A l’image du bus magique (ref que seuls les millenials comprendront), je vous propose d’aller explorer un labyrinthe d'hormones, d'émotions et d'acrobaties neuronales au cœur du cerveau des adolescents.

    Dans cet épisode, nous allons regarder les changements qui se trament dans le cerveau lorsqu’on est adolescent, mais aussi bien sûr les changements hormonaux et comment ces deux dynamiques cérébrales et hormonales influencent nos comportements de prise de risque, nos relations sociales, notre sommeil, etc.

    Dans ce nouvel épisode, nous allons explorer différentes stratégies qui existent pour vous aider à gérer une crise d’angoisse. Beaucoup d’entre nous, à un moment ou à un autre de notre vie, expérimenterons une crise d’angoisse. Les crises d'angoisse, également appelées crises de panique, sont des épisodes soudains et intenses de peur et de malaise. Elles peuvent être déclenchées par différents facteurs, tels que le stress, un traumatisme ou même des facteurs biologiques comme la génétique. Il existe différentes stratégies permettant de calmer une crise d’angoisse et il est surtout important de tester différentes méthodes afin de voir celle qui VOUS correspond à vous. En plus de cela, il existe certaines méthodes ayant déjà fait l’objet d’études scientifiques et ayant fait leur preuve chez une grande majorité.

    il faut savoir que la science de la séduction est plus psychologique, sociologique ou anthropologique qu’elle n’est neuroscientifique. Mais en vérité, c’est pas très grave, ça m’intéresse tout autant. Donc j’ai retroussé mes manches et je me suis plongée dans la littérature concernant la science de la séduction. Même s'il y a toujours quelque chose de magique dans l'attirance entre deux personnes, la recherche tente depuis une vingtaine d'années de percer le mystère de la séduction. Que savons-nous aujourd’hui grâce aux sciences du comportement ? Existe-t-il des méthodes « scientifiquement validées » pour séduire ?

    L’empathie c’est la capacité à reconnaître et percevoir ce que l’autre ressent. L’empathie a une dimension affective, on entre en résonance avec les émotions d’autrui, et une dimension cognitive, on essaye de comprendre les états mentaux des autres, de comprendre leurs émotions et leurs pensées.     La douleur est un sujet difficile en neurosciences. Qu’est-ce que la douleur, à quoi sert-elle, comment la faire taire ? Ce sont des questions auxquelles on tente de répondre depuis déjà bien longtemps. Ce sujet, bien que trivial et basique de la condition humaine, est très complexe et on n’a pas encore toutes les réponses à nos questions. Il y a quelques années maintenant, les progrès dans les traitements contre la douleur étaient tellement lents et limités, que les chercheurs se sont mis à revoir carrément leurs approches. Je vais donc tenter dans cet épisode de vous partager ce qu’on sait aujourd’hui et les zones encore un peu sombres. On va rapidement voir comment la douleur fonctionne dans le cerveau, puis on parlera plus en détails des personnes qui ne ressentent pas la douleur, on se posera la question de pourquoi tout le monde ne ressent pas la même douleur et on abordera aussi le cas de la douleur chronique.

    Dans cet épisode, je vais vous parler des limites des neurosciences. Parce que oui, neurosapiens c’est avant tout le podcast dans lequel vous découvrez le fonctionnement de l’extraordinaire machine qu’est le cerveau, mais si les neurosciences nous ont permis d’apprendre énormément sur notre fonctionnement, c’est une discipline récente qui n’en est encore qu’à ses balbutiements (enfin sur l'échelle de temps des sciences quoi).

    Aujourd’hui, les neurosciences sont assez à la mode dans les médias et on nous les vend comme une méthode révolutionnaire pour comprendre notre fonctionnement : utiliser les neurosciences pour mieux dormir, pour être plus productif ou encore pour comprendre pourquoi Lucy se transforme en clé USB à la fin du film (je ne m’en remets toujours pas). Bref, on nous sert des neurosciences un peu à toutes les sauces. Dans cet épisode créé avec passion par Thaïs Marques, on vous fait un état des lieux des avancées en neurosciences : ce que l’on sait, mais surtout ce que l’on ne sait pas.

  • Dans cet épisode nous allons voir comment le sport impacte notre attention, notre concentration, notre mémoire, notre capacité d’apprentissage, nos émotions et notre gestion du stress. Nous rappelerons aussi que le sport n’est absolument pas un élan naturel pour le cerveau. Gros programme à l’horizon !

    J'aimerais aussi vous dire qu'à la différence de la grande majorité des épisodes publiés jusqu’à maintenant, ce que je vais vous dire aujourd’hui est au-delà du stade des hypothèses. On a réalisé tellement d’études sur l’impact du sport sur notre fonctionnement cérébral, qu’on en est aujourd’hui au stade de l’évidence. Donc aujourd’hui, c’est avec grand plaisir que je prends beaucoup de moins de pincettes pour vous partager les découvertes neuroscientifiques sur le sport !
