Welcome to our ninth episode of our third season! Featuring two of our friends, we are discussing the recent Oscar nominated film, Nimona! What seemed to be a project lost in the Disney monopoly (RIP, Blue Sky Studios) came into fruition in other places and became a found family, anti-government, and queer story that many people—especially for the ones who have ever felt rejected from society—will remember. And above all, a queer story that will pave the way for more. Let us know your thoughts on the film in the comments below!

Welcome to our eighth episode of our third season! Featuring two of our friends, we talk about everything Scott Pilgrim, in relation to the first ever Scott Pilgrim anime, just released in late November 2023. What the fandom thought as a retelling of Scott’s Precious Little Life, we were hit with something totally different and we LOVED it! It was an alternate timeline that centered on Ramona’s perspective and how she heals the hearts (most of them) that she broke with the seven evil exes. Let us know in the comments about your thoughts! Did you like that Scott literally took off? What did you think of the expansion of all the different side characters? Does bread still make you fat? Are you on Team Todd or Team Mobile? Who's your evil ex bias? Thanks for watching!

Welcome to our seventh episode of our third season! Different from our usual format, we’re giving you a fun but educated lecture on creating characters of color from a writing and drawing standpoint in animation. Animation is no stranger to POC-centered stories, however, more work needs to be done in order to create and improve on authentic narratives for all marginalized communities. This ever evolving discussion on representation, specifically race and culture, in animation cannot be spoken upon without the tools to start off with, so think of it as a guide! Let us know in the comments about your thoughts and if you have any questions! Thanks for watching! Below are some resources that we suggest you should look through:

  • Surprise! And happy new year! We have TWO gifts for you to start the new year—introducing "12:24 Minutes"! Mini short episodes that were recorded by ourselves this past fall when we were busy with the college semester (more will be explained in both episodes), aka our Korra S2 era. Consider these as Episode 1.5 before the next ones now that we have a set plan for season 3. Will we continue Minutes from time to time? Maybe!

In this mini episode of 12:24 Minutes, Kait discusses her thoughts about her first watch of Studio Ghibli’s “My Neighbor Totoro”. And now she wants a Totoro. We hope you enjoy both mini episodes of reviewing our respective movies that we’ve recently seen!

Fear not as we still have a plan for the rest of Season 3. Stay tuned.

  • After a year-long hiatus, we have RETURNED for a third season! Y’all didn’t expect such a comeback, huh? Well, for starters, we’re starting this premiere with a serious note in regards to recent cartoon and entertainment news about the merger between Warner Media and Discovery, causing the deletion of many shows and movies, including many animated shows and upcoming projects from CN—and we couldn’t stay silent on this. As this news is ongoing, we hope this will bring light to the situation as well as we hope this situation turns out for the better. In the meantime, please support creators and artists at this time.

New episodes will be coming out on Sundays! Stay tuned.
