This is the first in a series of program featuring Luxury Global Expeditions Concierge services with Bruce Oliver. Luxury Global Expeditions Concierge Groups. View amazing video footage on one of my other channels or go to the previous link.Bruce Oliver: Well, welcome everybody. Today we’re going to be talking to Tony pace. Tony is an entertainer that I’ve known for a number of years and he does an extraordinary job with everything from impressions to singing and just unbelievable shows. Everybody that’s seen him has said the same thing. Tony has been on expedition cruises all couple of years now and he’s on an expedition cruise right now on Seabourn Quest. Welcome to the show. Tony, how are you doing todayTony Pace: Thank you Bruce. I appreciate that. I’m doing great. I’m on the, Seabourn Quest headed down to Antartica. we boarded on a in Buenos Aires, which is a great, incredible port to be from or to, to sail from. those of you who are looking for something to do in, in that region. When I say it is also a great destination point as well. but we joined, a few days ago on the Seabourn headed down to Antarctica as I said, and this is truly one of the great expedition, destinations that everyone in my, my humble opinion, everyone should do. At some point in their lives.Bruce Oliver: Absolutely. And the, the ship, you’ve been on all kinds of ships, doing all types of entertainment over the last few years. How was this ship, the Quest different than the other ships that you’ve been on?Tony Pace: Well, the Quest is a smaller, a smaller ship. Basically. It has a passenger capacity of a about 400 plus about 400 people. and plus the, the crew of course. So you have 400 passengers as opposed to some of the larger ships that have 2000, 3000 on up. it, it lends itself for a more intimate, intimate, the, you know, just experienced as far as that’s concerned. But they also bring on here, one of the most incredible expedition teams of, of about 12 people that are experts. They will forget more than I will ever remember each one of them. It’s just absolutely amazing. Some of them, were stationed in Antartica for one is specifically, Paul was there for 26 years. So their knowledge is just amazing. First off and the ship, adds a level of amazing luxury. so you’re doing an expedition, you’re doing an expedition cruise in luxury. and it’s, it’s amazing concept as far as that’s concerned. The, the suites are amazing. I mean all of it, the experience is top notch and, I recommend this, above all.Bruce Oliver: Absolutely. And you know, the thing is expedition ships are different than the regular ships because on this, on these ships are that Seabourn and a lot of the other ships that are made explicit, especially for this type of travel, have things like powered submarines. And with Seabourn, these ships have sub, some Marines that are leather upholstery, air conditioned in the bad climate stereo system, champagne service, et cetera. It’s just unbelievable. I remember years ago,Tony Pace: No, as a matter of fact, the, the Seabourn has, taken the expedition aspect to the next level. And they are, I believe if, if I’m correct, they’re building another two ships that are, I think they were smaller. and they, they are specifically for expedition, and they will have submarines that will be part of the expedition aspect. I think that’s the next up and coming thing.Bruce Oliver: Absolutely. And the, the other thing is, is there a lot of these smaller expedition ships have, some of them have helicopters and heliports it’s just amazing where in Antartica you might be able to go inland or on the ice as well. It is land underneath the ice, closer to the South pole.

Going to the SuperBowl in Miami, Florida?Learn how sports fans arrange their bucket list travel with Bruce Oliver.Bruce: Good day to anybody that’s out there interested in going to future event and luxury sporting event. That’s what we offer today. And I’m talking to Barrett Caldwell from Road Trips, my website. If you are interested, you can go to http://luxurysportingevents.com and what can put together any package that you wish. As a matter of fact, bear can talk a little bit about today, the availability for the super bowl, which is in January and it just in a few days from now and what the likelihood is that you would be able to put together a package that we can develop for you and customize for you. Well, welcome to the program Barrett. I’m happy to see you and give us a little bit of background about, what you do and how you do it.Barrett: But yeah, my background specifically at road trips has been, has been wonderful. I mean we are the, the perennial kind of pick for someone who wants a luxury sporting event. So I would definitely put that asterick there that we’re going to be on the high end premium side of the market that doesn’t enact it has to be exorbitant. But yeah, surrounding the Superbowl. Let’s just talk that quickly because you mentioned it, is that we’re the go to resource for someone to have a seamless travel experience. So that means, Hey, take care of my tickets, take care of my accommodation, take care of getting me to and from the airport, add on some hospitality, add on some VIP, let’s say parties, some pregame, you know, festivities, things around Superbowl weekend in Miami. I actually, you know, funny enough flew back last night from Miami, I was down there doing a lot of prep work and kind of getting red trips ready to have our host fly in a which has representatives, our company, people who work for us to really make sure you have that seamless experience from airport pickup to hotel, greeting to tickets in hand to really put that seamless touch on sports travel.Barrett: And so that’s, that’s what I did in Miami to get us ready. And then obviously that I’ll carry through the next four or five days as people are there for the game. But gosh, you want to talk availability for it. I mean we’re priced, they’re probably at 98% sold at this point. And I had a last minute request this morning for a family of four. I think we’re going to be able to deliver on that. I have some confidence with two phone calls I made earlier, both with hotel and then of course the tickets we have. But yeah, we start, I mean, gosh, we start planning for Superbowls a year and a half to two years in advance with getting hotel space. We’re securing our ticket assets everywhere from, you know, kind of the upper deck, middle range all the way down to club seats at the 50 yard line we can deliver on.Barrett: Well, it’s, it’s, it’s, I mean, to that point right there, it’s what you said. I mean, my, my whole goal and what we do in road trips as a preferred partner, if you will, with brace, with your company and luxury sporting events is that I want to deliver on their preferred experience. All your best clients, any of your travelers out there watching, chances are somewhere in that top five bucket, they have sports somewhere. Whether that’s the kids in the family who loved tennis, whether that’s someone who has a Superbowl dream or a Tokyo Olympic stream or a Paris 20, 24 summer games dream, whatever it looks like. I’m just the one going, that’s your dream. My job is to create it. So working in partnership with you is where I sit there and kind of put the glue on their preferred experience so you can come to me and asked me how I would do it. But at the end of the day it’s what events do you want to s...

Author: Jane Congdon, “It Started with Dracula: “The Count, My Mother, and Me“ “As a young girl, Jane Congdon loved movies about Dracula. They ignited a dream in her to see the castles and forests of Transylvania, but first she had to face the monster that lurked in her very own house—a mother whose thirst was more frightening than a vampire’s. “During this interview learn more about Jane and her trip to Transylvania to do research on Vlad the Impaler the inspiration for the character Count Dracula. “Vlad III Dracula, known as Vlad the Impaler or Vlad Dracula, was Voivode of Wallachia three times between 1448 and his death. By Bruce Oliver, Luxury Travel AdviserAs a youth, I listened to my elders say, over and over, thatthe one thing they wish they had done more often was take longer vacations whenthey had their young families. Seldom did someone say I wish I had worked more.Couples who wait until retirement to travel may have lost their opportunity totravel while they were together or in good health. Now, one woman said, he’spassed and it’s too late. Another said, “When we were young, we thought thatwe’d be healthy forever. But now I must go for dialysis and it’s too late! (Notreally, many cruise lines can accommodate people on dialysis.)I love everything about travel. Early in life I always madetime to go somewhere new. Maybe it was because I belonged to a Scout Troop thatalways took us on vacations to Washington, D.C., World’s Fairs in Montreal andNew York City or destinations that the average boy would never visit. As anEagle Scout, I was awarded a 30-day bus trip across the United States to hikefor twelve days at Philmont National Boy Scout Reservation in Cimarron, NM.Today, I plan and use my vacations because I tend to be a workaholic. I plan atwo-week vacation at least once per year and each quarter I have weekend tripsto look forward to. This is especially important when things get difficult.Life is a sine wave with ups and downs. When the down periods come, I alwayssay, but I’m going on a cruise in a few weeks. Knowing this helps me cope withthe downs and I am more productive. As a matter of fact, productivity experts have discoveredthat the longer it is between vacations: “Fatigue sets in, rigidity applies, and all creativity and innovation are lost — both of which need time away forother activities to increase the probability of new ideas,” said Lotte Bailyn,an MIT researcher and author of the book “Breaking the Mold: Redesigning Workfor Productive and Satisfying Lives. (Bailyn, 2006)” “Unhealthy overworkcosts company’s money for healthcare and creates stressful and unrewardinglives, both of which detract from the good work they are supposed to befurthering.” Everything that I’ve read says the same thing. The more andlonger vacations that you take, the more productive you will be when you getback to work. I feel best coming back from a two-week vacation (I don’t meanvisiting relatives to paint their house either.) It usually takes me 3-4 daysto begin to relax and the balance of the vacation is full of rest andrelaxation. I’ve gotten to the point that the only time I say I’m on vacationis when I leave the country and get away from the phone which I answer 24/7 andmy normal regiment. According to Ellen Galinsky, President of Families and WorkInstitute, the longer your vacation, the less stress you’ll feel. People’sstress levels dropped significantly when they took over 6-days and more as theyapproached 13 or more consecutive days away from work and their regular routinelife. Families participating in these vacations tend to be less depressed andform tighter bonds with other family members (Ellen Galinski, 2014). It’s true, mysiblings and I often talk about the time we spent camping each summer at LakeOssipee in New Hampshire or at Clinton Beach in Connecticut. Galinski says: “Knowing that skipping vacation stifles creativity, creates health problems, leads to stress, depression, and less-than-ideal home lives, it seems as if companies would make vacation enforcement a priority. But with a few exceptions, the experts say that is not happening.

The London Eye AKA EDF Energy London Eye & The Millennium Wheel
Bruce Oliver, host of the Cruise with Bruce show, interviews Lauren, Press Officer with EDF Energy London Eye. The London Eye is also known as the British Air Millenium Wheel, The Millenium Wheel and EDF Energy London Eye. You can combine your experience on the London Eye with visits to other top London attractions such as Madame Tussauds, SEA LIFE London Aquarium or London Dungeon found in same park. The London Eye is located on the south bank of the River Thames in the Jubilee Gardens. It is a short walk from Westminster Underground and Waterloo Train Stations. Since 2000 tens of millions have taken the half hour ride on the largest "ferris wheel" in the world. In reality it is not a ferris wheel because it is supported only on one side unlike ferris wheels that are supported on two sides. From the giant observation wheel or cantilevered observation wheel you can see the Parliment Building and other famous structures in Greater London.
