Jesus in the sermon on the mount, invites Gentiles, poor people, females, sinners, the sick, and the most unacceptable in society into the Kingdom of God.
Jesus starts the greatest sermon of all time by disrupting our assumptions about the good life, about the blessed life.
The power of the kingdom always flows to those who need it most. It's these kind of people, who are in positions like this, who develop postures that are most able to see their need for God.
Matthew 5:1-12
5 Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down, his disciples came to him.
The Beatitudes
2 And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
5 “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons[a] of God.
10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

This sermon was, and will be, the greatest sermon ever preached.
Since the beginning of time, great speeches have shaped the world. Martin Luther King's I have a dream to fight for equal rights. John F Kennedy, we're going to the moon. When we took one huge step for mankind. Winston Churchill's we shall fight on the beaches before we storm the beaches at Normandy. But no words have shaped our world like those found in Jesus's Sermon on the Mount.
These words have created new world views. They've elevated ethics; they've captured the imaginations of philosophers and thinkers, both Christian and secular alike. These ancient words, spoken by a rabbi on a mountainside in first century Palestine, have been more read, repeated, and studied than almost any other words in history.
These words created a culture, and we'll do it again today.

Have you ever considered how much of Jesus ministry happened around the table? One of the things that you might pick up on in Luke's investigation in the life of Jesus in his gospel, is the theme of memorable meals.
The church is not the church, the atmosphere is not the ekklesia, without you consistently gathering with other people around the table.
What would happen if you reimagined how you started thinking about the table? Early on in the Christian movement, Christianity didn't take shape behind pulpits, altars, or in books. It took shape around a table.
42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe[a] came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Acts 2:42-47

Life is about relationships.
More than anywhere else on the planet, the Church is where you will really find your people. It's where you'll find your people to do life with. Your people who will sharpen you, your people who will encourage you, your people who will inspire you, people who will be there for you and with you.
When Jesus names his people The Church, He is making this declarative statement that He didn't come to just build a building, and He didn't come to just start a religion.
He came to create a new people, a people who would be called out of the world and assembled or gathered together for His purposes.
"42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. There are generations of Christians that have devoted their minds and lives to getting the message of the Gospel to people. Which is great…. but this is the reality - Tools don’t mean anything if we don’t share them.
Our prayer is that this message of the kingdom would ignite urgency and fire in our generation to share the Gospel often and with passion.
5 reasons we must urgently share the message of the Kingdom.
Reason 1 - It is Plan A for the Kingdom.
Reason 2 - It is Good News.
Reason 3 - It is a war for the soul.
Reason 4 - It is our mission for every person to hear.
Reason 5 - It is the power of God.
"8 And he entered the synagogue and for three months spoke boldly, reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God. 9 But when some became stubborn and continued in unbelief, speaking evil of the Way before the congregation, he withdrew from them and took the disciples with him, reasoning daily in the hall of Tyrannus. 10 This continued for two years, so that all the residents of Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.
The Sons of Sceva
11 And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them."
Acts 19:8-11

The beauty of Spiritual conversations is that they are doorways that God uses to open people’s hearts and minds to the hope of Jesus.
Every conversation is a divine appointment waiting to happen and an opportunity to share the Good News of the Gospel with anyone, anywhere.
We live in a world where news is everywhere that you look. It’s on social media, it’s on billboards and in magazines and newspapers. Our feeds are filled with the latest headlines; typically those headlines aren’t all so good-- tragedy, war, and division flood our feeds.
In a world full of so much negativity, deep down, our souls are craving a message that speaks to the deepest desires of our hearts.
One of Jesus’ primary purposes of coming to earth was to bring Good News.
22 So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious. 23 For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription: ‘To the unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. 24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man,25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. 26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us,
28 for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’
29 Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man. 30 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, 31 because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.”
32 Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked. But others said, “We will hear you again about this.” 33 So Paul went out from their midst. 34 But some men joined him and believed, among whom also were Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them.
Acts 17:22-33

Jesus, in Matthew 25, uses this brilliant contextual illustration about sheep and goats to paint the picture of what it is going to be like when He comes back.
"You've gotta get this in your bones that the God who became flesh will come back to rule as king, and he will sit on a throne, and he will bring angels with him."
Joey McLaughlin
In this message we look at:
The Return of The King.
The Glory of the Kings Return
The Gathering of the Kings Return
The Sheep and Goats at the Kings Return
The Judgement at the Kings Return
The Blessing and Banquet at the Kings Return.
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

One day, we will stand before Jesus and give an account for our lives.
That should motivate us and change how we live today.
Jesus has given us HIS KINGDOM to live in today and He’s coming back at a time we won’t expect and when He does, He’s coming as the King and He is gonna ask us: “What did you do with the life that I gave you?”
Through a series of parables, Jesus encourages us to live awake, to live prepared, and to live like He’s coming back.
In this message, Pastor Joe Baker gives a powerful message teaching on the Parable of the Talents.
The Parable of the Talents
14 “For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. 15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. 16 He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. 17 So also he who had the two talents made two talents more. 18 But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money. 19 Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. 20 And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me five talents; here, I have made five talents more.’ 21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 22 And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me two talents; here, I have made two talents more.’ 23 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 24 He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, 25 so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here, you have what is yours.’ 26 But his master answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? 27 Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents. 29 For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
Matthew 25:14-30

In this parable the orphan finds their adoption. In this parable the proud are humbled. In this parable the wayward find their way home.In this parable the refugee finds shelterIn this parable the hurting find healingIn this parable the sinner finds their savior. This is the parable of the prodigal son. 11 And he said, “There was a man who had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.’ And he divided his property between them. 13 Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living. 14 And when he had spent everything, a severe famine arose in that country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs. 16 And he was longing to be fed with the pods that the pigs ate, and no one gave him anything.17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father's hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.”’ 20 And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 But the father said to his servants,[d] ‘Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. 23 And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate.25 “Now his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 And he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and sound.’ 28 But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him, 29 but he answered his father, ‘Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your property with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!’ 31 And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. 32 It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’”Luke 15:11-32We'd love for you to subscribe to our channel and turn on notifications to get updates on our latest content and resources that will help more people know Jesus and people know Jesus more.GIVE : We believe that generosity is golden. When Jesus walked this earth, more than he talked about money or peace or faith or politics, He talked about The Kingdom.
The Kingdom of God, or the Kingdom of Heaven, or simply, the Kingdom. And when talking about the Kingdom, we have to be reminded that it’s simple enough for a child to understand and enter in, but also complex enough for you to never feel like you’ve got it all figured out.
Jesus, when speaking about the Kingdom, didn’t give us definitions for what the Kingdom of God is. Instead, he gave illustrations. He told stories -- parables.
Jesus communicated through stories to connect with the hearts of His audience and deposit truth into their souls.
Parables are simply practical stories or earthly stories with a heavenly meaning.
Today, we’re diving into a story Jesus told that shakes us up and calls us out. It's about a banquet, but not just any banquet—it's a royal feast hosted by the King Himself. And guess what? You’re invited to dine with the King.
But there’s a twist with this story, because it’s in this story that Jesus exposes the excuses that we make that lead to us rejecting His invitation.

The most famous parable is the Good Samaritan.
Can you just consider how there is no good reason that this small story, just seven verses told by some irrelevant Jewish rabbi, would show up in secular institutions and on political platforms?
We name hospitals after this story. People, some of the most famous painters in the world, would want to paint this story that this little rabbi told in the middle of nowhere.
It speaks to something within us that is transcendent, something that is intrinsic... It speaks to something in us as humanity that says this is the way that things should be.

by everyone. It’s covered, it’s buried, people are blind to it, they walk right past it never
realizing what they are trampling upon. It’s hidden to them.
This is why people can see Jesus without seeing Jesus.
Why people can hear the gospel, without hearing the gospel.
Why prayer gets discounted, why consistent church attendance is way under valued.
They see dirt, they don’t see the divine. To them the Kingdom looks like trash—they don’t
realize it’s treasure.
Tune in to this powerful message from Pastor Joey about the treasure of the Kingdom of God.

Contrary to popular belief, Jesus didn’t come to establish a political party or create a new religion. Jesus didn’t come to earth to just love people and make their lives better, although he did do that — Jesus came to establish a Kingdom. The Kingdom of God.
When Jesus began to speak, He didn’t compare the Kingdom of God to a high mountain, a mighty river or even a majestic oak. Jesus compared the Kingdom of God to a tiny mustard seed!
Jesus uses the image of something little to teach us about something larger than we can comprehend.
A mustard seed mindset believes that what is small in the kingdom of Jesus is wildly significant.

Jesus isn't as interested in intellectually checking the boxes and formulating a definition for the Kingdom, As He is in telling stories.
Instead of using definitions for the Kingdom, Jesus understood that the kingdom needs to be felt.
For you to really understand the kingdom, you need more than nouns, verbs, and adjectives creating subject matter... you need emotion. You need experience. You need for these concepts and ideas to transition into reality so that the kingdom doesn't just get talked about... but the kingdom gets lived.

In this message, Pastor Joey preaches about the already, not yet Kingdom of God.
One of our big goals for this series has been to try to shatter the understanding that heaven is just a place that we'll go to someday, up in the sky. What we're wanting to do is talk about this idea of the kingdom of heaven or the kingdom of God.
Inaugurated eschatology -- articulates the already not yet kingdom of God. That the kingdom has come, but the kingdom is still coming, that the kingdom is started, it's established, but it's not finished.
In these three Illustrations -- Trains, Wars, & Thunderstorms, we understand what it means for the already, not yet of the Kingdom of God

We are in a series of messages talking about what Jesus talked about most, and what Jesus talked about most was the kingdom of God.
The kingdom is everything in the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John). It's prolific, redundant, explicit, everywhere, every thing the epicenter of the story.
More than anything else, this is Jesus' primary topic of conversation. It's his favorite thing to bring up and to talk about. And, one of the things that you'll find is that a significant part of this kingdom was pretty... weird.

What kind of king is Jesus?
What kind of king was He expected to be?
Throughout Scripture, the Kingdom of God has a lot of different names. At times it is called the Kingdom of Christ, or just the kingdom or the Kingdom of Christ and God, or the kingdom of his beloved son. The gospel writer Matthew refers to it as the Kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of heaven. Now this creates quite the problem for our modern 21st century ears, because when we see or hear the Kingdom of heaven, we immediately think this mysterious place in the sky that we will one day go to when we die.
And the challenge with that is that Jesus didn't come as much to get us into this mysterious place called heaven as he did come to bring heaven to earth, to bring his kingdom down, to bring his kingdom here. He prays this in the Lord's Prayer, what has been called the Lord's Prayer in Matthew chapter six, verse ten, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Many people's conception of the Christian gospel goes something like this... 2000 years ago, a man named Jesus came from heaven to earth. He lived a good life, performs miracles. But then he died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. And then he was placed in a grave. Three days later, he got up out of that grave and he returned to heaven, where now he is waiting to someday come back again.
And if you believe that in your heart, then you too will get to go to this magical place called heaven when you die. And so pray this prayer. Believe it in your heart and you'll get to go to heaven when you die. Oh, and then p.s., P.S. if you've got like, time for it. Be kind to other people and like if it fits in your schedule, like go to church and eat all the chick fil A, you can and you know, like, don't watch rated our movies unless they're unless it's the passion of the Christ.
In this series and sermon we want to propose for you today that Christianity is infinitely better than just getting your ticket to heaven punched. Christianity is exponentially more thrilling and exciting and interesting and robust and relevant and practical and ever expanding and all encompassing than you could ever imagine.

Is there evidence of Jesus's resurrection?
Is there evidence that Jesus was the son of God?
In this Easter message, Pastor Joey McLaughlin preaches a powerful apologetic defense for the reality of the Easter story.
"For most people Easter is an energetic day full of pretty colors, gourmet lunches, fun festivities, family traditions, and a nice peppy religious service. But can I remind you that today it's real? That the resurrection is real?"
You cannot avoid the evidence of an empty grave.
The resurrection of Jesus confirms the identification of Jesus: Jesus is the son of God.
