About Gina Rizzolo-Epstein:
Gina left Pitman for New York City in 1984 to go to the Fashion Institute Technology.
There she worked full time in the Fashion Industry while she went to school. She earned as Associates Degree In Fashion Merchandising and Buying. Her Fashion Career lasted 18 years. It was her good fortune to go the New School University in New York City to get her undergraduate degree in Film Studies. Gina graduated with honors in the Spring of 2004. She then entered and graduated from the Media Studies Graduate Program the following fall at the New School where she met Jesse.
Once they both graduated they embarked on the adventure of owning their documentary filmmaking company J&G Media. Gina and Jesse were married in 2008. In 2013, at age 50, Gina gave birth to their beautiful daughter Myah.
Gina volunteered for the National Alliance of Mental Illness as a speaker for NAMI's In Our Own Voice Program.
In 2017, she embarked on a career as a blogger and children’s book writer. The name of Gina's blog is Gtopia and it encompasses her life in Costa Rica, being a mother, wife and advocate for others. As Gina's hero Carrie Fisher put it, we have to go out and be heroes for those who can’t.
