Burden of the Sky is an Alternative Metal band hailing from Bloomington, IL. Formed in 2012 by Josh Appel and the late Brad Shaw, the band has built itself as one of the most well-known bands in the Midwest. Led by Lead Singer Scottie James and Guitarist Josh Appel, the band has performed across the Midwest and beyond with many of todayâs hottest Active Rock bands. With a lineup rounded out by Drummer Rick Streeter, Bassist Dustin Tritsch, Guitarist and Backing Vocalist Austin Smith, and Keyboardist Mike Mahoney, âBOTSâ regularly leaves fans begging for more once they leave the stage.
Having hit the stage with acts such as Sevendust, A Day To Remember, I Prevail, Buckcherry, Asking Alexandria and more, the band continues to show they belong on the big stage. Their debut album, âCinis Ad Cinisâ, featured the single âSame Old Pageâ, which has amassed millions of streams since its 2017 release. Sophomore album âSine Timoreâ was led by âSirensâ, which was featured on many top Spotify playlists. Most recently, the band released a cover of Ellie Gouldingâs âLightsâ, as well as original single âWhiteoutâ, which was featured on Apple Musicâs âBreaking Hard Rockâ playlist. 2022 will bring multiple single releases that were produced and co-written with the likes Morgan Rose (Sevendust) and Ricky Armellino (Ice Nine Kills, Hawk).

"Trampled Under" is the foundational track upon which their album 1973 that has been solidly built.

2020 was a hard year for all of us and The Reed Effect has definitely felt that pain. Chris Reed, bassist, vocalist, bandmate, friend, and brother tragically took his own life on October 10th, 2020, just as the new music was about to be released. Being very close, Chris's death hit Kirk hard. But Kirk feels it is important to let the world hear this music - not just as a tribute to Chris and his legacy, but as a celebration of their collaboration and brotherly love.

Australian alternative bright lights Yours Truly have announced their brand new EP is this what i look like? which will be coming out July 15th, 2022 via UNFD. The band have also released a new song and video âHallucinateâ which features Josh Franceschi of You Me At Six. This will be the first full release from the band since their huge debut Self Care back in 2020, and also features a guest spot from DRâŹW ÂĽORK from Stray From the Path.
Speaking about the new single Mikaila Delgado explains ââHallucinateâ is an anxiety attack turned into music, detailing how it takes over your body so totally that it feels as if you're under the influence of something. I've struggled badly with anxiety and it's debilitating every day to be at war with your own thoughts. It's one of the darkest songs we've ever written but I found a lot of power in pulling out the chaos of how anxiety feels and sounds to me and putting it in a song.â

This brilliant new EP marks the start of a new chapter for Yours Truly, inspired by the music they are all collectively listening to now (Bring Me The Horizon, The 1975, Bloc Party, Head Automatica), the seven tracks see the band scatter in every direction possible. Thereâs the electro-thrash of âLights Onâ, the aching alt-rock swagger of recent single âWalk Over My Graveâ and the fearless pop stomp of âIf Youâre Drowning (Iâll Learn How To Hold My Breath)â. Though actually, this new EP was never meant to be a bold step forward for the group, and was originally planned as a three-track companion to their debut album Self-Care, called Self-Sabotage. The EP was meant to tackle something other than the âsunshine and butterfliesâ of their debut album, dig deeper, be more true and reflective of the band now. âWe spent that whole album telling people everything was going to be alright but the world had clearly taken a turn. Over the past few years, self care has been incredibly difficult,â explains Delgado. âWe wanted to explore 'that'.â
is this what i look like? stays true to that goal, but once they got into the studio with their âanything goesâ attitude, they realized these songs âfelt like a different universe entirely.â Rather than running scared or trying to dial it back, the band decided to jump in, accept these new challenges and make themselves at home. Itâs a bold move for a band who, in it for the long haul, wanted to just gradually push things forward on every record. However two years without touring and without being able to get in the practice space together has changed that patient mindset. âNow we just want to write the songs we want to write. Letâs not be afraid. Letâs just be the best band we possibly can.â

Breaking In A Sequence is based out of Huntington Beach, California and features drummer David Silveria, bassist Chris Dorame, guitarists Joe Taback and Mike Martin. The band formed after a worldwide vocalist search led them to recruit Rich Nguyen. The bandâs diverse musicality is backed by Silveriaâs signature groove and neatly wrapped together by captivating vocal melodies.
The band's debut singles "Pity" and "Change Your Mind", released on January 4, 2019, were met with tremendous fanfare. "Pity", the edgier track of the two, has helped grow the band's following exponentially in both the U.S. and abroad. "Change Your Mind", showcases the band's softer, melodic side. The two singles were released as a SIDE A/B as a throwback to the 80's and 90's single releases. Awake At Last returned with a new single "Bloodline" on April 29th. Produced by Erik Ron (Godsmack, Black Veil Brides, I Prevail), the hard-hitting track contains plenty of angst at the current state of the world. âBloodline is written from a perspective of frustration, and a reluctance to accept the current state we all live in. The song questions the media, and how during such a dark time people seemed to be more divided than ever, rather than come together. It asks the question of whether or not we can learn from history, or if we are doomed to repeat it. A Sympathetic Antipathy is the culmination of a few years of musical collaboration. The project was produced & co-written by Morgan Rose along with Leonard Cerzosie Jr., Corey Lowery, and Jim Taylor. In its various stages of recording, engineering talents include Jose Urquiza, James "Fluff" Harley, and Mike Ferretti. The initial inspiration for the EP was the passing of Lenny's mother after years of battling ALS. Tracks like "Miracle" were written about that struggle. Rose & Cerzosie have a history of writing & recording together and included a remastered version of a song they wrote with The Infinite Staircase in 2013 called "No Amends". Other musicians featured on the EP include Chris Caffrey of Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Justin Taylor of Alborn.
Lenne has plans to play in support of their new EP throughout 2022. The current band line up consists of heavy hitting, Maryland musicians Mike Slaski, Rob Landon, and Stephen Hybdzinski; alongside Evan Crider ,Taylor from PA and Cerzosie from NY.
"This was originally supposed to just be a session in Atlanta with Morgan & Corey. The plan was to do a song in honor of my mom. We ended up having such cool, sometimes borderline morbid chemistry. Funny fact? The original song that started this whole thing didn't even make the EP. We went along this darker, heavier path while still maintaining all the melodies we initially created" says Leonard Cerzosie Jr.

Orange County's Bleed the Sky have announced that their new vocalist is Rudy Flores. The band released their brand new single "Rot in Flesh" along with an accompanying music video.
"The lyrics of 'Rot in Flesh' represent the choice to overcome negativity from one's own toxic thoughts and others trying to bring you down. Sonically, this song hints at Bleed the Sky's new direction and what people can expect from our upcoming releases. This is just the beginning. Formed in 2003, California based metal band Bleed The Sky are back with a new single as well as a new frontman. Following two well received albums released on Nuclear Blast Records, Paradigm in Entropy (2005) and Murder the Dance (2008), the band once again redefined who they are with the Art Is War Records release This Way Lies Madness (2020) and the single The Devil Will See You Now (2020). The lineup consists of Austin DâAmond (drums), Wayne Miller (guitars), Kevin Garcia (guitars) and David Culbert (bass guitar). Now joined by Rudy Flores (vocals). Bleed The Sky returns with the same intensity that is familiar to fans of their previous albums, as well as a new brutality that they are excited to share with the metal community.

Lilith Czar is more than music. Her songs - like "King", "Bad Love", and "100 Little Deaths". â are anthems. As much as Lilith Czar's music is perfectly suited for modern rock radio, it's simultaneously timeless. "I know who I am now, completely,â the singer declares. âIâve found my purpose, creating art to inspire others to stand up for what they believe, to fight for their dreams, and to never give up.â She summarizes the Lilith Czar origin story like this: âWhen you find yourself beaten down by the world, in those times you can either let it destroy you or let it create you.â

Hailing from Baton Rouge, LA, Hard Rock/Metal outfit Ventruss are on a mission to spread their infectious sound to the entire world. Formed in 2012, the line up consists of Ben Jewell on vocals, Shawn Saizan & Jesse Newman on guitar, Jake Chenevert on bass, and BJ Davidson on drums. For fans of Avenged Sevenfold, All That Remains, and Trivium, Ventruss seems like the perfect fit for you. In early 2014, Ventruss hit the studio with David Troia (Evanescence, Down, Godsmack) to begin recording their 7 track EP entitled âCome Aliveâ which was released December 26, 2014. Their first single, âLostâ has gotten a significant amount of airtime on Louisiana radio stations such as Planet Radio 105.1 out in Lafayette, and the now-defunct Rock 93.7, also in Lafayette. Throughout their career, Ventruss has played several shows throughout the Southern United States rocking big venues such as the House of Blues in downtown New Orleans, and sharing the stage with national and international touring artists such as Kadavar (Germany), Mothership, Silent Planet, As Artifacts, In Her Own Words, Framing Hanley, War of Ages, 12 Stones, Texas Hippie Coalition, Otherwise, 3 Pill Morning, Thousand Foot Krutch, Cilver, Adelitas Way, Bad Seed Rising, Islander, Gemini Syndrome, To Speak of Wolves, Hellyeah, Badflower, Red Sun Rising, Pop Evil, Starset, Through Fire, All That Remains, Child Bite, King Parrot, Superjoint, Dayshell, Ghost Town, Slaves and much more. April 14, 2022 â Brisbane, AUS â Thereâs no doubt that adored pop-punk rockers Waxflower have been making a huge impact in the lead up to their sophomore EP The Sound Of What Went Wrong- out Friday April 29th via Rude Records - with the band today releasing the final taste of what is to come with yearning new single âMisaligned Loveâ.
Featuring the enthralling vocals of indie pop / rock songstress Sydney Sprague, âMisaligned Loveâ is about a love connection that can never quite come to fruition, although the stars have certainly aligned for the collaboration between Waxflower and Miss Sprague, and weâre so grateful for it!
âHaving the wonderful Sydney Sprague feature on this track was an incredible honour & she really helped to elevate âMisaligned Loveâ to a place that we couldnât, without her,â explains drummer Daniel Seymour.
