On this episode I talk to talented artist Fiona Brady about her experience with an abusive relationship that lasted 5 years. Fiona bravely talks about the night she was raped at age 16, and how her abuser held it over her for years. She talks about her experience with coercive control, getting out of the relationship and learning to be in a healthy relationship again through therapy and patience.

I speak to Jordie Sheridan, another Irish woman I met after she made a video sharing her story of an abusive relationship online to promote awareness during our fundraiser for Womens Aid. She shares the early details of the relationship and when red flags started to show. We also discuss the discomfort that may be present after abuse around men and strangers, learning to trust in a new relationship, and experiencing triggering situations.
