It wasn't a dominant win by any stretch, but NC State came away with an 81-72 win over Presbyterian to move to 2-0 on the season. Jayden Taylor and Ben Middlebrooks led the way with a combined 35 points and eight steals while Michael O'Connell tallied 10 points and eight assists.

NC State is looking to take its back-to-back wins in ACC play and stretch it to a winning streak on Saturday against Duke. The Wolfpack (5-4, 2-3 ACC) is hosting the Blue Devils (6-3, 2-3 ACC) on Senior Day inside Carter-Finley Stadium with both teams heading in different directions over the past two games.

NC State opened the 2024-25 season with a dominant 97-66 win over USC Upstate behind four players finishing with double figures in the win. Three returning players from the March run all played key roles in the win with Ben Middlebrooks, Breon Pass and Jayden Taylor all having productive nights.

NC State's offense was humming all day long with eight total touchdowns -- six came on six straight drives -- to spatter Stanford in a 59-28 win. The Wolfpack finished with a season-high 281 rushing yards with five touchdowns on the ground -- two apiece from Jordan Waters and Hollywood Smothers -- while CJ Bailey threw for a career-high three touchdowns on the day.
