Danica Boyce is a writer, educator and researcher in vernacular spirituality, folklore and song. She is called to labour at the dream of undoing the wounds of imperialism by sowing love and connection to the living world. She has a Masters in medieval studies, a BA in English literature, and a Bachelor of Education in which she focused on Indigenous pedagogies.
For the past nine years she has been producing the popular Fair Folk Podcast, a research-based show making information about traditional cultures of Europe available to folks around the world. Since she began the podcast years ago, she has built this pagan research, practice and sharing into a rewarding career.

Tara is a Libra Moon and Rising with a Pisces Sun, Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury. Mariele Kaiser-Kadiogullari is a 12th house Taurus Sun with Chiron and Venus right on her Gemini AC. She has more than recovered from a decade of intense depression and anxiety disorder - an experience that cracked her open to now share all that she learned/remembered on that journey in her work with clients. In this glorious conversation, I talk with two alums of The 2024 Magician’s Table - Leah Roberts and Rachel Elliott - on the theme of TMT as a seed-keeping space, rather than a seed-growing space. The conversation was rooted in a discussion with Leah last summer that I hadn’t been able to quit thinking about.

We discussed:
the journey towards embracing one's inner authority and offering one's unique gifts Leah’s experience transitioning from compartmentalized authority from when she was a physician to offering a more integrated and holistic approach through her readings, which involve an ecosystem perspective the importance of trust and vulnerability in the de-compartmentalization process the importance of self-love and acceptance in the context of personal growth seed-keeping as a metaphor for storing and preserving memory of both challenge and support seeds - not as a means for an end - but as a complete and whole memory "TMT can be a seed that you’re keeping as a memory of what it means to be witnessed” TMT as a “hall of mirrors” Rachel’s experience with growing seeds during her time in TMT, which didn’t go as planned, and how she interprets this as a symbol of how focusing on personal growth and self-confidence (the "sun") can lead to unexpected developments and deep-rooted changes (the "red roots") in one's life. the concept of co-creation and the importance of surrendering expectations in a magical ecosystem TMT as the alchemy of the ecosystem, where individual expectations are transformed into something greater than the sum of its parts the concept of personal magic and participating in a community of mostly strangers following one's spark and being open to the experience+++
Leah Roberts (she/they) is an Aquarian-identified intuitive, careworker, grief tender and retired physician rooted in the healing capacity of relational exchange and embodied connection with other humans, our more-than-human kin and the Unseen. Leah is devoted to befriending and tending to grief as a potent invitation towards aliveness, loving compassion and collective liberation. Drawing upon a deep well of life experience, years of holding space professionally and leaning into the lineages of Western community herbalism and politicised somatics (among others), Leah uses a broad skillset to toggle between companion and guide so that clients may feel held, seen and supported.
Among their many teachers, Leah credits plants and trees who model easeful reciprocity with the gift of their breath and whales who embody the ancestral wisdom of movement and wayfinding in deep waters.

In this episode, my guest is the very wise and devoted tarot student and reader Cole of Rosie Cole Reads.
Cole and I explored the symbolism and significance of the Hermit card, exploring its connection to the upcoming year 2025 and The Magician's Table. We also touched on the evolution of tarot symbolism, the importance of trust in tarot readings, and the concept of reverence and devotion in the context of tarot.
We discussed:
the transformation of the Hermit's tool from an hourglass to a lantern, and its potential connection to the Visconti deck and the concept of time comparing and contrasting the Magician and Hermit cards the Hermit's lantern as both a personal guide and a tool for sharing wisdom with others the idea of staying true to oneself while staying the course, and how this can be a form of stillness Cole shared her thoughts on the Round Table idea, comparing it to the Magician's Table and the Hermit's lantern, emphasizing the potential and possibility it represents the importance of trust in the process of tarot readings and the value of stepping away from the everyday to fully immerse oneself in the reading Cole’s process for choosing a new deck a reading with Cole where I felt a lot of resistance but trusted Cole's trust in the cards, which led to a powerful and emotional experience+++

Cole is a word weaver, tarot traveler, and magic maker. A Virgo Sun and Gemini Rising, she finds Mercury fascinating and confounding in blissfully unequal measure. In this solo episode, I share how I work with an archetype called The Failed Magician. I posit that we all have a Failed Magician at all times - unrelated to constructs like “failure." It’s a part of us that guards against engaging with and sharing our magic. It’s a part of us to keep an eye on and to cultivate a relationship with, so they don’t act out unconsciously and unchecked in the world.

Teagan West (they/she) is an Astrologer, Ayurvedic Practitioner, Poet + Dancer living on Haudenosaunee Land in Upstate NY. Their personal praxis exists at the intersection of Ritual, Ancestral Legacy, and Dance as an embodied liberation practice. Teagan's relationship to Astrology is deeply Ancestral in nature, rooted in an animist cosmology of relating to the celestial bodies as more-than-human kin. Their people come from Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Ireland + North America, and are a formative part of Teagan's own relationship to the sky as a mirror. Teagan weaves mythopoetic storytelling and ritual praxis into their relationship to Astrology, bridging these Ancient ways of knowing with our modern interpretations of the cosmos.
