Get ready. We’re taking a road trip into functional medicine—the approach that looks beyond symptoms to address the root causes of health issues. You might’ve forgotten about this, but the Krebs cycle and all those suppressed memories from biochemistry are actually KEY when it comes to developing personalized healthcare. Please enjoy this episode as we barely scratch the surface of the functional biochemistry in healthcare that is so osteopathic in its nature.

It’s been on my list for a while now to create an episode about cranial osteopathy, some of the myths and stigmas and some of the cold hard truths of the matter. Hopefully you might utilize this episode as a resource and a vector to challenge some of our conceptions about things like the CRI (cranial rhythmic impulse) or the primary respiratory mechanism . I’ve done my best to keep everything as grounded as possible in the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology and I hope this content equips us all to start challenging some of the dogma we’re taught in medical school and seek out axiomatic truth. -- Basic Concepts of Brain Pathophysiology and Intracranial Pressure Monitoring
-- Neurological Influences of the Temporomandibular Joint
-- Cranial Rhythmic Impulse related to the Traube-Hering-Mayer Oscillation: comparing laser-Doppler flowmetry and palpation.

William Garner Sutherland's "Contribution of Thought" is a seminal work in osteopathy that outlines his philosophical and practical contributions to the field. It's recognized for its influence on osteopathic principles, particularly regarding cranial osteopathy. The book discusses the importance of understanding the body's inherent ability to heal and the role of the practitioner in facilitating this process. It's valued for its depth of insight and has been referenced extensively in osteopathic literature and education. On today's episode, you're going to hear my own personal contribution of thought regarding a single chapter in William Garner Sutherland's "Contribution of Thought."
