Shankar met Ananda Marga 1999 in the Congo region of Africa. He was in the army and became interested in one soldier who was a vegetarian which was uncommon then. He got initiated in 2001.

Eventually Dada is inspired to become a WT. The train drama, Dada leaves for training. His legs get paralysed! Baba guides by splashes muddy water in Dada’s face! Dada arrives for training. Is Baba a divine entity?
