  • You’ve heard his music every episode during this show's intro, now it’s time to get to know the man behind the songs… The one, the only Marcus Bennett aka Marcus Reid.

Marcus is a guitarist, pianist, vocalist, and actor who has opened for Sara Bareilles, Regina Spektor, and Gavin Degraw. He's the bandleader of The Marcus Reid Band and recently performed for Clive Davis and The Davis Family at a private event. He talks about what that experience was like and what Clive Davis told him after the gig.

Marcus holds a BFA from the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College and shares a story about Regina Spektor and the audition that got him into Purchase.

He also talks about his first ever performance (which was when he was in the fifth grade), what his definition of a ‘rock star’ is, and and how getting married to his wife, Amanda, and becoming a father to his little girl, Ava (with a little baby boy on the way), has changed his life for the better, and helped him truly focus on what’s important in life.

Marcus is one of my best friends in the world and I’ve learned so much from him through the years. I can't wait to share this interview with you. If you enjoy it, please leave a written review and rate the episode in Apple Podcasts. Your reviews and ratings really help in a big way. Thank you so much for the continued support!
