The Salem Witch Trials that took place in the late 1600’s feels like an urban legend to some, however the panic and mass hysteria was real. More than 100 people were accused of witchcraft and sorcery, with at least 20 people being executed without any real evidence against them. Unfortunately, these unsubstantiated claims that led to executions were only the beginning of hate crimes that still exist in our world today.

A woman with dark, curly hair stands in a kitchen. Streamers hang from the ceiling, and a helpful party guest is at the sink getting some dishes out of the way for the party host. The host, Brenda Lambert, stands off center in the photo in a bright yellow t shirt. (Photo will be posted on the blog.) Unmissable because of the color but the thing that draws the eye to her is the look on her face. The expression is hard to read, it could be sadness or worry, but it is definitely not the broad smile you would expect to see in a photo from a one year old's birthday party, especially not from his proud and doting mother. The photo is one of the last taken before Brenda Lambert disappeared, never to be seen or heard from again.
When Brenda went missing, she was 22 years old. Today she would be 54, however Christy believes that Brenda was murdered and will not be found alive. At the time of her disappearance, she was 5’2” and 110 pounds with black, curly, shoulder length hair and dark blue eyes. Brenda is of Caucasian decent.

In the early morning hours of Monday, April 17th, 2023, 22-year-old Mercedes Vega was found dead in the backseat of a burning vehicle. She was a beautiful young woman with a full life ahead of her, until someone brutally tortured and murdered her. Her mother and father continue to fight for law enforcement to get justice for Mercedes.

On the morning of April 22, 2023, Tabatha Tozzi was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, Oswaldo Natanahel Perez-Sanchez in Las Vegas, Nevada. He then stole her friend's car and sped away. He’s never been seen since.
The FBI is offering a $30,000 reward leading to Nate’s arrest.

Sheena Gibbs was a survivor, who fought and beat cancer. Several years later, she suddenly disappeared. Her loved ones feel strongly that she was the victim of a crime, possibly hurt by one of the abusers in her life. 40-year-old Sheena’s disappearance is still unsolved and those who love her will stop at nothing to find her.
Sheena Gibbs is described as a black woman with a dark complexion, 5’9”, 180 pounds with black shoulder length hair and brown eyes at the time of her disappearance. She was last seen at the intersections of Greenleaf and Sheridan in the Roger’s Park Neighborhood on the north side of Chicago. As a child, Vladek Hasel was adopted from a Russian orphanage about 70 miles southeast of Moscow by an American family and lived a life he never dreamed possible. Camille Dardanes Dotson was just 30 years old when she disappeared from Las Vegas, Nevada in 1994. Her loved ones have spent years searching for her, with very little help from law enforcement. Despite the barriers they’ve continued to encounter, Camille’s daughter, friends, and family continue to push for information, determined to get closure and justice for Camille.
At the time of Camille’s disappearance, she was 30 years old, 5’7, and weighed between 125 and 145 pounds. She has brown/hazel eyes and brown hair. At the time, she had a recently broken nose and slightly discolored teeth. The name ‘Cruz’ was tattooed on her right hip. Camille had several different names that she sometimes used, including the first names of Nicole, Renee, and Kim and the last names of Clark and Diaz. Camille would be 60 years old today. In the mid 2000’s 3 men were murdered in close proximity to each other. While the crimes were eerily similar, they were unrelated. Over a decade later two of the three crimes had been solved while the Clewer family still waited for answers

Bob Crane starred as Colonel Robert E. Hogan, the lead of Hogan's Heroes, an American television sitcom airing from 1965 to 1971. It was set in a prisoner of war camp in Nazi Germany during World War II. He was murdered on June 29th, 1978 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The crime remains unsolved to this day.
Today on the Murder Diaries, we're speaking with Bob Crane's official biographers, Carol Ford, and Linda Groundwater. Together, we discussed Bob's life, career, and unsolved murder, and how he went from a middle-class kid born in Waterbury, Connecticut, to a Hollywood star and the lead of Hogan's Heroes.

In August of 2022, Breanna Muriwai’s waterlogged handbag was found on her grandmother's lawn, prompting a search at a local beach
At the time of her disappearance, Breanna was 22 years old. She was 5’2” with a small build. She is of Maori descent, and had shoulder length brown hair. Police don’t believe she is still alive.
