  • This week on the PAD Watchlist, Corey is joined by Alex and Dean from the Return Revenge Resurrection podcast to rank their favorite slasher sequels! The boys also discuss their dishonorable mentions as well. You know, the horrible entry in your favorite slasher franchise that almost derails the whole damn thing? Yea, that. Of course, those discussions tend to be the liveliest lol

We hope everyone enjoys Alex and Dean’s lists! Make sure to check out their show and follow them on Instagram and Letterboxd!

  • Demon Wind (1990) synopsis: “With the need to investigate the mysterious death of his grandparents, Cory and his friends assemble back to the old farm where it all began, sixty years earlier.”

Starring: Eric Larson, Francine Lapensée, Sherry Leigh, and Stephen Quadros
    Director: Charles Philip Moore

This week on Podcasting After Dark, Zak and Corey breakdown and review Demon Wind! Sure the movie is low-budget and pretty darn silly, but it has a lot of charm, the effects are great, and Dell (played by Bobby Johnston) is a goddamn beefcake! Demon Wind is the perfect movie to watch with friends while kicking back some beers and burning some joints! What more do you want from a video store cult classic?

A huge THANK YOU to Crystal for suggesting we review Demon Wind via our Patreon page! Her previews picks were Christmas Bloody Christmas, Deathstalker, My Bloody Valentine, Intruder, and The Monster Squad!

    Director: Brian Taylor

On this bonus episode of Podcasting After Dark, co-host Corey is joined by Diallo to review Hellboy: The Crooked Man, the latest entry in the Hellboy franchise! This mini-review isn’t very “mini” because the boys had a lot to say about Hellboy in general, comic books, and what happens when creatives are given too much freedom. Hope you enjoy the discussion!

Starring: Margot Kidder, Roddy McDowall, Michael Nouri, and Telly Savalas
    Director: Don Lusk

This week on Podcasting After Dark presents TV Obscura, Zak, Corey, and Diallo review GoBots: Battle of the Rock Lords! While this movie may not be a crowd-pleaser, the boys still have fun discussing it and going down all sorts of nostalgic rabbit holes. That being said, if you’re a fan of Battle of the Rock Lords then we apologize in advance for the amount of trash talking that happens in this episode lol

Starring: Brian O'Halloran, Jeff Anderson, Marilyn Ghigliotti, and Lisa Spoonauer
    Director: Kevin Smith

  • Where you know him from:  The Exorcist III (1990), Screamers (1995), and Stream (2024)

This month on Interviews After Dark we talk to actor, Charles Edwin Powell!

We've been trying to have Charles on the show for over three years now but he's a very busy screen actor, voice actor, husband, and father of twins so it's hard to lock him down. But we finally did it and it was well worth the wait! We talked to Charles about his work on The Exorcist III, Screamers, and Stream as well as his first foray into the world of horror conventions!

We hope everyone enjoys the interview and make sure you follow Charles Edwin Powell on Facebook and Instagram!

  • Ladyhawke (1985) synopsis: “The thief Gaston escapes the dungeon of medieval Aquila through the latrine. Soldiers are about to kill him when Navarre saves him. Navarre, traveling with his spirited hawk, plans to kill the bishop of Aquila with help from Gaston.”

Starring: Matthew Broderick, Rutger Hauer, John Wood, and Michelle Pfeiffer
    Director: Richard Donner

This week on Podcasting After Dark, Zak and Corey breakdown and review the romantic fantasy film, Ladyhawke! The boys both watched this on cable growing up in the 80s, but it hit differently for little Corey Gorey. See, he had a massive crush on “Isabeau,” played by Michelle Pfeiffer. So much so, in fact, that he learned at a young age what being in love really felt like. Don’t worry, you’ll hear all about it as the boys breakdown Ladyhawke (Tuah)!

Starring: Len Cariou, Larissa Laskin, Scott Klace, and Sarah McElligott
Director: Tom Kuntz and Mike Maguire

This week on Podcasting After Dark, Zak and Corey breakdown and review The Onion Movie! Filmed in 2003 but released in 2008, The Onion movie is based on the Onion news website and, just like site, it’s pretty damn hilarious! The boys try their best to convey just how funny the sketches are in the breakdown, but if you can find the film itself (either the DVD or streaming on Plex) make sure you check it out. You won’t be disappointed!

  • Dungeons & Dragons: Saturday Morning Adventures (2023) synopsis: “Long before the world turned upside down and new generations discovered D&D, six kids boarded a magical roller coaster and were transported to the Forgotten Realms!”

Creators: David M. Booher, Sam Maggs, and George Kambadais
    Publisher: IDW Publishing

This week on Podcasting After Dark presents TV Obscura, Zak, Corey, and Diallo review the comic book mini-series, Dungeons & Dragons: Saturday Morning Adventures by IDW! Since the boys haven’t covered the cartoon series from 1983 on TV Obscura before, this episode will be divided into two conversations: the first half being dedicated to the 80s cartoon and the second half will be the review of the comic. Take note, there will be spoilers for the Dungeons & Dragons: Saturday Morning Adventures comic book in this episode!

Starring: Matt Lattanzi, Caren Kaye, Kevin McCarthy, and Crispin Glover
    Director: George Bowers

This week on Podcasting After Dark, Zak and Corey breakdown and review My Tutor! A sleazy teen sex comedy that has some remarkably sweet moments. But that’s not why you watch My Tutor, you watch it for the healthy dose of nudity, and for Crispin Glover in his first theatrical role! You can tell he’s going to be a star, even with the limited screen time he gets in this movie.

Director: Jeremy Gillespie and Steven Kostanski

This week on Podcasting After Dark, Zak and Corey breakdown and review The Void! A low-budget cosmic horror movie from Astron-6 members, Jeremy Gillespie and Steven Kostanski! This one is Corey’s pick because it’s his birthday month, so he’ll be showrunning the episode.

  • The A-Team (2010) synopsis: “A group of Iraq War veterans look to clear their name with the U.S. Military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed.”

Starring: Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley, and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson
    Director: Joe Carnahan

This week on Podcasting After Dark, Zak and Corey breakdown and review the A-Team movie from 2010! Coming at the tail end of the 70s and 80s TV show remake boom of the 90s and early 2000s, The A-Team stands out as one of the better offerings Hollywood put forward. The action is solid and it maintains the same tone as the iconic show. The A-Team isn’t perfect, and the boys discuss where it misses the mark, but overall it’s infinitely better than it has any right to be!

Starring: Clare Wren, Stacy Haiduk, David Naughton, and Bruce Davison
    Director: Ernest Farino

This week on Podcasting After Dark, Zak and Corey breakdown and review Steel and Lace! Sure, it’s a straight-to-video sleazy sci-fi revenge thriller, but, for reasons the boys will discuss extensively, this movie is infinitely better than it has any right to be! From kills reminiscent of Mortal Kombat fatalities to multi-Tony winning actors, Steel and Lace gives the viewer a lot to enjoy.
