Ever had someone complain about an entire medium and what makes it what it is? As if they’re wanting to do something else but won’t actually do it? Then they look like a douchebag because they’re complaining about something because it is what it is and they don’t like it? There’s a reason the “spaghetti and cheeseburger” analogy exists when it comes to video game critics. Games writers are now acting like the problem with video games is that they’re video games. That you play them instead of watching them. They’re saying the problem with video games is that they aren’t movies or TV. It’s like going into an Italian restaurant, ordering chicken fettuccine Alfredo, and then complaining it isn’t a cheeseburger.

It was inevitable. The ones who value ideology over creativity came for movies and television. They came for games. And now they come for comics. The usual tactics are in play: redefining "harassment" to posture themselves on a moral high ground, force others into choosing sides, and develop a blacklist for those who choose the "wrong side of history." It's a story we've heard before, and one we didn't want to cover. But like it or not, ComicsGate is here.

There are two ways to watch giant circlejerks: You can watch people self-gratify themselves until their arms fall off, or watch a Hollywood awards show. Y'know, the shows that are by Hollywood, for Hollywood, and spend more time patting themselves on the back than actually awarding real talent. We saw "The Handmaid’s Tale" win an Emmy because it’s supposed to be “relevant.” Unfortunately, it’s not relevant outside of Iran. You even have the #Resist celebs saying we live in a dystopia now. Yes, because dystopias are known for allowing these egotistical awards shows centered around virtue-signaling. How cringeworthy.

Zoë Quinn has released her book called Crash Override, and it was hardly a powerhouse upon release. Quinn is being lauded as a hero by her z-list celebrity friends, such as Chris Kluwe, Wil Wheaton, and Graham Linehan. How exacly is she a hero, when her most notable accomplishment is complaining about how mean people were to her on the Internet to the United Nations? It must be opposite day, because that’s a coward’s way of doing things.

Silicon Valley and its major successes have made the state of California a goldmine for anyone wanting to work in the tech industry. Now we see that it's starting to crumble after putting progressivism before the realities of capitalism. Without a smarter business model, the companies that make up Silicon Valley giants like Google will collapse with time. We’ve got talks on Twitter, YouTube, plus an actor resigning from a role due to not being the right shade of melanin.
