One More Time (but not really the last) we bring you Ani-May, a celebration of Japanese animation, and this particular episode is dedicated to the memory of our doggo George.
We kick the themed month off with what we wanted to end on last year - that being the sci-fi musical collaboration between Daft Punk and Leiji Matsumoto, Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem.
Join us in our journey as we revisit what we've witnessed before, talk about other artists in the music industry, find out what is Paul's favourite track from the album, and point out the A.I. elephant in the room...

Summer nights are not quite here yet, but we do have a breezy episode all about the extremely popular musical movie Grease - and in this instance, it's Paul who's experiencing the film for the first time (albeit with a bit of a backstory).
Is he hopelessly devoted to it, or did he want to run away from it as fast as greased lightnin'? Tune in to find out his thoughts, as well as Sophie's history with the movie and whether it's still the one she wants (to keep watching)!

We all know of Marilyn Monroe, but WE have never seen her perform in a movie before. We remedy that in this episode, as we return to another Billy Wilder production and see another familiar face with Jack Lemmon (only this time in drag) with the crime comedy caper, Some Like It Hot!
Was it a sizzling sensational flick, or did the experience leave us feeling cold? Is there more to Marilyn than beauty, and how did the two male leads fare as females? Listen in to find out!

Our second cinema trip of the year has us venture off-world to bring you our review of Mickey 17, the sci-fi comedy from Parasite director Bong Joon Ho. Does the movie hold intergalactic importance, or was it sadly an expendable experience?
Morality, macarons, Pattinson's performance, and another Pokemon comparison are just some of the topics included in this discussion. But beware - spoilers ahead!

Rounding off our unintentional stay within the '80s, we bring you a review of a seemingly innocent children's animation, but under the surface is much darker than it seems... In this episode, Sophie is giving her initial thoughts on the Don Bluth Production, The Secret of NIMH!
Is the animation up to scratch for an ex-Dinsey employee? Will the Patreon theme of this month make a reoccurance? And did we perhaps sneak in a mini-review of Moana 2?? Listen in to find out!

We seem to be stuck in the '80s for the time being, as we both cast our eyes over the Cher and Nicolas Cage paired rom-com Moonstruck for the first time in this episode.
Did the film hit our eye like a big pizza pie? Or did it simply glisten with a lacklustre lustre? Listen in to hear of our own recent rom-com style Italian restaurant experience, what limb loss would be a real pain, and a few funny little reviews found on Letterboxd!

It's a strange world... but perhaps not so strange that Sophie hasn't seen a movie (but some TV episodes) from the late great David Lynch before. This episode we change that, as she gives her thoughts and feelings on the 1986 neo-noir thriller Blue Velvet.
Big robins, the correct way to pick up an ear, and a whole lotta talk on Twin Peaks is brought up in our discussion, and we hope you'll get a kick out of it as much a Frank Booth gets a kick from huffing gas!

The movie It's a Wonderful Life from Frank Capra is very dear to our hearts, so we thought we'd put it to a vote for the Patreons, and had them pick out another movie from the Director's catalogue for us to watch for the first time.
Naturally with the winner starring James Stewart and from the title alone, there is going to be some strong comparisons to Capra's masterpiece - but does it hit us in the feels? Can you get up and leave your job on a whim? And do you have to pay your taxes???

What do you get when you combine a natural disaster movie with a odd divorce subplot? You get the tornado tale that is 1996's Twister, starring Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt - and a funny first time watch for Sophie!
Tune in to hear our thoughts on what weaknesses the wind has, if the special effects blew us away, more effective methods of collecting storm data, and Sophie's idea for an alternative ending!

Can't quite believe we have a horror themed episode this early in the year, and it's not even Spooky Season! Yes, we ventured out to the cinema to witness the Robert Eggers interpretation of Nosferatu in the month of January (the film was released in 2024 for the USA - we had to wait 'til 2025).
Hear about why the episode almost didn't happen, Sophie questioning a lot of narrative decisions (including avian decapication), whether this needed a reimagining from the 1922 version - and much much more!

We give you our thoughts on Wallace and Gromit's first movie - The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Plus, as an added bonus, we also have a mini-review of Aardman's latest outing, Vengeance Most Fowl.
US and UK alterations, Wallace's desirability, justice for Gromit, and ultimately, The Simpsons are just some of the topics we bring up in this double feature episode. Happy new year, and we hope you enjoy!

The Patreons helped us pick what is the final review of 2024, with a seemingly charming looking Netflix exclusive, That Christmas. Penned by Richard Curtis, we were intrigued to see how this UK based film would play out, But was is the lesser of two evils from the other movie it was pitted against? Santa banter, Love Actually, how to build a snowman, and being lonely at Christmas are some of the topics we bring up in this festive finale, and we hope you enjoy listening in whilst having a mince pie and a little tipple. Merry Christmas to all, or however you celebrate the holidays! -------------------------------------------------------Christmas messages provided by @Chatsunamipod and @HypnoWellness1

The Muppets. It's a Wonderful Life. These two things should make for an amazing combination, right? Right??? As we go through this relatively short review, we contemplate on how well this concept works, why it feels much more edgy than other Muppets outings, why the cast of Scrubs were involved - and how many times can Muppets Christmas Carol be brought up??
