    In this week's special episode, Jennifer and I dive deep into our soon-to-be launched "Solutionary Vegan LEVEL-UP podcast." Here we explore the inspiring range of strategies used by animal protectors, environmental activists, and social justice warriors to LEVEL-UP the playing field for all Earth's inhabitants. ⁣⁣

    To be truly solutionary, a solution must significantly and strategically address the underlying causes of the problem. It must do so without causing harm to people, animals, or the environment.

    Solutionary vegans level up by:

    Here's an interesting trivia question... What did Albert Einstein, Lady Gaga, Leonardo DiVinci, and Frida Khalo have in common?

    They all benefited from a daily journaling practice. The truth is, Stephanie and I could fill this episode with a long list of recognizable people who have lived across centuries. These people have implemented journaling into their daily routines.

    We often recommend this powerful tool to our clients. The scientific research to support journaling is extensive and compelling. It is a key strategy for personal development for a variety of reasons.

    However, we hear from our clients that journaling is intimidating to them. They don't know where to begin, and staring at a blank page is so uncomfortable. Occasionally, we find that clients have let their journaling habit become stale.

    In this special episode, Stephanie explores the art and science of journaling and shares tips and strategies to help you get started and keep on writing.

    Let's talk about JOY!

    Following talk about my (Ella's) recent experience (intense!) surviving an ice bath, Stephanie dives into spectacular training on cultivating intentional joy...

    We often look at ways to make our days happier by simply inverting what makes us unhappy. We spend time trying to minimize the impact of unhappiness.

    Essentially, we ask ourselves, how can I prevent myself from becoming unhappy? That seems a little shortsighted when you consider how that negatively impacts us daily.

    Yes, we can build resilience and coping mechanisms to deal with that impact, but that's not quite the same as being intentional about cultivating moments of joy, is it?

    In this episode of The Vegan Life Coach Podcast, Stephanie and I posed powerful prompt questions to inspire you to cultivate intentional moments of joy in your life.

    Put your party hat on and prepare yourself to learn and laugh with Dustin Harder on Episode 85. We had a BLAST talking about Dustin's story, and I'm thrilled to be sharing his infectious energy and playful personality with all of you!

    Fun facts about Dustin and his career...

    His first book, The Simply Vegan Cookbook, has been added to the Forbes list of "Best Vegan Cookbooks" and his second book Epic Vegan was featured on the best cookbooks list for 2019 on "Eat This Not That". Dustin's most recent release is Epic Vegan Quick and Easy.

    A graduate of The Natural Gourmet Institute, Dustin has worked in plant-based recipe and brand development in addition to serving as a private chef, cooking instructor, and culinary director for the Atlanta health food chain Arden's Garden. He is currently the Culinary Specialist with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.

    Dustin is the host and creator of the original vegan travel culinary series The Vegan Roadie and podcast Keep On Cookin'. Dustin has been featured in such publications as Eating Well, VegNews, Vegan Lifestyle Magazine, Chowhound, Vegetarian Times, and Paste Magazine.

    In 2020 Dustin appeared on Food Networks Girl Scout Baking Championship showcasing vegan baking paired with girl scout cookies.

    If you want to be more efficient and effective with your workouts, and understand what it really takes to get in phenomenal shape as a vegan, this episode is calling your name!

    Besides being all-around badasses, my friends Dani Taylor and Giacomo Marchese are co-founders of VeganProteins.com, as well as PlantBuilt.com, a nonprofit organization of strength-based vegan athletes who compete together to raise awareness for veganism and money for rescued animals at farm sanctuaries.

    Dani Taylor is a natural bodybuilding figure champion who grew up in a very unhealthy household and reached 210 pounds by high school. After going vegan for ethical reasons, she began to lose weight and soon found a love of weight-lifting. The combination of a plant-based diet and lifting caused her to lose 90 pounds and turn her health around, eventually going on to win multiple figure competitions. Since then she has become a certified strength and conditioning coach and has coached over a thousand other vegans on their own bodybuilding journeys.

    Giacomo has been vegan for over 10 years and involved with fitness for over 20 years. He actively competes in bodybuilding and powerlifting, is a master coach and trainer, and holds a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell University

    Together they are a powerhouse couple making waves in the vegan fitness world, all while spending time and energy raising awareness and supporting other animal rescue organizations.

    You're in for a treat and will undoubtedly take away actionable steps you can take to become a healthier, stronger version of yourself on every level!
