  • Hey Friends~

    As Summer approaches,

Some of us plan ahead and we get our kids into all kinds of activities. Some of us plan ahead and we think about the things that we really want to do in summer. And some of us don’t plan at all and suddenly summer takes us by the tail and summer is gone!

You don’t want to loose summer. No. You have goals for your child, for yourself, and for your family. You want growth to continue in many areas of life.

Today, we build on episode 131, where we talked about starting to plan your summer adventures and three tips to prepare for success. Today is STEP 2 - making sure that the plan aligns with what really feels good to you. And what matches your priorities for yourself, your family, and of course, your child.

  • Hey Friends~

Your Feelings are a message from your body. It’s the same for your kids.

How do you attune to your child’s feelings - instead of telling them not to feel as they do?

Do quickly tell your child how to behave? (“Don’t worry.” “Settle down.” or “You don’t need to feel that way.”) This kind of response backfires in relationships

    Or

Do you reflect back to them how they are feeling? This is not an easy skill. However, it is a skill that is learnable!

  • Hey Friends~

How often do you spend quality time in the same room with your whole family? And really, how much of that time is actually spent in doing an activity together?

Indeed, the demands of work, school, and the presence of technological distractions can often hinder the quality time spent with family.

In this episode, Coach Ambereen provides insights into her mission to transform the world by strengthening family unity. She focuses on creating genuine relational bonds centered around acceptance, gratitude, and shared value. Ambereen offers practical advice on improving family communications, nurturing connections, and overcoming common miscommunications.

Can we learn to foster better family connections through improved productivity, rather than busyness and distractions? Can we cultivate shared values of gratitude and acceptance? She shows us how to ground oneself, practice mindfulness, manage energy, and teach children to meditate.

Lastly, she emphasizes the importance of understanding that life is by design, encouraging individuals to make wise choices, and stressing we all have control over our lives.

    Always cheering you on!

ABOUT THE GUEST: Ambereen Hameed, is a woman on a mission to transform the world by unifying families. Recognizing this unit is the center of our lives, yet it is one of the first relationships we neglect. This in turns makes us feel guilty and distant from those whose lives we impact regularly. Through coaching, my mission is to “to create an irreplaceable and authentic bond centered around acceptance, gratitude and shared value” so families connect through a whole new frequency.

Sometimes our children are quite articulate in what they say they want, but when we consider the meaning of what they say they want, we wonder,

“What? What are you talking about?” Their behavior doesn’t make logical sense, while their words do.

If this has happened to you, you will enjoy this story in today’s episode. So grab your cup of coffee and sit down for a little laugh!
