  • There is so much that goes unspoken when caring for a child with an illness or disability.

So many ā€œyeah good, thanksā€ responses when the truth is to exhausting to even mutter.

Erinā€™s daughter Luella is a beautiful 2.5yr old little girl with the most mesmerising eyes. She suffers with uncontrollable epilepsy that consumes her life, and her families life.

This conversation is based around the terrifying statistic that children on average are being exposed to pornography between 8-10 years old. It is an important one for parents of all age children but specifically those of primary aged children. It is also full of simple and practical tips to minimise risks of the internet.

  • Colours and clothes are for everyone. Scott Stuart is a best selling Children's book author, but he is firstly Dad to 8yr old Colin. An 8yr old who loves Queen Elsa, to paint his nails and to twirl in a dress. He reminds me a lot of my son who, for as long as I can remember, loves things that society yells are not for boys; pink, princess costumes, flamingos, things society tells us boys arenā€™t allowed to enjoy.

Scott is paving the way for change. He is a leading voice on fully accepting and empowering our children, exactly as they are.

This episode talks on redefining masculinity, discussing what it means to be a man and crushing gender stereotypes.

  • This episode is a solo episode on our families childhood anxiety journey with Finn.

At 3yrs old, we just thought he was really hard work. I had no idea that he was struggling with anxiety, had no idea thatā€™s why he had outbursts, horrible separations from me and would cry in anticipation of activities such as swimming lessons. But when you know, you know. And I hope that sharing our experience and the tools we implemented will help other families support their little ones with anxiety, separation anxiety (daycare/ school drop offs) or big emotions.

  • We live in a world that is constantly telling women, we can have it all. The career, the kids, the house, the relationship; but a lot of us are left wondering- how?

I know I often feel like Iā€™m doing all of the things, but none of them well. When one aspect of my life is succeeding, Iā€™ve dropped the ball in other areas. When my career is blooming, Iā€™m not as present with my kids; when Iā€™m really in tune with my kids, Iā€™m touched out and distant with my husband.

How can we have it all? And what are the tolls on women to have and to do it all?

Low libido, irregular menstrual cycles, headaches, fatigue, turning into a rage mum- are these things we can fix by having conversations about the tolls on modern mothers?

Meet Katie, weā€™ve been friends since we were little, and we are so aligned in our passion to help women finding the calm in the chaos and the joy in the everyday. Katie is a nutritionist, naturopath and a womens mentor, helping women to uncover their optimum health and emotional freedom.

Today we break down and offer advice and tips around:

Rage mum moments - how to cope with the overwhelm, and why you need to show yourself compassion. Disconnected relationships - how to reclaim the joy and pleasure in your relationship. Lost identities - feeling like a shell of the woman you once were? You arenā€™t alone.

  • Experts are telling us we are in Child Sexual Abuse epidemic in Australia. None of us want to believe that someone close to us, or our child would ever sexually abuse them, but the statistics tell us that abusers are generally people who are trusted by the childā€™s family and who are given access to the child.

In this episode I'm joined by Kayelene Kerr, a former police officer with 24 years experience in law enforcement investigating sexual crimes. Kayelene is highly experience, educated and is recognised as one of Western Australiaā€™s most experienced providers of Child Protection workshops.

  • What do you think of when you hear the terms ā€˜gentle parentingā€™ or ā€˜conscious parentingā€™? That it is just a bunch of parents too scared to say ā€œnoā€ to their child, and letting their kids do what they want, whenever they want, regardless of consequence?

In this episode, I wanted to give you my thoughts behind conscious and gentle parenting. These opinions are my own, and Iā€™m sure they differ from many who follow a similar parenting approach, however I receive countless messages across my social media daily centred around sibling rivalry, tantrums and discipline. How do I actually discipline my three boys, not just theories behind why I do what I do, but what do I actually do in the moment, and how do I handle their rough play, fighting and emotions.

Weā€™ve all had the nights that we look at our sleeping child and think, ā€œI wasnā€™t the parent I wanted to be todayā€, and thatā€™s ok. We arenā€™t supposed to be perfect. Our kids donā€™t need perfect parents. We are all learning, all improving and we are here to do the work.

I hope some of these thoughts and techniques help you return some calm to the chaos.
