Yesterday, we were shown unseen footage of Brian Higgins strolling around the Canton PD an hour or so after Karen Read dropped John O'Keefe off at the house on Fairview Road. The surveillance showed him doing various things like moving vehicles and transfering items from one car to another... but even more curiously, it showed him talking on the phone despite him denying that he made any phone calls that night. So, who was he talking to that late at night? And what were they talking about?....

In 1981, Wanda McCoy was brutally murdered in the small town of Grundy, Virginia. Her brother-in-law, Roger Keith Coleman, quickly became the prime suspect. Despite Coleman’s consistent claims of innocence, he was convicted and sentenced to death. This controversial case captured national attention, leading to public campaigns, media coverage, and intense debates about the death penalty and wrongful convictions. In an unprecedented move years after Coleman’s execution, posthumous DNA testing finally revealed the shocking truth. But what does this story tell us about the flaws and strengths in our justice system, our perceptions of guilt and innocence, and the power of persuasive narratives?

In this episode, we’re diving into one of the most brutal and heartbreaking cases in Kansas history—the Wichita Massacre. Over the course of just six days in December 2000, brothers Reginald and Jonathan Carr left a trail of unimaginable violence across the city of Wichita. Their crimes included robbery, rape, and the cold-blooded execution of five innocent people. But as horrifying as their spree was, this story is also about survival, resilience, and the strength of one woman who lived to tell the tale. We walk through every detail from the Carr brothers’ troubled upbringings to the night that forever changed five families, unpacking the disturbing twists, courtroom drama, and the legacy these crimes left behind.

In Day 3 of Karen Read’s trial, jurors heard revealing text messages between Karen and John O’Keefe, highlighting tension and insecurity in their relationship. The prosecution presented a controversial clip from a recent interview, where Karen described John’s mother, Peggy, remarking, “It looks like he got hit by a car.” The day wrapped up early due to scheduling conflicts, with the trial set to resume with a visit to the scene where John’s body was discovered.

In April 2006, 27-year-old medical student Brian Shaffer walked into a popular college bar in Columbus, Ohio and never walked out. Despite security footage showing him entering the Ugly Tuna Saloona, no camera ever caught him leaving. With no sign of struggle, no use of his bank accounts, and no trace of him anywhere, Brian’s disappearance has baffled investigators for nearly two decades. In this episode, we dig into the eerie timeline, explore the suspicious behavior of those closest to him, and unpack the theories—both logical and bizarre—that still swirl around this case. Did Brian vanish on purpose? Was foul play involved? Or did something unthinkable happen in those final moments? This is one of the most perplexing missing persons cases in modern history...and it’s never been solved.

I'm interrupting our typical schedule to release an extra episode about this case as it is currently developing in Frisco, TX. Karmelo Anthony, a 17 year old student is accused of stabbing 17 year old Austin Metcalf at a track meet after Karmelo refused to leave the tent where Austin and his teammates were sheltering from the rain. An altercation ensued and Austin ultimately lost his life, bleeding to death in his twin brother's arms. Karmelo and his supporters are claiming that this was in self-defense and a GoFundMe account has raised over $450,000 at the time of this recording in support of him, his family, and his legal fees.
