We were so pleased to have our friend, Kate Schat of Venison for Dinner, on the podcast to talk about the family milk cow. She is an expert on this topic and gave a lot of great information from what to look for when buying a milk cow to what to do with all the milk. This was such a good conversation. We hope you'll enjoy it.

We want you to feel as prepared as possible if you're wanting to get into homesteading. We are sitting down to talk about all of the different skills we think are important to have on every homestead. I think you may be surprised, just as I was, to find that you have more skills than you think you do. I hope you will find this encouraging.

That's one question we have gotten many times before, "Can I Ever Leave the Homestead?" And while it's not easy, it is possible. This has been a bit of pain point for Adam and I since starting our homestead, and we are talking about it today in this episode. Let us know what you think by sending an email to [email protected]. Thanks for listening!

Today we are sitting down and chatting with our good friend, Meg Hollar, about what the Lord is speaking to her this year around food and sharing her table with others. We think you'll enjoy this interview and hope it will inspire you to gather around the table with people you know and people you don't.

Coming up with a plan is essential. Not to say it can't change, but you need to have that end goal in mind when you start your homestead. Will you work a job off the homestead in order to pay for infrastructure and such or do you want to make your entire income from the homestead? Adam and Michelle sit down today to talk through all of these things and more. We hope you enjoy and will leave us a review and rating!

We wanted you to hear Adam's story. This is how and why he came to leave his job pretty suddenly last summer. It was the roughest few months we've ever experienced in our marriage and he knew a choice had to be made, even though it was scary. We want you to hear God's faithfulness through it and pray it inspires you to listen and obey as well when he calls you to something.
