Nottingham City Council yesterday announced a deal with Nottingham Forest was all but agreed to sell the City Ground freehold to the club and allow them to redevelop the world famous stadium. However, later in the day, Forest issued a statement of their own saying no deal was not yet done and 'relevant permissions' were needed before a sale could be confirmed.
We discuss the developments and whether the deal will collapse or if this is a small bump in the road before a successful conclusion.
Meanwhile, it has been announced the women's team are going full time and playing 11 games at the City Ground next season. We'll also touch on that excellent news. #NFFC

Nottingham Forest's players return for pre-season today with the squad slowly starting to take shape. Elliott Anderson is the headline signing so far with the Reds having sold Odysseas Vlachodimos, Orel Mangala and Moussa Niakhate sold for good transfer fees, the latter two to Lyon. Reports over the weekend now suggest Forest may bid a massive £30m for Lyon defender Jake O'Brien defender with Everton rumoured to be only keen on paying £20m. #NFFC

Nottingham Forest and Olympiacos have exchanged a series of players since Evangelos Marinakis took over the club in 2017. Most of the transfers have failed, although there has been moderate success in the cases of Cafu and Omar Richards, while the sale of Joao Carvalho will have helped with the books.
Most recently, Forest have signed Marko Stamenic from Red Star Belgrade and promptly loaned him to the giants of Greek football for a season. Plenty of Reds fans are sceptical the New Zealand international will ever play for Forest so we spoke to sports radio host Jason Pine of Sky Sport in Stamenic's homeland to find out more about the 22-year-old. Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga has been linked with a move to Newcastle United by multiple media outlets as part of deals to help tackle PSR issues for Eddie Howe's team.
Newcastle have to sell by tomorrow (June 30) to avoid a Premier League points deduction. Forest too have to sell but are looking to move Orel Mangala and Moussa Niakhate to Lyon to solve their issues, meaning they can keep highly rated winger Elanga.
If Newcastle do buy Elanga then it seems Forest would purchase one of Yankuba Minteh, Eliot Anderson or perhaps both. Reds fans do not seem keen on a scenario where Elanga goes, so we sat down with Newcastle fan Rob Smyth to get some insight on Minteh and Anderson to see what they offer #NFFC. #nufc

Nottingham Forest have until June 30 to make sure they are PSR compliant or face a second Premier League points deduction. The Reds reportedly need to make around £20m in PSR profit but they could be close to getting over the line after the Daily Telegraph reported Forest are close to completing the sales of Orel Mangala to Lyon, while a move to Lyon is also possible for Moussa Niakhate for around £20m. John Percy reports that should be enough to get the club over the line.
Meanwhile, the Telegraph and Brazilian media report Chelsea are keen to sign Murillo, with reports in Brazil saying Chelsea have offered a players plus cash deal, while other Premier League clubs are also said to be interested along with Atletico Madrid.

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a £17m bid for Leeds United and Italy winger Wilfried Gnonto. We'll discuss that report on the 20-year-old as well as links with Fenberbahce defender Jayden Ooseterwolde and ongoing interest in Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher. #nffc
This all comes after Forest did complete the signing of Marko Stamenic from Red Star Belgrade before immediately loaning him to Olympiacos, while Carlos Miguel should be announced as a Forest player in the next few days. Those deals comes with the Reds under pressure to sell players before June 30 to avoid another Premier League points deduction.
Other clubs seem to have adopted their own approach to beat sanctions as Everton, Aston Villa and Chelsea in particular trade Academy products. Forest might be getting in on the act though as they are linked with Villa youngster Lamare Bogarde for £4m.
