Should you split the bill with non-vegans when you go out to eat?
Ask any non-vegan this, and they'll most likely shrug and say "ya, why not?". But ask any vegan this question, and you've started a conversation!
It's not a big deal for non-vegans to split the bill, but when you go vegan, even little things like going out to eat with friends can suddenly become an anxiety inducing event.
In this episode, I share:
1. My progression from never splitting the bill, to being happy splitting the bill with non-vegans.
2. Tactics on how to split the bill while minimizing any awkwardness.
3. Why splitting the bill with your non-vegan friends isn't as bad, ethically, as you might think.

I tried going vegan, but I was always hungry.
This is one of the most common responses I get when people learn that I'm vegan. It's like this is one of the set of 3 possible responses people will say!
Whether it's an excuse for stopping veganism or not, it's VERY common to feel hungry when you first go vegan. But with a few small adjustments, you will never go hungry again!

1. If you're trying to go vegan but you're always hungry: eat MORE, eat DIFFERENT, but also, eat the SAME as you did before you went vegan.
2. How to know when to talk to a medical professional.
3. If you tried to go vegan but you were always hungry, you probably just went plant based.

84% of vegans quit. This is a huge number. On the one hand, it's sad. On the other, it's comforting. Going vegan is HARD!

Burn out is a real phenomenon. Recognizing that it exists is an incredible first step in treating and ideally PREVENTING it.

Going vegan is a radical lifestyle change. For some people, it’s possible to make the change overnight. But for most of us, making such a huge lifestyle change can take months (and even years in Serena’s case!).
