Having started by lifting only 20kg, she’s now hip thrusting 170kg, deadlifting 100kg, and is a great example of what’s possible when you go all in on strength training.   • I’m not going to bore you with another podcast on the benefits of sleep, and why you should be sleeping more. In a perfect world, we never use alarm clocks, sleep as much as we need, and go to bed early in a nice relaxed state.

    But if you’re listening to this, chances are you’re in the real world. One with pressures, a stressful job or business, young kids and let’s face it… a busy lifestyle. Just like the 4000 busy professionals my team and I at RNT Fitness have helped to lose 20-60+lbs, keep it off, and build healthier, fitter lives.

    Most people I know in this real world sleep less than they should be. And for most I know who don’t sleep enough, it’s not always because they’re bingeing on Netflix or mindlessly scrolling.

    If that is the case, then stop this podcast and fix that first. Instead, it’s because they’ve got a lot to do. Or they have young kids who wake up early. Or their business or career just requires a lot of their time. I saw this first hand growing up watching my mum build her business while looking after the family, waking up at 3-4 am daily because she needed those extra hours awake.

    For others, especially in the corporate world, staying late at work is seen as a necessity (even if they’re not being productive), and it’s completely out of their control as to when they can leave. Which is why the advice of ‘just go to sleep earlier’ isn’t always sensible.

    If this sounds like you, then you need to learn how to sleep faster and maximise the time you do spend on a pillow. Sleep is important, so if you want to improve your fitness and wellbeing on less than optimal sleep, the six strategies in this podcast may be worth trying.

  • Pooja was fairly active but didn’t like how she looked. Even though her diet was “healthy”, her weight went up and down.   • When Alka had to ask the flight attendant for a seat belt extension her first time going abroad after COVID, she was mortified. Her health issues like high blood pressure and high cholesterol were getting worse, along with an underactive thyroid she had developed after her pregnancy.

    The pressures of her hectic city job alongside parenting and caring for family members took its toll on both her mental and physical health. Alka knew she’d let things go too far and needed to make a change.

    But even after Alka began exercising in high intensity gym classes, she developed plantar fasciitis (foot pain while walking.) As a working mum, she needed a weight loss plan that would adapt to her vegetarian diet, which felt impossible to find.

    She felt at a loss of what to do. Weight loss felt completely out of reach in her circumstances. This was when she discovered RNT.

    The guidance and education from her program took out all of the guesswork of her journey. She focused on improving her health and strength through the tried and tested formula to achieve fantastic results.

    With RNT, Alka went from 127 kg to 67 kg! She learned how to eat well and maintain diligence to achieve great results. The new habits Alka’s created have set her up for a long and healthy life to make more memories with her son and family.

  • Welcome to Episode 400 of RNT Fitness Radio - what a cool milestone to reach. Whether it’s your 1st or your 400th episode with us, thank you for being here - your support really means the world. I’m back in London now after an amazing retreat we hosted on the East Coast of the US and damn, what a great few days! I want to give a big shout out to the RNTers who made it out there. We had an idea of how we thought the weekend would unravel…But it surpassed all our expectations! With it being Episode 400, I thought of no better way to mark the occasion than to recap the trip and dive into a few topics we covered whilst out there.

    The retreat was based in New Jersey, where we hiked a nature reserve before diving into the infamous Enter The Void workshop. 30 RNTers from around the US came together to experience something they’d never done before…The Void. This is the moment when you’re so dialled into a set during a workout you forget about everything. Your mind is blank. This state is why I love all forms of training. It’s my goal to “get there” each time. And in this workshop I wanted more of the RNTers to experience this. Once you have this down, your results in every aspect - mentally, physically, spiritually… just skyrocket. From the Void, we hosted a Live Group Coaching Session, which blended into dinner and a few drinks in the evening. Hearing stories, seeing breakthroughs, and witnessing the transformations is why we do what we do at RNT.

    Topics which came up a lot on the weekend included building a new identity, managing lifestyle demands, and more than anything… what it takes to create your perfect lifestyle solution. In this podcast we dive into each of these.

    Going on a transformation journey can be a lonely experience when you’re around friends and family who might not “get” what you do. One of the best things to come from the weekend was the idea of “normalising” a lifestyle where you put your health and fitness number 1. So now we’re busy planning one more workshop in London towards the tail end of the year before creating the events calendar for 2025.   • On this episode of RNT Fitness Radio I’m joined by Rima Patel, who comes on to share her incredible journey with us at RNT. After winning one of our unprecedented giveaways in 2022, she joined with the goal to get into the best shape of her life.

    Rima was raising two children after a divorce trying to balance work and family. She hadn’t felt good in her body after her two pregnancies but she didn’t feel like she had any time to focus on her health. She’d tried many “quick fix” diets and exercise programmes but none of them seemed to stick. Rima was insecure in the way that she looked and wanted a change that would stick for good.

    And after going all in on the RNT Method, she has found a way to do it all…The programme allowed her to balance time with her family, work and time to exercise in a way that would last.

    Her 12kg weight loss was just the tip of the iceberg in terms of her results. Now 20 months into her journey, Rima’s strength has gone through the roof!

  • This week on RNT Fitness Radio I’m joined by long-term RNTer Sameer Kotecha, who joins us to share his journey of initially losing 30kg with us in his first year at RNT, before going on to improve his physique AND keep it off in the four years since. Sameer’s journey is an excellent example of executing our Five Phase Method to perfection.   • After over 3700 body transformations in the last 7 years, here’s 9 things I’ve changed my mind about.

    A few weeks ago one of our members at RNT Fitness (have the logo pop up) asked me:

    “What have you changed your mind about since some of your earlier podcast episodes?”

    This got me thinking on a different time horizon to normal.

    I usually think of the mistakes and things I’ve changed my mind about from 10-15 years ago, but a 3-6 year timescale made this an interesting exercise.

    Especially when considering I started the podcast at the back end of 2017, and we’re now over 380 episodes deep.

  • Payal grew up underweight with poor eating habits. But in her mid-thirties, she suddenly shot up in weight with very little muscle gain. Despite her best efforts in gym classes, nothing seemed to give her the body she was looking for.

  • Today I have a very special guest - Mike Antoniades, the Founder and Performance & Rehabilitation Director of the Movement & Running School. In 2023 I started taking running more seriously but I quickly realised I had no idea how to actually run. So I was introduced to Mike’s team by a friend of mine who said it was the single best investment he’d made into his running career. After working with Mike’s team for 12 weeks, my entire running form transformed and later in 2024 I’m excited to see how it translates to my times.

    Mike is the founder and Performance & Rehabilitation Director of the Movement & Running School. Mike’s passion for Rehabilitation and Speed began a long time ago when as teenager he had a serious knee injury. After years of bad advice and inefficient rehabilitation, he began to study movement patterns and training methodologies from different sports. He specialised in movement re-patterning and rehabilitation after injury or surgery and focused on Speed training for athletes of different sports.

    He set-up the first Rehabilitation & Speed centre in the UK 1999 and his Clients include among others : athletes and teams from, The English Premiership, English Championship, German Bundesliga Rugby Union, Rugby league, Handball, Lacrosse, European Olympic Associations as well as Elite Track & Field athletes including World & Olympic Gold Medallists. Mike has been a coach for over 35 years and began coaching in 1982. He has worked in the UK, Europe and the USA. He has coached at professional and academy level and is a consultant for a number of professional Football clubs as well as track and field athletes in the UK and Europe.

    His Movement Re-Patterning methodology is not restricted to elite and up and coming athletes 50% of all the clients to the two London centres come for rehabilitation after surgery or injury.

    He has been featured on TV in the UK, Europe and in the USA and in a number of newspapers and magazines for his work with kids movement, running and elite athletes – : BBC News, Sky Sports, Runners World, Running Fitness, The Times, The Telegraph Daily Mirror, Daily Mail, and many fitness magazines. His training methodologies have also been highlighted in many countries.
