This week is my final episode here on Idobi Radio, I'm calling it a day to focus on more music, I may be back in the future when I have more time to do this show, but I'd like to thank everyone that's been on the ride, and thanks to Idobi for pushing me into doing a show for them in the first place. This week, I have a new project that I'm playing for called MERCY MUSIC, we're going on tour all over the place in 2024, and on this weeks episode, we play LIVE, even the mistakes are left in there (haha), I find out more about the band I'm about to be playing with, and we share stories from the road amongst other things. This week I have session drummer and friend Ryland Steen, he's been playing for the classic rock band America now for a while, and was also the drummer in Reel Big Fish, we talk about how he got a major record label deal at an early age with his band called Audiovent and how that led him to turning down playing full time with Maroon 5. We talk about what it's like being a hired and touring drummer and his story about how he got into music.

This week I have singer/songwriter Rev from the band The Drowns, he stared the punk band with my old middle school friend and drummer Jake Margolis (Madcap/Everclear) and they've been hitting it hard ever since. I learn Rev's story about how he came up in music and where his band is heading, and we exchange old road stories, as well as talk about their new album that just came out.

This week I have long time friend and fellow guitar player/drummer Brandon Davis from bands such as: Inspirit, The Fever 333, he's also been in bands Vanna, Lions Lions, Therefore I Am. He's no stranger to the Boston Hardcore music scene and I get to learn all about Brandon and his endeavors, we also talk about a skatepark that he owns, as well as how we met. We also touch up on the subject of me playing drums for Vanna in a middle of a tour when he had to leave.

This week I have friend and fellow drummer Chase Vernon, when I first met him my old band did shows with his old band Super Whatevr, and we've been friends ever since. Since that band dissolved, he's played for bands such as: Magic Whatever, Garzi, Royal & The Serpent, and now is currently playing drums for the band Games We Play.We talk about how he got his start, how he's continued to get the next gig, and what it's like being a hired drummer. We also share a rehearsal spot together, which I'm stoked about.

This week I have long time friend Eric Bootow from band Jughead's Revenge, he also plays for hardcore legendary SoCal band Fourth In Line, and Sederra. He's the go to bass guy in the OC for punk rock bands. I met him through Efrem Schulz of Death By Stereo and Eric was one of my first friends when I moved back to SoCal in 2003. We talk about my first time in a bar with him, and a bunch of other fun stories.

I commented on one of his posts and then we started talking, and then met him earlier this year in person for the first time at Welcome To Rockville when I was tour managing Badflower. I end up learning a lot about Greyson and how he became the online success that he is!

This week I have long time friend and tour manager Audrey Wray. I met her when I was in my old band The Bigger Lights, she would come on the road with us from time to time and help sell merch, and was just an all around good hang. I had her come by the studio when she had a little down time from tour managing a Drag Queen tour and for her to tell me how she got her start in the industry that led her to where she is today!

This week I have drummer and a good friend over 2 decades: Gary Foster. Gary was one of the first drummers I met when I was on the Warped Tour 2002(fresh out of high school) and I got to meet his bass player Ronnie Ficarro who would eventually go on to do 4 different projects with me in the coming years. We talk about how Gary got his start, how we met, what he's been able to accomplish in music and everything else in between. I'm so stoked that he and I are still active drummers after all these years.

This week I have singer/songwriter David McWane from Ska band "Big D & The Kids Table." We've met briefly on the Warped Tour, and I wanted to have him on my show because I started out as an early teenager in a Ska band, and I wanted to figure out how he was able to do it professionally all these years. We talk about how David got his start with music, all the way until today. We talk about all the tours and shows he has coming up and how much he enjoys being the opener.
