Reality competition shows like Survivor and Big Brother have taken over our screens for years—but did you know there’s a whole world where you can play these games online? Online Reality Games (ORGs) bring strategy, alliances, and social gameplay to a digital space, creating intense, unpredictable, and wildly fun experiences.
In this episode, I sit down with Alex Hivor, a seasoned ORG host and player, to explore what makes these games so special. We break down how ORGs work, what draws people to them, and the unique challenges of playing a game where every move happens behind a screen.
Then, we take a deep dive into The Hive, the ORG Alex created, and how it has evolved into one of the most dynamic games in the community. Using Season 12—which I played in!—as a guide, we discuss what goes into casting a great season, the balance of personalities and gameplay styles, and how the best ORG players stand out. Plus, we relive some of Season 12’s biggest surprises, memorable moments, and, of course, a little Donnie chaos.
If you’ve ever been curious about ORGs or are thinking about playing one, this episode is one to tune into to.
