In this week’s episode we discuss Games Two and Three of the Taini Jamison Cup. We celebrate England’s achievement of winning the series for the first time since 2021. The Roses made history by winning the first two games back to back which has never been done by either team in the history of Taini Jamison Cup. The Roses won Game Two and then the Ferns came back with a vengeance winning Game Three by five goals. We review the 2024 Diamonds Constellation Cup Squad, unpack the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball Top 15 Players and debrief on the 2025 Melbourne Mavericks training partners.

We saw Australia win the English Series against England and once again remind us all they are World Number One with a 13 goal win. The Roses responded by heading over to Auckland and beating the Silver Ferns by 1 goal. We saw the Roses debut Jess Shaw in Game 3 of the English Series and the Ferns debut Claire O’Brien and Parris Mason in the first game of the Taini Jamison Cup. We celebrate the announcement of the SSN Grand Final location and debrief on the European Youth World Cup Qualifiers.

The first round of finals series was definitely a doozy with both home-playing teams taking out comfortable victories in the major and minor semi finals. The Adelaide Thunderbirds showed no mercy in front of their home crowd, demolishing the Melbourne Vixens in the highest scoreline margin in SSN finals history, winning by 25 goals 68 to 43. In Perth, the West Coast Fever really channeled the energy of their home crowd, fighting their way to the preliminary final with a 10-goal win against the Sunshine Coast Lightning, 72 to 62. In netball news, Netball Australia announces their U21 Australian team and the GWS Giants hosted their awards night.

In this episode we discuss Round 14, the final round, of the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball Season. This round was do or die with battles for finals spots, finals placement and the wooden spoon. We saw the Melbourne Vixen’s secure 2nd spot on the ladder beating the Queensland Firebirds. We said goodbye for 2024 to the Melbourne Mavericks as they lost to West Coast Fever in front of another record breaking crowd in Perth. For the first time in SSN history, the GWS Giants are taking home the wooden spoon after their one point loss to the NSW Swifts. We ended the round with the Adelaide Thunderbirds taking the minor premiership by only just beating Sunshine Coast Lightning by 2 goals.

In this episode, we discuss Round 13 of the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball season which was also the second First Nations Round of the season. We saw the Melbourne Mavericks make their second win in a row, serving up their specialty of 1-goal wins in a nail-biting final minutes of a game against the GWS Giants, as the Lightning keep their finals contention alive with a win against the Queensland Firebirds. West Coast Fever avenged the last time they played the Melbourne Vixens, winning by one goal that could have been anyone’s game up until the final minute, while the Adelaide Thunderbirds shoot to the top of the ladder after their win against the NSW Swifts. We discuss the latest in Netball News, including that disgraceful letter to Donnell Wallam, Noeline Taurua’s support of NZ players coming to SSN, rumoured movements from the English Super Netball League to SSN and this round’s reserves matches.
