After the year 2020, I think most of us can agree that we were tested in every way. This episode was the best way I could imagine starting off Season 2, with strong black women voices who wrote about their pain of not only 2020, but of being a black woman in this time...and yet, no matter the violence, the racism, or the simple and evil fact that society would rather we not be here...Despite all of these things, we as black women still remain. We are still strong, and for those of us that have been blessed to have made it, we are pursuing our lives not just to live, but to thrive!
Today's feature is singer/songwriter Chewii, discussing her EP "Black Skin Lullaby" and her latest single "Dance Through the Pain". It is available everywhere you listen to music!

On this last Feature Friday Episode I interview Entrepreneur/Author/ Single Mother and Poet Natalie Johnson discussing her book titled "Walking In Her Shoes" which is a beautiful and brilliant anthology of stories from mothers from various backgrounds! Natalie states "the stories in this book unapologetically return humanity to Motherhood, re-introduces you to the woman behind the title, and empowers women to take control of their own lives. There is nothing more powerful than a woman that acknowledges her truth, owns her story and walks in her own shoes... especially a mother!" Her book is available to purchase on Amazon!
So join us in this last Feature Friday episode of Season 1!
And always remember: You are Loved. You are Important. And Your story is worth being told.
