No Matter What: Prayer Matters

2 Timothy 4:2
proclaim the Word of God and stand upon it no matter what! Rise to the occasion and preach when it is convenient and when it is not. Preach in the full expression of the Holy Spirit—with wisdom and patience as you instruct and teach the people.
Why do we pray?
The Four Postures of Prayer
1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Proverbs 12:25
Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.

THE POSTURE OF HUMILITY
Psalms 37:3-4
Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

1. Humility results in God's grace.
2. Delight results in God's desires.
