This episode picks up with our review of 'Hypothetical'... and it all goes off the rails from that point! :)

New album from Richard Kruspe and Emigrate can only mean one thing... EXTRA LONG ALBUM REVIEW EPISODE from us!
This is the first of a 2 part episode with a special guest commentator. We go through every song on the album and discuss them. As always, our chat ranges far including: space, Bowie references (gratuitous and legit), sex (of course...and for once it isn't Ginger's fault!), the meanings of life and the pursuit of happiness... with a fair bit of silliness thrown in for good measure.
So grab a snack and a glass of something delicious and settle in for the crazy!

We were SOOOO excited to do this video analysis, because the video imagery really took us for a mental ride on an emotional roller coaster. As always, we had LOTS of thoughts and feelings related to the video and imagery -- and absolutely had to unpack the concept of the ephemeral nature of time, dealing with one's past, present and future...and just what is the deal with the man in the hat.
It's all discussed here! Including: More discussion of the editing and visuals, Richard's spikey nails (which fascinate Ginger more than is probably healthy), Vampire!Reesh vibes, and multiple theories on temporal shifting and time travel.
Grab your fav time travel device and companion and join us!

The pics posted below are mentioned in the podcast and included here for anyone who wants to see what we were talking about! :)

So it seems our favourite guitarist decided to gift his fandom with a music video for I'm Still Alive! Since he took the trouble to drop such a delicious morsel in our laps without much warning, it's only fair that we drop everything to dig into the lyrics and analyze the video in a special TWO PART, mega episode!
In this part you will find: shoutouts to Terry Matlin & David Gesselbauer... the two of us falling down multiple lyrical rabbit holes... some religious and spiritual theoretical posturing... and yes, for those of you who have been filling my inbox with questions about sexual innuendo -- we discuss those too! Fasten your seat belts kiddies -- this ride is about to get bumpy as we discuss the intricacies of life and the fun of dealing with one's past, present and future.

This episode unpacks all of the imagery from the fantastic new Emigrate video for You Can't Run Away! As always we cover LOTS of topics, but this video has soooo much to talk about. While it appears to have a bunch of unrelated images, we have found what we think is a really great linkage between all of the images AND the theme of the song (talking someone through a mental health crisis).
Note: this episode includes mentions of suicide and mental health crisis. If this may trigger you negatively, listener discretion is advised.
TRANSCRIPTS AVAILABLE FOR NON-ENGLISH SPEAKERS (or anyone else who wants a transcript.) Email [email protected] for a transcript copy! :) We are working on a website for transcripts as well.

This time on the podcast, we’ve done a two-part analysis on the lyrics of and music video for the new Emigrate song -- “You Can’t Run Away.”
Angel drew an inspiration from her college psychology classes that wraps all the seemingly unrelated imagery up in a nice little Freudian bow, Ginger pulled from her literary background, we largely agree, and yet still manage to…bicker like an old married couple?
(Note: These episodes contain potentially triggering, discussion of mental illness/depression/suicide. Listener discretion advised.)

This week we deviate from our planned episode to drop into our comfort zone and talk about Hide & Seek from Emigrate.
This episode includes our usual level of over-analysis, as well as Ginger geeking out about performing fandom and theories of fandom and social media... then Angel goes on a rant about fans stalking performers for photos. So basically, in amongst some hardcore analysis, we go off in the usual way.
-
Here's part 2 of our special double-return episode. This episode features a range topics including: Flake's podcast, the many adventures of Till during 'lockdown', and various bits and pieces about Richard and Christoph. So you know... the usual rambling and bickering. Come along on our road trip!
-
Listen in as we get lost while Ginger is looking for Dick Street (no joke...that is the name), and hear a behind-the-scenes view of just how ridiculous we are when we are together, without 'real' adult supervision!
-
Wir sind wieder da! We're back...and since things are moving in the Rammstein fandom, so are we! This is the first part of our 'Pandemic Return' episode featuring a wild ride through a bunch of Rammstein topics including: The Tour Postponement (not like it was a surprise), Emigrate, Richard's 'new' Facebook, social media and the Rammstein fandom in general, and a bunch of other ridiculousness. So, come along for the ride -- and be sure to check the outtakes to find out what we are REALLY like behind the scenes as we get lost in the middle of an unfamiliar city while looking for Dick Street (no joke...that is actually the street name!).

After a hiatus due to a severe case of the 'Covid-19 Lockdown Blues', the RandomRammstein girls are back with a discussion that Angel has been wanting to do for a very long time -- STEIN UM STEIN.
This week we talk about various tidbits of Rammstein 'news', including new merchandise, the 2020 tour and possible tour DVD. Then we break back into our analytical roots and build an analysis for Stein Um Stein.
We are opening our Instagram DMs up to suggests for an Emigrate song to cover in our next episode -- if you have a favourite you'd like us to dig into, drop us a DM on Instagram:

Well, Till put it out there, so we had to discuss it...yes...this week we have a chat about Till Lindemann's porn video for - Till the End.
In discussing this video we talk about the song, the video, the purpose behind it, what it all might mean, Zoran's influence on it, the implications this might have for Lindemann and Rammstein fan culture, Lindemann and Rammstein parties, our predictions for Till's tattoo and other things...AND... we divulge way too much about our own kinks and sexual proclivities.
If Till can be unabashed in doing his thing... so can we... (until we get remorseful and edit further later). In the meantime, listen quick while the cheeky bits are still available!

Part 2 of a 2 part episode on the new video 'Platz Eins' from Lindemann.
What is a discussion of a Lindemann video without dealing with SEX? The Platz Eins video doubles-down on violence and sex, by including explicit sexual imagery. In this episode we dive deep and discuss whether the 'porn' sequence is necessary to the visual narrative being told and if so, what purpose it serves. We also discuss the use of porn sequences in the new Lindemann stage show, and offer theories about what the 'porn' video that Till Lindemann is rumoured to release on Valentine's Day will entail.
Despite starting Platz Eins episode 1 feeling disappointed about the video, through the course of our discussion and arguments, we come around to find that the video actually serves a very distinct purpose and carries with it a clear message about the nature of stardom and sexual power.
Join us for the wild ride that is -- PLATZ EINS.

Part 1 of a 2 part episode on the new video 'Platz Eins' from Lindemann.
Join us for a wild ride as we delve into the lyrics and video for Platz Eins... going from being disturbed and disappointed, to somewhat impressed and intrigued by the logic within it. As much as we hate to admit it, the visuals of the video offer a compelling (and disturbing) narrative of power and personality.
We talk about symbolism, misogyny, the use of violence, the nature of power, the cult of personality, onstage/offstage personas, and.... SEX -- because what is a discussion of a Lindemann video without resulting in SEX.
For the full discussion of the use of explicit sexual visuals in the video, as well as the use of porn in the new Lindemann tour, and what it may all potentially mean, check out episode 2!

We're finally back and this week we are talking about the song and video for Frau und Mann, from the new Lindemann album of the same name.
We love the video and there are lots of interesting 'opposites' to discuss. Come along for the journey.

This week on RandomRammstein, the Lyric Lunatics get stuck into the new album from Lindemann -- Frau & Mann. We discuss the eclectic sound of the album, the biggest surprises, and our favourite songs. This album is a wild roller-coaster ride of different genres and topics, that left us jamming one minute, laughing the next, then gasping in surprise.
All in all, it was a hell of a ride and we can't wait to ride again!
-
We don't know... we just don't know...but that won't stop us chatting about Ich Weiss Es Nicht (I don't know) - one of the new singles and videos from Lindemann.
The lyrics are heart-breaking and curious and the video is... well... you'll have to listen to find out our thoughts on the video.
As always we cover a wide range of topics in the course of analyzing the lyrics and video, including: the problems with fame, the nature of personality and identity, dementia, and AI as a video author.
-
The latest Lindemann videos have given us lots of food for thought -- but this week we are tackling Knebel - is it tasteless, a feminist statement piece or a chance to thumb their noses at the stupidity of censorship… we have our theories...and we’re gagging to share them!
We analyze the lyrics (as always) but for those of you who want to jump ahead to find out our thoughts on the video... jump to time mark 19:35...that's when the 'juicy' stuff begins (so to speak).
One last word...
TENTACLES.
WARNING: If you have not seen the uncensored version there ARE spoilers in the podcast... we also discuss blood so... you have been warned. We aren't pulling our punches (or thoughts) on this one.
As always, we'd love your feedback.

Part 2 of our 2 part episode on You Are So Beautiful
We have ALOT to say about these videos because they are fascinating! From location aesthetics, to that glorious wig, to costumes, filming choices, good/evil symbolism and yes... SEX as a video element... we roam far and wide as we unpack the original YASB video. Then we turn our analytical lens to the acoustic version of the song and video, to unpack the more subtle symbolism/aesthetics.
And yet again we wonder... WHAT IS IN THE BLOODY BOX?! :)
Part 2 is a double-length episode that digs through the layered symbolism and parallel characterizations in the first YASB video, as well as exploring the aesthetic choices as symbolic in the acoustic version.
As always -- please reach out -- we'd love to hear from you!
