Hello Heroes!
We have A Very Special Episode of SFT for you this week. No not that kind, the series finale kind. This is our last episode, as adulthood has started demanding too much from us. But don’t think of it as a breakup, think of it as our funeral, that we get to stage ourselves because nobody’s dead. Oh yeah, also we talk about Set 4 because we hadn’t done the Triassic Triumph retrospective episode (retrospepisode) yet. It’s been a fun and exciting 20 months but all good things must come to an end. And one final shoutout to everyone we did this show for, be it from Reddit, Discord, Gmail, Youtube, Telegram, Periscope wherever. Taylor thought the deck was compatible with Headhunter as a payoff card, with dancing dudes at the low end and gargantuars at the high end. Our conclusions may surprise you! Or, they may not, since we realize pretty quickly that Potted Powerhouse is quite clunky. Nevertheless, we give this oft-ignored combo piece the deckbuilding treatment and have fun doing it!

The great rebalancing is upon us! The new balance patch has landed in PVZ Heroes, so it’s time to dive right in to the new meta. We’re diving in so deep, we recorded an entire second podcast this week! We recorded a Colossal Fossils retrospective on Wednesday, the night before the patch dropped.
When the patch arrived on Thursday, we decided to record again! Enjoy a bonus segment from future Mike, and future Taylor, on what we think the implications of the new patch will be. We talk about what we’ll be experimenting with, what we’re hoping we stop seeing, and where our question marks are.

Come turn and face the strange on another episode of Shroom for Two! This week, we’re overjoyed to report on another data-mined balance patch that hit the reddit last week. Tons of juicy meta-shaping details to be had, so don’t miss it!
We blow off Card of the Week this week (sorry, Overstuffed Zombie), to spend some extra time on the balance patch. Pretty much all the boogeymen are in the crosshairs this time: Briar Rose, Planet of the Grapes, Valkyrie, and the three best Berry creatures are all getting nerfed. A few big buffs as well: Neutron Imp, Bog of Enlightenment, Marine Bean, and a few others are all getting a pretty substantial leg up. What will happen? Who knows!
Finally, we give our most recent tournament reports. Taylor got knocked out by double-barreled dream-crusher Extra, and Mike advances one step further in the second chance bracket.

Welcome to a very competitive episode of Shroom for Two! This week, we’re starting with some follow-up from our Pecanolith OTK segment. We only covered the first half of listener Sushi’s post, so we round out the coverage of the non-Guardian choices for those decks.
Next, Mike pinch hits for Taylor during Card of the Week. It was Taylor’s turn to do the deck, but he disenchanted all of his Mayflowers, so he couldn’t build one! Mike showed up with a very interesting Bog of Enlightenment deck, and we think you’ll dig it!
Finally, we go over our first few rounds of the Reddit tournament. Taylor and Mike are both in what we affectionately call the Continue Bracket. We discuss what we played, what we should have played, and what our opponents brought to the table.
