PERSONAL / YOUTUBE UPDATE.
I’ll go to bed and have some sleep now, because I’ve had a few nights in a row now, with not so much of sleep. Because!
I’m really working on my YouTube channel at the moment, and like my podcast; then I see it as some sort of portfolio, that hopefully can help with adding lots of value to you guys and other viewers.
If you feel like it, then go and check out my channel. I would love to know if it resonates with you and if it’s bringing you any value (that’s the plan, so I’m convinced it will)
When that is said, then I’m recording all of the videos in my living room (at this current time!) and some of them are better than others. But that’s okay for now. As long as they get even better with time.
I live by these words; start before you’re ready and then: adjust, apply and continue. Talk soon. xx J

BE STRATEGIC ON GROWING YOUR AUDIENCE.
So, I thought I wanted to share a little tip with you guys on growing your audience! And in specific; on YouTube.
As some of you know, then I’m a big believer in more followers, means more potential customers, which means more potential sale.
And since my mission is, to help you make your dreams come true, in the fields of coaching, author, podcaster, tv presenter or tv show creator - then it’s relevant enough of me to share a post on how to grow your audience, even though I’m expanding my field here by talking a little bit about YouTube.
So, tomorrow is precisely ONE week ago I started my YouTube channel, and since then my channel has grown with 866% and I have a current reach of 9.231.
With that said then: I don’t have so many views or subscriptions yet, but let me tell you how to get even more exposed without investing any money (at all) in reaching more potential audience: be aware of what you name your YouTube videos!
As you can tell, then I have lots of videos which is in the top 10 or top 3 on YouTube, in its category, even though I don’t have that many views YET.
Set time aside to do some research on the NAMES of your videos, because when you succeed with ranking them high on the list of search word, then it’s only a question of time for people to find you and thereby: grow your audience.
Keyword: be strategic!

HEART VERSUS BRAIN DECISIONS.
''Keep dreaming. Keep creating. Keep leading with your heart.''
Here’s another great one by Marie Forleo. I just read it on twitter and it hit me that...
I’m finally in a place in my life, where I can say, honestly, that I’m leading 100% with my heart.
With that said, then I’m aware that heart decisions ain’t always theeeee right ones, because we have to take care of our life, heart and those people who we love and care about - and sometimes, that’s the brain decisions which can ALSO be great at that.
What leads you in your decision making? And how do you balance the heart/brain decisions in your life?
Would love to know. xx J

TELEPROMPTER: GO OR NO GO?
Hi everyone! It’s been a week (or weeks?) since I posted something, because I’ve been busy working on my other social media platforms.
I’m a big believer of getting yourself out there, as much as you can, in order to grow your audience - and therefore; later on your customers too.
So as some of you know, then I’ve been super focused on my Instagram, then later on my podcast and now - I’m currently working on my YouTube channel.
In a few weeks I’ll be able to continue my focus back (in a balanced way!) on all of my different social media platforms at the same time, instead of only working on reaaaallyy building ONE platform at the time.
So! I have a few thoughts on the ‘teleprompter’ theme as you can tell from my picture.
I’ve tried a few, and also bought one - I’ve watched many YouTube videos about the BEST ones and downloaded and bought the best one - BUT! Don’t do that. No matter how great you are, then my opinion is that it’s not worth the effort on trying to become great at it.
Because! Your audience will be able to tell, that you’re using a teleprompter. Your eyes will be reading (if you know what I mean) EVEN if the text is placed millimetres from the camera lens. Or even on top of it. You can also tell from the way you present your script, it will sound like you’re reading - and your audience won’t connect with it.
Instead, try to see if you can memorize your script instead! I have made a post and a YouTube video about - how you can do that in a great way.
Enjoy and good luck on your journey of producing amazing content. xx J

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING BEFORE STARTING ON YOUR WRITING PROCESS.
This is a picture from one of my settings during my writing process of my first book: feet’s out of the window, sun in the face and the computer inside of the apartment, so I was able to see the screen more clearly.
There’s lots of ways to do a writing process - the most important thing is that you feel good.
Personally, then I’ve written both of my books at the same cafe and in my apartment. For me the most important thing was to feel inspired, to like the vibe, but also to feel a sense of peace and make sure that my environment wouldn’t disturb me during writing.
For you content creators out there (and for everyone else who’s deeply concentrated and focused on something...) then being disturbed is the worst thing, because it breaks your flow and most often (worst case) makes it really difficult to get back in to a fx writing rhythm.
So, I find that the environment and the surroundings might be the #1 most important thing to get straight (to find) before starting your writing process. Because it will help your process so much more, and you’ll get further with your dream by making sure that the practical things around you WORK, before loosing yourself in stories, imagination and so on.
I’m so curious; what’s your preferred way to work/create? xx J

HOW TO AVOID CREATING DRAMA FOR YOURSELF DURING AN INTERVIEW.
So here’s a blurred black and white picture from a setting on stage during the book fair in Copenhagen.
What I leaned from this interview is simply:
• If you don’t know something, about something, then say that. Instead of trying to pretend that you do.
• If the interviewer is trying to point the interview in a certain direction by the line up of questions being asked, then focus on the reason why you’re doing the interview in the first place and direct the focus back on your want and intention with the interview.
Most often journalists will try to push you in a certain direction which is good for the direction and form they wish the interview to take, because they know that the topics, focus, angle, theme or so on is fx hot topics or something that people buy in on by fx physical buying a magazine or by clicking on a article on the internet.
When this is said, then here’s an important note: I’m not saying that this interviewer did that. But I’m saying that I was aware about the fact, that journalists most often has a agenda.
So: practise staying focused on the message you want to deliver/point you’re trying to make or so on - and be proactive and aware about pointing the interview in a direction which benefits you and your dreams. xx J

WHAT TO WRITE AND WHEN TO WRITE?
So the other day I got a question from some of you about what to write and when to write.
When having a dream about becoming an author and publishing a book, doesn’t always equals that you know exactly what to write about or when to write it - and that is okay!
The most important part of the process is to plant a seed and thereby grow a dream. Because, everything in this wild world (almost) starts with having a dream, that eventually can take root and grow into what you have imagined it to be.
But here’s my advice for you on that:
1. Try different book ideas out. Write them down, work on them, pitch them, be open about them and start a dialogue with relevant people about them (ex publishers and so on) Because by trying different ideas out and going for them, will lead you in the right direction of what the right book idea will be for you. Because you gain experience by trying and therefore getting more awareness on what’s working and what’s not working.
2. See if you can sell the book idea to a publisher house and sign the contract based on the IDEA and not the whole script. Your time is precious and you better use it right. When you have a signed contract, you can start a dialogue with your publisher house which will help you out with the ‘when’ to write it.
This is my opinion and what I’ve done with both of my books, but that doesn’t mean that’s the final and correct approach.
What’s your approach on this?

This is a quote by filmmaker, Ken Burns, from an article on Forbes.com.
The context of the quote is not the point I wish to make or describe in this post.
But what I would love to put a few words on, is the truth of: the power of words. As written, or by listening to them in a conversation, in a play, in music or so on.
Maya Angelou has also said something beautiful about the power of words and here it is (had to google it after I read this quote myself):
“Words are things, I’m convinced,” she said. “You must be careful about the words you use or the words you allow to be used in your house.”
“You must be careful. Care about calling people out of their names, using racial pejoratives and sexual pejoratives and all that ignorance,” she said. “Don’t do that.”
Words, she felt, have to power to seep into everything around you. “I think they get on the walls, they get in your wallpaper, they get in your rugs and your upholstery and your clothes,” Dr. Angelou said. “And, finally, into you.”
I’ll really recommend you to YouTube ‘The power of words - Maya Angelou.’ She describes it so beautifully in words.
So, I guess my point here is: writing, singing, performing a play or presenting a show (any kind) does make a difference.
So be careful about your words, but also: go inspire! Because words; can change minds. xx J

ON PERFECTIONISM.
This this post I want to talk about perfectionism.
Many of us have a tendency to never start, never publish or never even try to book the meeting with xxx as we dream of! Why?
Because we don’t feel ready yet. We don’t feel like we know enough yet (at least that’s one of our excuses), or the timing is not so good at the moment (another excuse) or I’ll go apply for the job or try to book the meeting once I look a little bit more slim. Can you relate?
Well. Being a perfectionist is a great thing, because it also means that you’re really putting an effort into the things that you’re into. But it can also, at the same time, be a very challenging thing to be a perfectionist and you know why? Because it’s almost impossible to do or create anything perfect and if that’s what you thrive for: wow, please don’t be so hard on yourself!
Rather make mistakes along the way and learn from them (as Maya Angelou says: when you know better, you do better), than never even getting started. Because that will for sure block all of your dreams.
Then rather start, when you feel like your product/body/website and so on looks almost exactly how you want it, and then make it even better along the way, as the time passes.
In this way, you get started, you learn, you can apply your new knowledge to whatever you got started with and in that way: you become better.
So why am I posting this exact picture? Let me tell you!
Behind me there’s an ugly yellow and green plastic bag, laying all messy on the floor, because I came straight from the grocery store once I did this picture. So now I have two options:
1. Not to post it and get stuck, because I find it ugly
2. To post the picture and hopefully add value to some of you readers. And you know what? It feels great to keep going! So please: go, go, go! xx J

HOW TO HANDLE A PROBLEM.
... so don’t push the problem away or try to avoid it.
Try to see it as your friend instead, who has a message for you, and try to listen and learn (or research until you know how to act accordingly/solve the problem/understand/learn) instead of seeing the problem as a negative thing or even as some sort of enemy.
I see this like I see the thing about fear: don’t push it away, don’t avoid it, don’t be scared of it... instead: look it right in the eye and give it a wink!
Whatever you try to run from in life (almost) will catch up on you sooner or later or keep ghosting you around. So try to make peace with the problem instead, it will satisfy your soul on a whole different level.
And then be courageous and ask yourself open questions like: what are you here to teach me? How can I learn from this situation? What is the take away of newly learned wisdom that I can keep safe in my heart and add to future situations that will remind me/look like the current problem based situation I’m in right now?
Asking yourself open questions, allowing yourself to search for the answers and to look at the problem straight - instead of closing your eyes towards what’s happening right now, will help you evolve and grow as a human being.
So when a problem comes, please be nice to it, cause it tries to teach you something. xx J

THE SACRIFICES WE SOMETIMES HAVE TO MAKE IN ORDER TO REACH OUR DREAMS.
So this evening I felt like writing a post about the lack of integrity and/or the sacrifices we sometimes have to make towards reaching our dreams in order to actually and eventually reach them.
Do you know the feeling of:
• saying yes to ugly work (maybe you work as a photographer and have to say yes to brands you find boring or ugly, in order to pay your bills so you also can get to shoot editorials or whatever you find beautiful and inspiring. Or even important)
• or the feeling of having to dress/speak/perform a certain way in order to reach respect from clients/someone who you admire, until you have proven enough to not having to do all of those things anymore? Because your results speaks for themselves, so now you no longer need to fear if you’re too unexperienced, young or even if your gender might be ‘in the way’ in order for you to reach the job/position/dream you long for?
I think this is perfectly normal and a process most of us have to go through, before reaching the level we wish to reach.
During the years I have even heard people putting words such as ‘prostitution’ on it because it can feel like ‘selling your body/soul/talent’ for money, which might be against your values and/or integrity.
But I guess my point with this post is: everything has a beginning. And you can’t have it all. Sometimes you have do some irritating/boring or so on things, in order to get to a place where you no longer need to do them. But of cause: don’t go too far and take good care of yourself along the way.
But when that is said then: see if you can gain some acceptance on the fact, that most of us sometimes have to do some not so super cool things in order to reach a point where we’ll only get to do the super cool things. xx J
P.S. I’ve had five interruptions during writing this post, I hope they won’t be reflected to much in it.

HOW TO BECOME A TELEVISION PRESENTER.
So this morning I thought I wanted to share with you a ‘behind the scenes’ video from our television show production.
In this little studio, we produced +400 shows, can you imagine?
I know that some of you would like to know, how to become a television presenter.
Well, let’s cover that in a short way: you have to be proactive.
You can either:
1. Look for a job as a TV/online presenter on the internet
2. Go and do some networking with people from the industry
3. Send an email to the television station/company you would like to work for and explain them why you’re so necessary at their production. This is a job though, where a lot of the decision making on whether you should work there or not, happens during the casting while they observe you perform/present a script.
Personally then I networked my way in to being invited to a casting for the job.
So there’s many ways to do it, but one thing those ways have in common is: proactivity.
Also: if you’re interested in reading more about ‘anchoring’ (= controlling your emotional state) before attending a fx meeting/casting/audition, then please read one of my latest post which is about ‘How to anchor feelings’.
And if you have any questions or thoughts on this, then please comment below. ❤️ xx J

HOW TO SET AN INTENTION.
Good morning everyone!
Thought I wanted to share a beautiful poem with you guys and after that: 3 tips on how set an intention.
But first, here’s the poem by Christen Rodgers: “Like seeds on the wind our intentions spread far and wide unfurling their power as they go. Until they find the environment balanced just right for our dreams to take root and begin to grow.”
Here’s the 3 tips on how to set an intention:
1. Set aside some minutes to think
2. Jot down priorities and realistically personalize them
3. Check in on your progress and remain accountable
Hope this was beneficial for you and remember: intention + action = (could turn out as) magic. xx J

HOW TO HANDLE BEING NERVOUS BEFORE A PERFORMANCE.
Okay, so the other day I got a message about what to do, if feeling nervous before a recording.
A recording can be many different things: a podcast recording, video, production, online live courses/sessions or so on - so I thought that would be a great topic to bring up and cover for this evening.
This is a picture from a shooting at Mallorca, some years ago, but I still remember the excitement that arises before shooting for big clients, and therefore I find the emotional reaction exactly the same; whether it’s a recording or a photoshoot, like here.
After 15 years in front of a camera (in different fields) I’ve learned a thing or to about how to handle the emotions and not letting them destroy your performance.
1. Make peace with your feelings by accepting them
2. Know that all feelings rises and passes
3. Be prepared as good as you can
4. Do your best
5. Show up and give it your all
6. Dive into it ASAP and kick ass, instead of holding yourself back or waiting for your body to relax naturally. Sometimes I really find that you have to:
7. Fake it until you make it
Good luck! xx J

HOW TO HANDLE A ‘BEING OUT OF BREATH WHILE RECORDING A PODCAST EPISODE’ SITUATION.
I know that feeling for sure! And especially because my new podcast is in English, which is not my main language! (For those of you who don’t know, then I’m from Denmark)
Here’s a few tips on how to handle the being out of breath while recording a podcast episode situation:
1. Just stop talking when you need to breathe, and then continue. You can cut while editing your podcast episode
2. Learn how to control your breath. Practise how to breathe from down in your stomach instead of from your chest and up. Hope it makes sense
3. If you’re feeling like you’re loosing your breath during performing a sentence, then break the sentence up in shorter pieces and breathe whenever you need to
4. Be very aware of starting on a new word while during this, so you don’t stop in the middle of a word or you start to record in the second you begin on your word. In this way you will make it impossible for yourself to cut in the editing process and the end result won’t sound good
Good luck and enjoy! xx J

ON THE POWER OF SHOWING UP.
I just stumbled upon this quote by Marie Forleo on Twitter. And I find it beautiful. True. Wise. Brave... Courageous. Vulnerable.
And that made me feel like going on google to find some even more beautiful words about the power of showing up.
Here’s a few beautiful lines I found. I hope they will add some beauty and power to your heart and journey towards making your dreams come true, too:
“The willingness to show up changes us, It makes us a little braver each time.” - Brené Brown
“Life is about showing up, so is writing. That’s why I sit at my desk every day and dance my fingers across the keyboard” - Laurie B.
“The formula for success is 2% talent, 8% luck, and 90% of showing up every day.” - Jeffrey F.

TIPS ON HOW TO SUCCEED WITH YOUR PODCAST IN 2020.
Hi guys! It’s been a week since I posted last time, because I have been busy working on my other social media platforms.
This picture is a screenshot of my statistics from my new podcast.
I launched ‘Dream to reality’ podcast on my existing podcast platform on May 5th and 7 hours after (I didn’t check it again before bedtime) it had reached the #1 on iTunes in it’s category ‘How to’.
This post is not for bragging, but for pointing out that I’ve changed a few things in the format this time, which obviously work and can might be helpful for you too in order to succeed with your podcast in 2020:
1. The episodes are maximum 5 minutes long
2. They’re really niched down to ‘how to’ (a category) in the fields I’m experienced in
So a key thing here is to be very specific about your want with the podcast.
3. I’ve prioritised good time to focus on my TAGS
I didn’t give my podcast any attention today, which is being reflected in the statistical.
And that only illustrates the importance of taking the right steps in order for your podcast to grow. ❤️

THE MAGIC OF A SUPPORT SYSTEM.
Today I want to talk about the importance of a support system. Have you ever tried
• to be in a healthy relationship, and during that time you felt like you could reach your dreams a tiny bit more?
• that a family member was there for you during a difficult time, and therefore you got quicker and even stronger back up on your feet?
• that a girlfriend of yours kept supporting you during a time filled with stress and confusion, and therefore helped you to calm down and reach clarity sooner than later?
Then you’ve also experienced the magic of a support system.
My experience is, that we’re able to accomplish so much more as human beings, when we have people around us who love and support us during great or less greater times in our life.
Sometimes one person, can help us do the whole difference. Because a support system is all about quality (authentic love and support) than quantity (having a bigger group of surface friends).
This is a picture of me and my mom, and she is for sure one of the primary people in my life. Apropos support, then this picture is taken for my first book and I put it in the end of the book beside the page where I gave thanks to the people supporting me during the writing process.
We can all be better through love and support. xx J

GET TO KNOW YOURSELF BETTER VIA YOUR DREAMS.
So tonight I just want to inspire you with something that could might be helpful on your journey towards discovering what you dream of achieving in your life.
And that is: dream interpretation.
You see, the beautiful thing about dreams is that they have their own global language. And by that I mean: when you dream, then you dream in pictures, colours or even in numbers and these things are metaphors for feelings/meanings of different things.
Ex: if you tend to dream of water, then the global language/metaphor for water is: feelings. So there you got a clue on what’s going on inside of your mind/in your thoughts.
Also: ask and you shall receive and by this I mean: ask yourself some questions you wish to have answered before going to bed and there will be a chance that the answers arises during the night in a dream.
So: if you’re unsure of what you’re dreaming about (in real life) or what to do/how to handle a current project/event in your life, then go seek answers in your dreams.
You can become smarter on dreams in many different ways but here’s tree easy ones:
1. Google your dream (ex snake) on google like this: ‘snake dream interpretation’ and you’ll see what pops up and understand your dream/yourself better during learning about this topic
2. Buy an ebook on dreams/a hardcover book and carry it around. Most books about dreams have a ‘dream dictionary/library’ with lots of different metaphors and their meanings
3. Go do some research on if you can find any great podcast on dreams
Go and get smarter and wiser on yourself through understanding your late night dreams in a way that you become wiser and reach more clarity on your day dreams / life dreams. xx J

HOW TO BECOME SPECIFIC IN OUR WANTS.
''When you start saying what you really want, your mind automatically shifts to pull you in that direction. Give your vocabulary a positive makeover to speak your dreams into existence.''
For those of you who have followed me for a while and who have read my posts with consistency, then you’ll know that I’m a big believer in the power of words - and therefore also a big believer of this quote.
But sometimes, it can be difficult to narrow down what we really want (because there’s so many great opportunities out there) and therefore we get confused and loose direction along our way.
If you know this feeling, then I have a really simple tool which is super effective and great in helping us become specific in our wants. Here it comes:
1. Write down all the different things you want
2. Organise them in a prioritised order
3. Agree with yourself to only choose 10 of them in total
4. Then agree with yourself to only choose five
5. When you have your five wants on your list then do this: focus on one want at the time and compare it to each other want and ask yourself ‘which one do I want to keep on my list the most?’
6. Continue to do this with all of your wants
7. Until you have only one or two wants left
8. Now focus on them, and by a constant awareness apply them in your vocabulary on a daily basis.
9. Also do some visualisations to make yourself believe in your own words and wants even more
10. Wait and see. I’m convinced that you eventually will start to speak your dreams into existence
Once you’ve made a active decision on turning your want into a dream coming true, then your mind and your heart will help you find a way. Good luck! xx J
