After hours of voice notes over the almost 2 years we've known each other, Em and I decided to share some of our own thoughts, reflections and experiences with you too. (This will not be the last one, that's for sure!)
We talk about how our friendship has healed our sisterhood wounding and how life-changing it has been to have someone who always sees the highest version of you, especially when you can't.
Em & I have chosen to live an "alternative" lifestyle and have realised the pressures that we both put ourselves under to be a "representative" of this life to others. It's not the easy route right now because of the societies we live in but knowing you've got someone who understands a phone call away, makes all the difference.
Em shares her practice of yoni massage and we also dive into the roles that we're here to play and how we've had to learn how to get out of our own way in order to be of service to others.

You may have been taught that it's safer to keep your light hidden and your voice small; to hide behind the bushes instead of growing tall. At first it may feel uncomfortable and you may be afraid of what others think... but with each passing day it does become easier, Little by little you realize that it draws in those who are meant for you; and experiences you've been longing for arrive at your feet.

In today's episode, I give a little life update and share the incident that happened to me a few days ago, how I'm moving through it and the main emotions that are present for me right now: anger and shame.
Shame has been a topic that has come up a lot recently, for myself and for my clients. I talk about how shame is incredibly smart in that it stops us from allowing us to observe the needs, wants and desires beneath it.

Did you know that there's different types of intuition?
This week, I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Hillary McVeigh, a Human Design reader and teacher guiding and teaching us about all of the different types of authorities in Human Design. If you're new to HD or have worked with it before, this episode is a great introduction or reminder of how to truly work with your own intuition.
Hillary has such a grounded approach and advice to share with us so that you can feel confident in applying your design in the real world. From identifying what your intuition sounds like to you, to discussing being in relationship with someone with a different authority to you, and the difference between intuition and fear and the traps we can fall into to keep ourselves safe, this episode is filled with so much wisdom and I'm so excited to share it with you!

In this episode, I have the pleasure of welcoming my first guest onto my show: my own Mama - Katarzyna Rutkowska-Parkes, a healer and therapist. We discuss a topic that I don't feel is talked about enough: how the dynamics shift change between children and their parents as the children grow older and become adults themselves.
We also discuss how, as much as we're led to believe, there is no "right" or "wrong" way to do things and how to embark on your healing journey with an open and compassionate mindset.

🩸 In this episode, I discuss the shame I've personally experienced surrounding my menstrual cycle, using my menstrual blood as a face mask and even using the words womb and yoni. I delve into the societal pressures that make us as women hesitant to freely share and express these aspects of their lives, which are, fundamentally, simply a part of our existence being a woman, for fear of being shamed, isolated or rejected. I've had enough and I'm doing my best to no longer subscribe to that fear.
Additionally, I explore the concept of authenticity and how we can sometimes put unnecessary pressure on ourselves to share when we actually don't want to. We've been sold this idea that to be "authentic", you have to bare your soul to the world, when that's simply not true. What we share, who we share with and how we do it, is completely our choice and there's no requirement to bare all to be considered genuine.
