  • Welcome to our Fringe Series! For the next 2 episodes, we will be giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the shows taking place this July at The Gargoyle Theatre during the Winnipeg Fringe Festival.

    For our third episode, Andrew speaks to Alli Perlov, a local theatre teacher who, for the past serveral years, has been entertaining fringe goers with her one-woman-musical, possibly comedic performances.

    Perlov plays dozens of characters, some human, some animal, and MANY objects, in a comedic exploration of Beauty and the Beast. In an homage to this brilliant musical adventure, through witty commentary and unstoppable energy, Perlov aims to entertain an audience that isn’t forced to be there like her students!

    The Goose is adapted from the traditional folk tale The Crane Wife. A story of identity, self-sacrifice, belonging, and the price of true love.

  • Tyler Leighton is a singer, dancer, and choreographer who has worked in musical theatre for almost two decades. He's a world class tap dancer who teaches musical theatre at Marquis Dance Academy. Tyler is currently the choreographer for Winnipeg's All-Dentist Musical's 2025 production of Chicago. This summer, you can catch him at Rainbow Stage performing in Frozen, from August 7-24.

    He is also the Coordinator of International Programs for the charity organization LiveDifferent.

  • Eve Ross Moore is a writer, singer and actor living in Winnipeg, MB. Eve is a part of the Village Conservatory's class of 2024/25, and performed her piece "Countdown" at this year's Inhibition/Exhibition, which took place at The Gargoyle Theatre. Eve has also performed with groups like Looking Glass Theatre and Indifferently Reformed, and will be producing her own show at this year's Winnipeg Fringe Festival.

  • Kara Joseph is an actor, musician, creator, and arts manager in Winnipeg, Manitoba, who was recently announced as the new Artistic Director of the Winnipeg Studio Theatre.   • Cory Wojcik is an actor, director, musician and playwright you've probably seen on one of Winnipeg's many stages working on projects from Shakespeare in the Ruins, RMTC, to local dinner theatre!

  • Rodrigo Beilfuss is the Artistic Director of Shakespeare in the Ruins, as well as an actor and director.

    Typically, Andrew interviews local creators about their lives and careers, but in this episode, Andrew and Rodrigo will dive deep into one of the bard's most infamous tragedies - Hamlet.

    Shakespeare in the Ruins and The Gargoyle Players are co-producing a brand new, one-man show of Hamlet, Hamlet: The Modern Player's Guide. Andrew wrote the show alongside next episode's guest, Duncan Cox. Rod will direct this specific production.
