In this episode with Sara Bacon we’re talking about Human Design which combines astrology, the chakra system, kabala, and quantum physics to chart the innate gifts and characteristics that we came into this life with. It’s like the new Myers Briggs, and it is everywhere these days. Sara is an absolute whiz at explaining what looks like an incredibly complicated chart, and even gave me a *live* mini reading during this episode so you that could get a sense of how HD works. The assessment was not only incredibly validating, but empowering for anyone navigating their purpose, career path, or relationship patterns.

We’ve been waiting for 2021 to arrive for, like, ever. Our resident astrologer Stephanie Gailing stopped by to give us a preview of what the year has in store for us and how we can best work with the energies of the cosmos. Some signs will have it easier than others, but one thing is certain: Staying bouncy is the name of the game as we rebuild this country and our own foundations to better align with our values.

We’ve all heard it before: put on your oxygen mask before assisting others. But living like you are truly enough and have value no matter what is another story. Self-worth coach Aubree Henderson is so clear and convinced about her worth and your worth that it will make you sit up taller and want to love yourself harder. This episode is going to hit you in the gut in the best way possible.

Somatic therapist Zahara Jade has been through it all. Before an Eat Pray Love moment and near-death experience in her twenties, she had a rare autoimmune disease and an abusive childhood. It’s clear that helping the rest of us heal from trauma is her calling. And we have all experienced some form of trauma. According to Zahara it’s likely presenting itself now, as we process the collective trauma that is 2020. We’re going to start peeling back those layers in this episode.

Cady Macon a co-active coach, akashic records reader and the creator of Compass Cards, a self-coaching deck of cards that help you get unstuck. She’s also all about and trusting yourself—not just the signs—no matter where it takes you. What I love most about Cady is she’s a bohemian at heart, which I hope will serve as a gentle reminder during these very serious times that life is meant to be lived, and this healing journey doesn’t always need to be so heavy.

Kaila Przymus is an animal communicator and reiki healer. She once told me that she was more comfortable working with animals than humans. Embracing her gifts was like coming out—and we are so glad she did. Grab your pet and cuddle up for this episode. We recorded following the first Presidential debate, so I needed a little healing of my own from Kaila.

Yamarie Negron is a no-bs intuitive coach who like many of us spent, most of her life checking all of the boxes until she realized that none of them were making her happy. This episode is a lesson in learning to trust yourself and your intuition, even—and especially—when things don’t go as planned.

We’re back after doing some deep healing work of our own, including with today’s guest Holly Heilman. Holly practices PSYCH-K® a subconscious reprogramming process that transform trauma, limiting beliefs, and all of those stories that were written on our souls in childhood, in COVID, even in past lives. Because if your subconscious hasn’t caught up to who you want to be today, then it’s hard to reach your full potential.

She’s one of the most beloved breathworkers in the country, but Josephine Edmondson came to the practice reluctantly. An introvert and highly sensitive soul, she lived in her head like so many of us. Breathwork gave her the capacity to feel and to heal. Our friend, Amanda Carter Gomes, joined us with an impromptu testimonial of the heart-opening power of breathwork and the magic that is Jo.

I almost didn’t record this episode because I couldn’t bring my A-game right. But the reality is that there is no one right way to be right now. There is no one way to grieve. NYC-based healer Jennifer Sokolov is here to help us find a way forward. In this episode, which we recorded with spotty, COVID-style wifi, we talk about being in crisis and the call that we all have to answer. I hope that the conversation supports you in whatever way you need most right now.

Fan girl moment here…Ophira from my favorite cosmic duo the Astrotwins is here to give us a preview of the year ahead. From tough love advice by element (air, fire, earth, water) to how parent during these uncertain times, she’s arming us with the shifts that will serve us. It’s not going to be easy—Ophi calls this decade the boring 20s (get it?)—but there’s hope if you’re willing to put in the work.

We talk a lot about being our own healer on this show, and this month we’re digging into it on a physical level. And there’s no one better to show us how to listen to our bodies than Christina Tidwell. After suffering from a rare autoimmune disease at 18, she went on to become a functional nutritionist, registered nurse and holistic health coach. It’s that trifecta that makes Christina’s approach to tackling everything from chronic illness to nagging fatigue so empowering.

After hearing from so many of you that our How I Heal column should be a podcast, we're taking it to the airwaves. These episodes will be a little bit different: instead of speaking with healers, we'll be having unproduced and unedited conversations with people about their own healing journey. Enjoy! And let us know what you think at [email protected]
Our first guest is makeup artist, mother and wife Hannah Kuhary, who is sharing her recent (surprise!) spiritual awakening so that you might feel less alone in yours.
