On this episode Susan is joined by the leadership team of The Mentoree; Noa Daniel, Christine Chin and Teri Rubinoff.
They discuss their contribution to the new book “Mentoring for Wellbeing in Schools” and the relationships between Self-Reg and The Mentoree.
The Mentoree began as a collaborative inquiry into the impact of a 1:1 self-directed mentorship experience on professional learning and student achievement. Through a phased approach, we created a community that supports 1:1 self-directed mentorship experiences as professional learning to strengthen teacher efficacy and impact student achievement. Our goal continues to be fostering responsive, reciprocal and non-hierarchical relationships between Mentors and Mentees and among the community at large. Even the name itself blurs the lines between Mentor and Mentee.

As Self-Reggers we're always asking “why” because we want to get to the heart of the problem and on this episode Stuart and Susan ask “why” these schools are facing such challenges with their students. They discuss how to reframe the behaviour to find the underlying causes of stress these kids are facing and how understanding just the first step of Self-Reg can have an impact.
