  • After earning his MS and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Georgia, Angelo Valenti began his professional career as an assistant professor at Oklahoma City University, where he served as Chairman of the Psychology Department from 1976-1979. He left the academic world in 1980 and joined the psychological consulting firm RHR International in their Memphis office. This is where he learned how to help business leaders grow their businesses by hiring and developing the right people for their unique cultures. He's been passionate about helping leaders live their best personal and professional lives for over 40 years.

While working with these leaders, he came to realize that many of them had forgotten or lost the ability to enjoy their lives, even though to the outside world they were highly respected and successful. This led him to expand his coaching practice to individuals who are searching for how to find the joy, contentment, and satisfaction that is within each of us.

Angelo has worked with businesses and individuals for over 40 years and has seen what makes some people succeed and others fail. He's also seen an increase in feelings of dissatisfaction, frustration, self-doubt, anxiety, and worry as individuals try to navigate the choppy waters created by social and other media, economic uncertainty, changing dynamics in relationships, and other external and internal pressures. He has traveled these choppy waters himself, from divorce, through the death of his second wife, and the many business ups and downs. He uses what he has learned to help people gain confidence, reduce worry, strengthen their purpose, and learn to enjoy life on their terms.

His book, You’re Making This Way Too Hard: Find Your EASY Way to NJOYLFE, is a primer for those who want to unlock that inner joy and do so the easy way. This is a powerful conversation, you will love.

  • Patrick Casey has been sober and in recovery since the age of 19. After nearly 20 years of sobriety, years of therapy, reading self-help books, and going on spiritual journeys, he still felt like the young, wounded child of his youth; consumed with self-hate, pessimism, insecurities, anger issues, and constantly worrying about everything.

While attending a live event that he discovered through a podcast, he admitted to a room full of people that he doesn't love himself and I doesn't understand why. He was introduced to new material that has completely shifted my life over the past 2 years. He learned what has been at the root of his self-destructive actions along with uncovering the exact nature of his misguided beliefs. He is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner who has transitioned to personal coaching. He has 6 years of experience working in substance abuse treatment. His mission is to provide men with a new structured process and a safe place where they can be vulnerable.

With some very simple strategies, Patrick was able to transform his life, and these same strategies can help every person. We often judge, blame, and hide our emotions. But what if it were these feelings we needed to heal? This is a wonderfully inspiring podcast, not to be missed.

  • As a Money Mindset expert, Pericles Rellas has worked with tens of thousands of people for over three decades.

About 30 years ago, he noticed that his coaching clients exhibited similar patterns around money. Regardless of how much more they made, their situation and experience around money stayed the same - stress, anxiety, overwhelm and treading water, being behind or just being stuck.

He knew there had to be something more to this, so he decided to study it. Over the next two years he discovered two things.

First, is that we all have a Financial Thermostat setting (or Money Mindset). This setting determines how much we can earn and keep as well as our thoughts, feelings and emotions around money.

Second was the 4 keys to resetting our Financial Thermostat so that money can flow more easily and abundantly in our lives while we experience a better relationship with money, ourselves and the world around us.

There are a ton of coaches who are great at helping you make more money. But what's the point if you can't hold on to it or if you are still are stressed, worried and have fear around money?

It's not about just making more money - it’s about resetting your Financial Thermostat.

In this conversation Pericles and I discuss his journey, the limiting beliefs we have about money that stop the flow of it to us, how to resent our financial thermostat to open the floodgates of abundance into our lives. Don't miss this cracking conversation.

  • Madelaine Weiss, in her own words, describes herself as 'fresh', and 'feisty'. She has been this way all of her life, and as a child often found herself in trouble, grounded, or punished. Her father was a business owner who died at forty-two years old. She was just fifteen. The doctor said he died of a cerebral hemorrhage, but since she was grounded at the time for speaking truth to power again, she was pretty sure he died of her.

It was not until one day at the cemetery, when she finally broke down with her mother about how “all her fault” it was, that she found out it was not Her after all. In her shining moment as a mom, her mother said tenderly, “No, honey, it wasn’t you. It was work.” Although there was little she could do to help then, Madelaine have since built a career on a foundation of extensive education and experience to help other people enjoy happier, healthier, prosperous and productive lives—at work and at home.

Madelaine is a co-author in the Handbook of Stressful Transitions Across the Lifespan, and author of the new release “Getting to G.R.E.A.T. 5-Step Strategy for Work and Life.” And now, to help executives, professionals, and entrepreneurs, so many of whom worry about their children, Madelaine is launching "What's Your Story?" a personal development workbook for kids and the people who love them.

We have a fabulous conversation that I know will help people who want to change their story and get to great. Her acronym and process, G.R.E.A.T. is a powerful one, and I know if applied will help every single person get to great. This is an incredible conversation, not to be missed.

  • Bob Martin’s story is as riveting as the narratives he crafts. Once a criminal trial lawyer deeply entrenched in Miami’s notorious legal battles, Bob began his writing career drafting legal briefs and essays.

In the wake of 9/11, disillusioned by the violence carried out in the name of religion, he conceived the idea of divine messages guiding humanity—a concept that evolved into his first book, Children of Abraham. Navigating an unfamiliar publishing landscape, Bob encountered every consultant and pitch imaginable. After a year of fruitless efforts to secure an agent or publisher, he boldly chose the self-publishing route—printing and selling thousands of copies directly from his garage.

His hands-on experience with grassroots publicity laid the groundwork for his next literary endeavor. With I Am The Way, Bob’s work captured the attention of Innovative Ink, a traditional publisher now poised to re-release Children of Abraham in April. Bob’s dual life as a lawyer and an author uniquely positions him to speak on both the creative process and the realities of modern publishing. His journey—from legal briefs to literary acclaim—offers invaluable insights into the challenges and triumphs of bringing meaningful work to market.

Now a two-time published author and Professor of Wellness at Elon University, Bob blends Taoist wisdom, brain science, psychology, and humor to tackle everything from breaking free of limiting beliefs to finding clarity and resilience in life’s chaos. He discusses a practical and inspiring way to help everyone, go with the flow. This is a wonderful conversation, not to be missed.

  • Jason Blyth's home, full of violence and volatility, caused an atmosphere whereby he was petrified as a child. The result meant he spent much of his childhood living with his grandparents and many years of countless visitations to psychiatrists. His first visit at just 33 months old. He left “home” a broken youth. Physically and emotionally abused, a life full of trauma, he spent the next fifteen years searching for a connection, a place in the world and a place he could feel a sense of worth.

Sadly, this only resulted in more destruction in his life, and those he associated with. Nonetheless, in those early years he had a small light that shone and he became a world class inline speed skater. He won multiple national championships, representing New Zealand on the international stage for a period of six years. As a gifted athlete, Jason played soccer in New Zealand’s National Youth League, as well as winning many swimming titles, triathlons, and the list goes on. This provided an outlet for survival as he continued to battle with the scars of his childhood. Sport taught him discipline, which Jason attributes to becoming necessary for his survival.

He left home at fifteen, and by sixteen, he had dropped out of school. Jason quickly entered a life of depression, full of anxiety and anger. He would give up on his skating at seventeen years, and instead indulged in drinking and partying to excess. It wouldn’t be long before Jason began building a career in music, which eventually would lead him to travel to Hollywood, to record music with world class producers. Desperate to please, succeed and belong, he found himself engulfed in a world of darkness that he had never experienced before.

He found himself mixing in the occult, where he was following some of the most prominent leaders in the time. It almost cost him everything, including his life. By 2018, Jason’s life had completely collapsed, he had actually gone from bad to worse. Having lost all hope, he checked himself into a psychiatric ward and then celebrated his 30th birthday in rehab.

During this time, Jason began to read an instruction book on life and how best to deal with its challenges. He had plenty, so it needed to be a good book
it needed to hold good news for this young man.

He began to read the bible. From there everything (and we mean everything) changed.

Jason is now unrecognisable as a person, compared to his former life. Through God’s amazing grace, Jason has overcome the destructive habits, and behaviours that had him chained to a position devoid of hope and life.

Jason is now focused on sharing his life story to give hope to those who are struggling. Showing through his experience, not just theory, that people can have hope. Showing that they can change and can lead fulfilling lives in this very challenging world.

  • On July 16, 2021, Montana firefighter Dan Steffensen was burned over while trying to outrun a wall of fire. He suffered 3rd degree burns over 60% of his body. He should have died that night.

After waking from a coma at the Utah burn center, Dan prayed to God. And just possibly, God answered by sending him a thousand angels in rescue, medicine, honor guards, therapy, workman’s comp, friends, and family.

This is not just a fire story. It’s a human story about the town of Red Lodge, Montana, during what is still called the “Summer of Hell,” when Dan’s burnover was just one of many horrific tragedies. It is about firefighters and their families and how they responded when, as Dan says, “Shit happens fast.”

Though there may be challenging pieces in the pages, to quote Chief Tom Kuntz: “We sleep well at night because 1) Dan knew what he was doing and did the right thing in a bad situation that was not preventable; 2) our organization did an incredible job to support him and his family; 3) we are fortunate that Dan is such a tough guy.”

In this conversation, I speak with Dan and A.J. about their stories, how they met, and how they came to team up together to write the book. There is so much in this podcast that will lift and inspire every single person. Dan is the epitome of courage, persistence, and loving life. A.J. is the epitome of compassion and community.
