Hi Friends! Today's episode is inspired by my own training journey. For the longest time I felt weird whenever someone would refer to me as an “athlete”. Yes I am training for a performance based outcome of a triathlon, but no I did not feel as though I fit in the “bucket”.

If you feel the same way, this episode is for YOU. For all of you listening- you are most likely an athlete or a performer. I will dig into what both of those mean to me, and go off on a few tangents along the way LOL.

As always, I appreciate the time you spend listening you all more than you could ever know.

    Hi friends!

Today I’m sharing 10 signs that show you have grown in the gym (non physically). This episode was inspired by wanting to make a post about gym growth on instagram but couldn't condense it down into JUST 30 seconds or less (ugh attention spans).. Some of the signs on the list may sound like a “no shit” idea, but those are sometimes the things that need to be reiterated the most. I hope you all enjoy!

Here are my 10 signs of gym growth:

Following a plan Fueling before and afterKnowing your limits and when to reign it inUsing the deadlift platform or any equipment that was scary to youNot hitting every muscle group everyday Not working out for 2+ hours and understanding what consistency is Not restricting calories on off days or over exercising to compensate for missed workouts You stopped body checking Sticking to a goal - we don't want goal interference You asked for help

    The list could go on!

    Hi friends!

This podcast episode today was planned super last minute (changed my mind the day of recording) but I think it was totally worth it- podcasting doesn’t always go as planned LOL

In this episode you can expect to hear about:

Instagram poll review: running vs. liftingAlpha girl strength instagram pageMy fitness journey and reflection on how my view of movement has changed over the last 7 yearsWhy I don’t recommend tracking calories Dr. Stacy Sims Resource - Intermittent Fasting Navigating identity crisis in sport and fitness
