    27-year-old Terrance Williams and 24-year-old Felipe Santos disappeared under nearly identical circumstances just months apart. Both were last seen getting into the patrol car of Deputy Steve Calkins—and neither man was ever seen alive again.

  • Baltimore, Maryland –How does a young single mother go from raising her two children to being charged with their tragic murder? On August 24, 2021, a resident of the Coventry Road Apartments reported a foul odor coming from one of the adjoining apartments, when maintenance entered the apartment, what they would find would be both shocking and heartbreaking–inside the apartment were the decomposing bodies of 6-year-old Da’Neria and 8-year-old Davin Thomas — their mother, 28-year-old Jameria Hall was nowhere to be found.

  • Brooklyn, NY– Prince Joshua “PJ” Avitto, just six years old, was brutally stabbed to death in a Brooklyn elevator, while his best friend, seven-year-old Makayla Capers, fought desperately for her life. On June 1, 2014, the children were playing outside when they decided to take the elevator to the sixth floor to get an ICEE, but little did they know that they would come face to face with a monster.   • Ocala, Florida —Ajike “AJ” Owens was nothing short of amazing, she had a heart of gold that resonated with everyone she came into contact with. As a restaurant manager and a beloved single mother of four children- 12-year-old Issac, 10-year-old Israel, 7-year-old Africa and 3-year-old Titus. AJ was a loving mother who went out of her way to protect her children and to raise her children to be kind and respectful towards everyone.

    AJ and her children lived in a neighborhood that was plagued by a neighborhood bully– 58-year-old Susan Lorincz who lived next to an open field where the children would play.

    In the course of a year, Susan Lorincz made dozens of 911 calls complaining about the noise level and accusing the children of trespassing onto her property. Susan would often scream at the children, calling them racial slurs and other expletives.

    On June 2, 2023, tensions would boil over when Susan became so upset by the noise level of the children that she threw a rollerblade skate, striking one of the children in the foot. When one of the kids told his mother - AJ Owens, she confronted Susan at her home about the mistreatment of the children, what would happen next would put the controversial Florida Stand Your Ground Law at the center of national news as one suspect claimed self-defense.

  • Silver Spring, Maryland – 34-year-old Eric Somuah was living the American Dream, as the youngest of four children of immigrant parents from Ghana. Eric worked his way to the top, as one of the elite luxury car salesmen in Bethesda, Maryland.

    Eric was handsome, charming, and single. He was known to date several women at one time, and it was no secret that Eric was a ladies' man. Although Eric’s siblings tried to encourage him to settle down, Eric was honest about waiting for the right woman to come into his life.

    On June 5, 2012 - When Eric failed to show up to work, a wellness check was conducted at his apartment and police found Eric dead from an apparent gunshot wound. The investigation would go cold for over a year, until one crucial discovery led to a suspect who was hiding in plain sight.

  • Tampa, Florida –30-year-old Jermaine and Shirley Bass were high school sweethearts who met in 2009 when they were 17, the couple fell in love and soon after graduating they married and had two children, 8-year-old son Jermaine (JJ) and 5-year-old daughter Jaylah.

    On August 29, 2022, Shirley left the home around 6pm to attend a birthday dinner for her sister at Ruth Chris, while Jermaine stayed home with the kids. Shirley returns home around 10:30 that night to find that Jermaine had just put the kids to bed and Shirley went into their shared bedroom to give them a kiss goodnight. Shirley then went into her bathroom to get ready for bed, a few minutes later gunfire erupts.

    What would happen next would rock a quiet community to its core and would change the lives of two families forever.

  • Jacksonville, Florida - 13-year-old Prince Holland had dreams of becoming a wide receiver for his favorite football team - The Kansas City Chiefs. He idolized quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and Prince was super focused about his goals in life, he wanted to buy his mother a home and take care of her when he made it to the NFL one day. He was a bright and bubbly teenager who often mowed his neighbors' lawns for extra money, and he attended church with his family every Sunday.

    But, on December 3, 2022 - his life would come to a heartbreaking and tragic end, when Prince accepted a ride home from football tryouts that evening. Prince and three other teenagers (ranging in ages from 15-11) were riding in a red SUV driven by their football coach 21-year-old Jaylen Burrows when an unthinkable and senseless act of violence erupted that would leave a Jacksonville community horrified and mourning the loss of a young life gone too soon.

  • Piedmont, OK — On March 19, 2024, Piedmont Police responded to a report of a runaway child.

    The child had been missing for over 12 hours, although her foster mother 43-year-old Tina Ramirez reported her missing within an hour of when she was found. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the teenage girl hiding under a blanket behind an abandoned building. The officer reported that the young girl was emaciated, she was “skin and bones” and severely dehydrated.

    When officers questioned the young girl, they discovered the shocking details of abuse, neglect and starvation that took place right under everyone’s nose, and the trauma of multiple children living in a real-life “House of Horrors” at the hands of a sadistic foster mother.

  • Clayton County, GA – 62-year-old Kenneth Herring was a Husband, Father, and a loving Grandfather who took very good care of his family. But Kenneth’s life came to an abrupt and tragic end on May 17, 2019, when Kenneth came face-to-face with 21-year-old Hannah Payne. Kenneth was behind the wheel of his burgundy Dodge Dakota Truck when he began having a medical emergency and was going into diabetic shock.

    An eyewitness would report that Kenneth was disoriented and seemed confused, as a result of Kenneth’s medical emergency, he caused a minor fender bender, and as required by law, he remained at the scene of the accident. Kenneth waited for over 20 minutes for police to arrive, but he ended up leaving the scene to drive to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

    As Kenneth ran a red light on his way to the hospital, he would come face to face with Hannah Payne, a woman who was at the same intersection and witnessed the initial crash. When Kenneth ran the light leaving the scene, he cut Hannah Payne off in traffic. Although Hannah Payne was not involved in the crash, the police were already enroute to the scene. Hannah Payne pursued Kenneth assuming he was intoxicated and ordered him out of his vehicle at gunpoint, all while on the phone with 911, who ordered her NOT to pursue nor approach Mr. Herring.

    What would happen next would leave the community horrified and divided.

  • Columbus, GA – The Short Family was your average close knit family, summers consisted of cookouts, family vacations, and lazy weekends swimming in the family pool but all of that would change on the morning of January 4, 2016, at 8am police received a frantic 911 call from Robert Short who had returned home from work after working a night shift to find a gruesome scene –his 54-year old wife Gloria Short, their 17-year-old son Caleb Short, and their 10-year-old granddaughter Gianna “Gigi” Lindsey were bound and beaten to death. The home appeared to have been burglarized, and the couple's two vehicles were also missing.

  • CASE UPDATE! Tacoma, Washington, On January 23, 1999 - 2-year-old Teekah Lewis and nearly a dozen of her family members spent the event bowling at The New Frontier Lanes in Tacoma, Washington. Teekah was a few feet away from her mother playing a race car video game. When it was Theresa’s turn to bowl, she glanced over her shoulder to check on Teekah who was quietly placing coins into the arcade game, but when Theresa turned around mere seconds later, Teekah was nowhere to be found.

    Teekah Lewis’ disappearance would set into motion a 26-year fight for justice in finding out what happened to Teekah.

    Joining me in this week’s episode is Theresa Czapiewski (Teekah’s mother) as she details the events that happened the night Teekah disappeared, including the mishandling of her daughter’s case by Tacoma Police.

  • Washtenaw County, MI – On March 13, 2021, 32- year-old Henry Peoples Ross was on his way to meet up with a woman he had met on Facebook for a dinner date.
    Henry had been talking to this woman for several days prior to their scheduled date, but little did Henry know that the woman set him up to be ambushed and robbed. Henry Peoples Ross was the latest victim in an elaborate plot orchestrated by 18-year-old Shania Moore and 31-year-old Melvin Willis, Jr.

    The plot involved Shania entertaining men on dating and social media apps with the sole purpose of luring these men to be robbed. By the time that Henry realized that he was in danger, it was far too late.

  • Las Vegas, NV — On May 5, 2021, 2-year-old Amari Nicholson was reported missing by his mother Tayler Nicholson, who was out of town in Colorado caring for her mother who had surgery. Tayler left Amari in the care of her boyfriend, Terrell Rhodes for five days.

    Terrell claimed that a woman knocked on the door just before 6am at the Emerald Suites Hotel where the family were leaving at the time. The woman identified herself as Amari’s paternal Aunt, although Amari had been estranged from his father for over a year, Terrell claimed that the woman fled the hotel with Amari.

    The police put out an immediate Amber Alert for 2-year-old Amari and the community came out in droves to search for the toddler. Suspicion quickly turned to Amari’s father and his family, although there was a “no-contact” order in place due to past domestic violence incidents.

    As the days went on, Tayler and Terrell faced backlash from the public for their nonchalant reactions to Amari’s disappearance in a series of news conferences that they participated in and soon their stories began to unravel and two families began to point the finger at each other.

  • Cincinnati, Ohio— 29-year-old Nyteisha Lattimore was a certified nurse's assistant, and her only focus was being a devoted mother to her two young sons, 9-year-old Niko and 3-year-old Nylo Lattimore. Nyteisha kept in contact with her family on a daily basis through text messages and social media posts, but no one has seen nor heard from Nyteisha and 3-year-old Nylo since December 4, 2020.

    On December 12, 2020, a 911 call came into The Hamilton County Sherrif's Office from a security guard who was working at a construction site, when he stumbled across a large bag near The Purple People Bridge in Cincinnati.   • Cincinnati, OH—20-year-old Deasia Watkins was born into a troubled and dysfunctional environment from the very beginning of her life. Deasia’s mother and father struggled with mental health and substance abuse issues and the family often lived in squalor which caused Deasia’s development to stall to the point where she was nonverbal up until age 4.

    Job and Family Services were involved with the family several times. Deasia was subsequently removed from her mother’s care, by court order and placed with a family friend, at which time she started to show signs of improvement, but the damage had already been done.

    In 2015, Deasia gave birth to a baby girl - Jayniah, and during her first few weeks of life, Deasia had a psychotic episode and was subsequently admitted to a psychiatric hospital where she was diagnosed with postpartum psychosis, a condition that is often marked by hallucinations, delusions and impaired judgement. Deasia’s infant daughter, 3-month-old Jayniah was then placed in the care of Deasia’s Aunt, and Deasia was ordered to have no contact with the baby.

    On March 16, 2015, this case takes a horrific and tragic turn and is one of the worst cases of Maternal Filicide in The United States to date.

  • Maple Heights, OH– Labor Day Weekend is often a time for family barbeques, church picnics and cookouts to celebrate the official end of Summer. But on this particular Labor Day weekend, September 4, 2023, would turn into horror for two families.

    30-year-old Mercedes Carter was 7 months pregnant with her first child with husband 31-year-old Norbert “Trea” Carter. The couple were newly married, in love, and excited to welcome their first child together.

    Mercedes and Trae had arrived at Stafford Park that afternoon to drop off a stroller to her mother. Mercedes and her younger brother 29-year-old Jason Iverson had been in an ongoing dispute for some time, and a confrontation would ensue between Mercedes and her younger brother that would destroy the lives of two families forever.
