In golf, thankfully there are SO many different formats that we can play to make the game more enjoyable and to play it with friends! In this episode of 'Greens and Scenes' Cam and G discuss their favourite and least favourite golf formats to play.
While matchplay allows you to be more aggressive, strokeplay also allows for the truest test of golf against the course. We discuss how there are certain occasions each format comes into its own and give a run through of some formats you can try on your next outing to the course.
Whether it is a random club generator, worst ball scramble or alternate shot; there are so many ways to rekindle your love for the game if you are struggling with some golfing winter blues. Tune in to hear our thoughts on all of these formats and many more!
Thank you for listening, and please let us know down in the comments you favourite and least favourite formats as well as any discussion topics you'd like to hear in future episodes!
Share with your golfing partners for some inspiration for your next match! -

This topic was one we didn't think to touch on, however, it was requested in the comments section of our first YouTube podcast, so here we are! 😁
Let us know down in the comments what topics you want to see covered next on Greens & Scenes. Hope you found this one somewhat interesting even with the various tangents we always fall off onto! 🫶🏼 -
How much of a difference really is there between high level amateur golfers and professionals? In today's episode of Greens & Scenes, your hosts Cam & G sit down to discuss some of the factors that make the professional golf level that huge jump up from a scratch player.
From our experiences in amateur events, to playing courses such as The Old Course and Pinehurst, both in tournament and regular conditions. We discuss what Nick Nørggard said to G when she asked about pressure during high level events, and we try to unpack why a scratch golfer is most likely getting no where near level par in some of the pro events!
Thank you guys for listening, and please let us know down in the comments your thoughts and any suggestions for future podcast episodes 🎧 -
Today we're talking about Anstruther - a 9-hole golf course just a short drive outside of St Andrews. This short course has been one of Georgina's favourites for a long time, and after we both headed over there last summer, we're here to try convince you of exactly why this course should NOT be missed out on a golf trip to St Andrews. From the views to the award winning par 3, this course is like no other and makes for a really fun couple of hours out on the course.
**Note, it was actually 2007 the course won hardest par 3 in the UK - not 2012, although, that would have been very appropriate if it had of, in our opinion!
Remember you can watch our 9-hole match at Anstruther over on our YouTube channel 'CGGolfs', and let us know down in the comments where you think we should play next! -
