  • Does it seem like Hollywood, film, and television always seem to have a knack for predicting the future? In fact, quite a few pieces of technology that we use in our daily lives originated in Hollywood-produced films. This week, Nick is once again joined by his trusty producer and best friend, Brett Brooks, to chat about Hollywood’s tech predictions and what they got right…and wrong. Nick and Brett dive into some of the most well-known Sci-Fi films and television shows including Back To The Future II, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Star Trek, The Terminator, and Minority Report. They even talk about how The Cable Guy and Jim Carrey accurately predicted life in 2021, and how Enemy of The State confirmed everything we already suspected about government surveillance tech.

  • Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, oh my! That’s right. This week, Nick and Brett dive into cryptocurrency and try and figure out what the heck is going on and why crypto hype seems to be taking the world by storm. Nick explains how Blockchain (the technology behind Bitcoin) works and why it is one of the most important pieces of emerging technology in the 21st century. Nick and Brett also chat about Bitcoin and look at some of the most popular Altcoins available today. Nick and Brett also go on a lengthy tangent about fiat currency, supply and demand, and why ultimately land will forever be the most valuable asset (hint: YOU CAN’T MAKE ANYMORE OF IT).

Unfortunately, Nick and Brett were not able to cover NFTs in this episode. However, we will be dedicating an episode just to NFTs in the near future (there is a lot to unpack here, and we want to make sure we do it justice).
