What are you including OR NOT including in your performance prep plan?
Obviously, you are putting a lot of effort into your training, and hopefully your nutrition. You might know how many calories you need, when to eat those calories, and how to stay hydrated...
But there are a few things that you should consider in order to stay healthy, high performing, and focused once you start your prep.
This month we released a 3-part nutrition series on how to incorporate some often neglected nutrition related strategies that can help you be more resilient once you enter the pipeline.

He finished with BUDS Class 182 as Class Leader and proceeded to SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team TWO in Little Creek VA. There he
trained to drive mini-subs and become the SDV / DDS platoon commander. Deployments were to the Mediterranean Sea during the mid 90s.In 1997 Stew returned back to the Naval Academy become a Company Officer and to run the SEAL preparation program. He became very

About Justin Smith
Alaska born-and-raised, turned Idahoan by way of Bozeman, MT (Montana State), Vaxjo, Sweden (Linnaeus University), and South Dakota (USD). I have always been interested in decision-making under stressful conditions. Growing up in Alaska, I was presented with many opportunities for outdoor adventures where in a split second, making the correct decision could have dramatic consequences. A combination of my interests in human behavior and leading an outdoor lifestyle, lead me from Alaska to Montana to study experimental psychology. Next, I moved to Sweden upon being accepted to graduate school at the Institute of Social Sciences at Linnaeus University. For my master’s thesis I chose to investigate the role of cognitive biases and overconfidence in the field of medical decision making. It was during my master’s work that I became interested of the inner workings of specific brain regions and the decision-making process. This interest led me to The University of South Dakota to complete my Ph.D. in Neuroscience. I was able to research specific pathways and molecular processes that influence decision making and stress.IG @tacticalneuroscience
