  • Movie Geeks, summer is over and now we are headed back to fall and that only means one thing and thats fall tv is back. For the month of Sept. we are doing two films focused around tv. For this month's Rob's Rewind its an old favorite of mine starring the late John Ritter in "Stay Tuned". How does this movie look after so long? Does it still hold up when the art of television has changed so much in the 90s and will it stay on my shelf? Joining me to help me figure that out is classic tv lover Noah.

  • MovieGeeks, movie lovers, campers, we have reached the end of the tour. We have been through so many camp and other activities during the summer like summer jobs, school, along with band camp, detention Camp, fat camp, drama camp, camp for kids, camp for adults, magic camp, camp with horrible counselors, and camp with no supervision at all. Now we wrap up to talk about girl scouts. Ryan and Noah join me to review the classic (In my eyes) film Troop Beverly Hills. Relive the 80's, the fashion, and the brilliant comedic chops of Shelly Long. Find out which Girl Scout Cookie we favor, our memories of the cookie time song, and all the celebrity cameos we spotted in the film and much more.

From now until the end of August, there will be a new episode every week watching and reviewing different scenarios and locations of what and where you would be doing and going for the summer. This is a collaboration with the podcast Radical Retro Rewind Podcast. Ryan the host will be enjoying summer camp at Crystal Lake with Pamela, Jason, Tommy and many more every Friday from now until August. I will be popping in on some of those reviews myself. Summer Camp and Other Tour every Wednesday and Friday for the whole summer.

This Friday is a wrap up episode to talk about the entire franchise and the journey watching them all this summer. Ryan, David, and myself will pick our favorite moments, pick our favorite film of the franchise and much more.

In two week, we go back to normal as a bi-weekly podcast celebrating the return of new TV reviewing TV themed movies "Stay Tuned" & "Pleasentville"

  • With just two more camp visits to go, we had to the movie camp within a movie. Camp Bloodbath is our next destination as we review the film "The Final Girls" Brad from The Cinema Guys, and Suzy join me on this review as we are all three big fans of this film. We celebrate its many positive attributes to horror, comedy, and the meta genre. We dissect how important it was to have the drama aspect in the film as well as discuss why the movie is not seen or heard of by many, including horror fans. Enjoy this trip to Camp Bloodbath. This review will have spoilers.

  • It's August and we are still visiting camps from around the movie universe. It's time to take it to a dramatic level by visiting Camp Ovation (Broadway/Drama Camp) we are going to be observing the weirdos and outcast of the 2003 film Camp. This movie just happens to be very queer centric but you'll see an oscar nominees very first big screen appearance here. A lot of great singing and music and a complex story involving a guy a girl and another guy and sexuality.

Next week, is Camp Camp Blue Finch. You won't be singing KUM BA YA, You'll be singing KUM BA NOOOO.. A Horror Comedy that attempts to give Cabin in the Woods a run for their money.

  • This is a summer camp job like no other. 7 girls trying to make bank. They are in it for friendship and that paper. How do you handle two birds with one stone. You start a summer camp daycare center so you can make them dollar bills and hang out with each other all summer. Back in 95 there was work ethic and these girls known as The BSC knew exactly what needed to be done. We revisit the Baby-Sitters Club from 1995. Joining me is Ryan taking a break from Crystal Lake to review this with me as this is his first watch of the film.

  • Heading back to camp for my next destination and at Camp Arawak there is no picnic at the park. You have bees to worry about, sketchy staff members, and some campers who don't take shit from anyone. Sleepaway Camp is up next and with me to review the film is Drew from the Reel Feels Podcast. • Today is pt.1 of the crossover event with the Radical Retro Rewind Podcast hosted by Movie Geek & Proud alum Ryan Hunter. Both podcast will be doing movie reviews involving summer camp as well as other things and locations you would be doing during the summer. To kick it off, we are going to do a two-part movie review of two films with similar plots that involve summer camp. "It Takes Two" and "The Parent Trap (1998)". Today we review "It Takes Two" and on his podcast this Friday is "The Parent Trap". Then on Sat, we return with a small recap of the Battle of the Fiances as to which woman Clarice Kensington (It Takes Two) or Meredith Blake (The Parent Trap) is the meanest, nastiest, fiercest, cruelest one of all and which film do we prefer of the two.

  • Revisiting a film so embedded in my childhood is Richard Pryor's Bustin' Loose. On its 40th anniversary this year May 22nd. I decided it was time to review and share the love i have for this film when i was a kid. While most of you associate Pryor to different films, this one stood out to me the most and was played more in my home than his other films. Joining me is Ryan, who will be giving his hot take on the film as this is his first time viewing. How does this movie hold up after 40 yrs since its release?

  • In honor of Star Wars Day, I decided to give you the next episode a day early and because of this day you get 2 reviews in 1. Which Star Wars movies you ask? NONE! The franchise is not really my thing. However, on this day there are two films in my collection that i watch each year around this time an thats Spaceballs and Fanboys. Two Star Wars themed films that are so hilarious to me i figured why not review them for all of you. Enjoy this latest episode as i celebrate today in my own way. May The Fourth Be With You!

  • Mortal Kombat, did this movie get a glow up from 1995? Who is this Cole character? Should this be compared to the first one? Is this a skip it or see it reboot? All of this and more are discussed in this bonus episode review. Joining me is Nick to discuss the film and there will be a non-spoiler hot take on the film before spoilers are revealed so if you haven't seen it, you can still listen to a portion of this episode. We also do a Quarantine Quickie of Godzilla v. Kong. Question of the Month is back also.

  • For today's Movie Club, Guest star Suzy revisit the film Murder By Numbers starring Sandra Bullock, Ryan Gosling, and Michael "Underrated" Pitt. A film I don't remember enjoying back in the day. Plus, we are use to our Sandra Bullock being the happy heroine we are use to. Here is a role where she is not the nice person. Did that sway our review of the film?
