The girls get into how the past 7 months affected their friendship, and they get into some of Rach's weird friendship trauma. Can anyone else relate?? Rach talks more about her motherhood and obsession with Elsie, and roasts herself for who she was when she was pregnant. I hope you guys are ready to buckle in and get down to the nitty gritty of where in the hell Jess and Rach have been for the last 7 months. The girls start off with some light banter, but pretty quickly get into the heaviest meat we've ever served... Jess's telling of what she went through last year, and the journey of grief that she's been navigating since March 2023.

It's been a hell of a year for our friend Jess, and we are just so grateful for this community who we know have been holding her close in our absence.

Rach, Josh, and Elsie are live in their living room to tell the tale of Elsie's birth and the 3 weeks that have followed. Keep your ears out for sweet baby coos throughout the episode, they are quite the treat! Rach starts off with a top TOTD, Josh gives his theory on breastmilk science, and they get into the ins and outs of the black hole they've been in for the past 3 weeks. Josh shocks Rachel with an update on his prepper supplies, and if y'all need some dry beans in the apocalypse you know who to contact. Before we get into the meat, Rach announces that the girls are needing to take a break while both of them navigate the huge life changes ahead of them. The meat this week is Elsie's birth story! Rach and Josh relive the 28-hour marathon experience of welcoming their daughter into the world. Spoiler: absolutely nothing went to plan. The induction was truly tested Rach's sanity, but it was absolutely all worth it in the end. There was no part of her birth plan that actually happened, so shout out to her doula Christy for keeping the ship afloat. Toward the end of the episode we get into some questions you submitted about parenthood and the past 3 weeks that have been a total whirlwind. We get into our mental health, bodily functions, how we've navigated parenthood as partners, and much more.
Jess and I will miss you guys SO MUCH. Thank you for your continued love and support. This podcast and community has meant the world to us, and we can't thank you enough for sticking with us through the hardest of seasons.

In this episode Meredith will tell the positive birth stories of both of her children, and the girls get into their thoughts on birth, parenthood, and all the adjustments that come with navigating this new stage of life. Everyone's favorite is back from her battical- pt. 2! And the girls are LIVE from Jess's NEW house! The soon-to-be parents take over the mic this week to go over all your burning questions before baby Elsie gets here! Josh fills everyone in on some recent test results and health anxieties. Rach tells an embarrassing story from a run-in with a past teacher. Josh celebrates his 30th birthday and Rachel gives her two cents on curing climate change.
On this episode Rach and Josh answer a bunch of questions from our listeners and go over some newlywed advice, hopes for parenting, our current (lack of) sex life, and the future with our daughter. We loved having this opportunity to connect and look forward to the next stage of our lives. Jess is moving (and slowly losing her mind) so longtime listener, first time guest, MEREDITH, graces the pod with her presence this week! Meredith is Rach's best friend of the past 15 years, and the girls take everyone down memory lane from their church camp days to present. The episode hits the ground running because we've got a LOT to catch you guys up on before we start getting into the adult part of our friendship. The episode is really driven by one very important question raised by one of our listeners: "Have you ever had a partner the other didn't like?" Rach and Meredith's relationship has been challenged throughout the years revolving around that exact question because spoiler: Meredith's type happens to be Rachel's worst nightmare. The girls reflect on their 2014 NYE from Hell, introduce Rach's former nemesis, "Frank", and have a lot of laughs before they get into talking about the growth their relationship has taken within the last year after a real 5 year STRUGGLE. The girls huddle up realllll close this episode in order to work around yet another technical difficulty! 2023 is the year of CHANGE. Jess got the keys to her new house, Rach has a run-in with "free-will", and the girls bond over their individual neighborhoods character. What is life without a few gunshots and SWAT team raids?? Jess jumps into a reflection on 2022 - not for her personally, because we all know that was a shit show, but for the world in general. Inflation... egg costs are on the RISE, and Rach goes on quite a long egg-rant #egggirlsriseup?? Abortion bans, War in Ukraine, and a bunch of other bullshit really helps solidify that 2022 was not all it was cracked up to be. Rach gives her pop culture predictions for 2023 (is she becoming more relevant??) Some of them *might* be manifesting... we ALL need a new Olivia Rodrigo album in 2023, okay?! Jess brings us home with some of her hopes for this year, and positive changes she wants to make. Rach... well she's just hoping to survive in her first year of motherhood. Overall this is a pretty lighthearted episode that will hopefully put you in the right mood to make 2023 a wonderful year for CHANGE.

Happy Honda Days and Merry Toyotathon to all! We hope all our pod friends had a better holidays than we did. Also heads up for some slight mic malfunctions throughout this episode... 2022 Year Of Bullshit is really putting us through the ringer.
