ABOUT JOE KENNEDY:
The film, Average Joe, was inspired by his life. A twenty-year Marine veteran, he was an assistant coach for the Bremerton High School (BHS) varsity football team. Before he even coached his first game, the Marine-turned-football coach committed to God that he would give thanks after each game for what the players had accomplished and for the opportunity to be part of their lives through football. This was met with disapproval from his school district and became a lengthy court battle. On June 27, 2022, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Coach Kennedy and his First Amendment rights, and on March 8, 2023, Coach Kennedy was officially reinstated as assistant coach and is excited to be back with his team. Joe and his wife, Denise, are parents to four and currently reside in Pensacola. He continues to speak across the country, promoting freedom of speech.
ABOUT ERIC CLOSE:
Eric Close is the leading role in Average Joe. He is best known for starring in the hit series Nashville and Clint Eastwood’s movie American Sniper. He directed episodes of Nashville and six films with Crown Media, including A Christmas Love Story and his latest, Sugar Plum Twist. Earlier in his career, Eric starred for almost a decade on the critically acclaimed series Without A Trace, which was nominated for a Golden Globe for best ensemble cast. He also starred in the series Chaos and Suits.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Erwin McManus, a remarkable individual who has significantly impacted my life through his unique approach to faith, entrepreneurship, and communication. Erwin is both an entrepreneur and a church leader, a rare combination that has allowed him to finance and grow his church, Mosaic, in innovative ways.
We discussed Erwin’s journey of transforming a traditional church into Mosaic, a vibrant community that reaches a diverse group of people, including atheists, agnostics, and artists. Erwin shared the challenges he faced, including financial struggles and internal conflicts, and how his entrepreneurial spirit helped him navigate these obstacles.
Erwin emphasized the importance of living a life of excellence, both in the church and in the secular world. He shared personal anecdotes about maintaining high standards and the necessity of continuous improvement. We discussed how Christians can have a significant impact in their workplaces by living out their faith authentically and striving for excellence.
One of the key topics we explored was the concept of "Mind Shift," which is also the title of one of Erwin's new books. He explained how changing internal mental structures can lead to success and fulfillment. Erwin highlighted the importance of self-critique and the willingness to grow, even if it means leaving behind people who do not support your growth.
Erwin also introduced "The Arena," a learning community he created to help people, especially entrepreneurs, develop their communication, leadership, and character. This platform offers a space for high-level learning and personal development. In closing, Erwin shared a powerful truth bomb: "You are your own ceiling." He encouraged listeners to take responsibility for their lives and recognize that their own limitations are often the biggest barriers to success.
For those who are far from the Lord or have not accepted Jesus, Erwin offered heartfelt advice on finding faith and community. He emphasized the relational aspect of faith and the importance of surrounding oneself with people who live vibrant, meaningful lives.
This episode is packed with insights and inspiration for anyone looking to live a life of excellence and impact, both in their faith and in the world.

I had the incredible honor of hosting the Kendrick Brothers, the creative minds behind the number one box office hit, War Room, and other impactful films like Overcomer, Courageous, and Fireproof.
We discussed their latest project, The Forge, which is set to release in theaters on August 23rd. This new film focuses on discipleship and takes place in the same universe as War Room. The Kendrick Brothers shared the inspiration behind The Forge, emphasizing the importance of men stepping up in their faith and mentoring the next generation. They highlighted how the film portrays a Christian businessman investing in the life of a 19-year-old, guiding him through the journey of discipleship with relatable challenges and triumphs.
We also chatted the differences between War Room, which centered on women and strategic prayer, and The Forge, which focuses on male discipleship. The brothers explained their creative process, which involves a lot of prayer and seeking God's guidance to ensure their films are both entertaining and spiritually enriching.
A special highlight was discussing Priscilla Shirer's role in The Forge. Known for her impactful performance in War Room, Priscilla returns to play dual roles as twin sisters, adding depth and humor to the film.
The Kendrick Brothers also mentioned the various resources they've developed to accompany the movie, including books and curriculums aimed at fostering discipleship.
We wrapped up the episode by emphasizing the power of prayer and the potential for The Forge to inspire real-life change.
The Kendrick Brothers urged listeners to pray for the film's impact and to use it as a tool for ministry and discipleship in their communities.
Don't forget to mark your calendars for August 23rd and visit theforgemovie.com for more information. Thank you for joining us, and let's continue to pray for and support this incredible work! I’m wildly cheering you, Alita Reynolds

In this episode, Alita Reynolds, Women of Faith President, sits down with her dear friend Lisa Toney. They discuss the importance of embracing truths and maintaining positive mindsets to keep our focus on Jesus. They emphasize the significance of transitioning from darkness to light, mourning to joy, and chaos to peace. By proclaiming these truths and cultivating positive mindsets, we can shape ourselves and keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. They stress that emotional maturity is just as crucial as spiritual maturity when navigating through challenging situations and emotions. By studying God's word, individuals can develop emotional maturity and understand that emotions should not be the driving force behind their actions, but rather their faith should be.
The conversation unveils the process of untangling the knots within ourselves during difficult seasons or challenging circumstances. Alita and Lisa compare it to the exercise of untangling a human knot and stress the importance of persistently working through these tangles until a new direction begins to emerge. By discussing it with Jesus or a trusted spiritual leader or friend, we can untangle the knots and find clarity and resolution.
Additionally, Alita and Lisa touch on the concept of experiencing extreme situations to witness the transformative power of God. They suggest that sometimes we need to reach the end of ourselves or our previous experiences to embrace the newness that God has in store for us. This process requires courage and a strong faith in God's guidance and provision.
The episode underscores the significance of embracing truths, maintaining positive mindsets, and having faith to keep our focus on Jesus. By doing so, we can navigate through challenging emotions and situations, untangle the knots within ourselves, and experience the transformative power of God. Alita and Lisa encourage us to remember that our story is not over yet, even during difficult seasons, and to hold onto hope and trust in God's plan and purpose for our lives.

Overview:
Worry is a common experience that many people face in their lives. It can consume our thoughts, drain our energy, and hinder our ability to live in the present moment. However, there is a way to transform this negative emotion into something positive and empowering. In this show episode titled "Overcoming Worry," our friend and guest, Gary Meacham, shares her journey of overcoming worry and finding a new perspective.
Gari Meacham is supportive and a treasured friend. She offers guidance and points others toward Jesus when they struggle with worry. Gary runs a ministry and is a gift to those she serves. Gary admits that she has struggled with worry, which she finds embarrassing, considering she has written books on the topic. She shares that she used to confuse praying with worrying, merely adding God's words at the beginning and end of her worries. However, she had a realization and began to understand that true prayer involves belief and trust in God rather than being consumed by worry.
The message of turning worry into a vision is powerful and applicable to anyone who struggles with worry. It reminds us that worry is a natural response to challenging situations but doesn't have to define our lives. By shifting our focus from fear and anxiety to hope and faith, we can transform our worries into a vision for a better future.
Gary Meacham's journey of overcoming worry serves as an inspiration for others facing similar struggles. Through her story, we learn that shifting our perspective and trusting God's plan for our lives is possible. By envisioning a positive future and letting go of worry, we can find peace and live a life free from anxiety. We hope this episode gives you the inspiration and courage to give all your worries to Jesus.
I am wildly cheering you on,

In life, we all face difficulties and challenges that can shake our faith and make us question our beliefs. Janet Paolicelli shares one such experience in today's show. Janet describes a betrayal she and her family went through with their church leaders, an experience that shattered her trust and made her question her faith. However, instead of giving up on her beliefs, Janet embarked on a journey to find God in this difficult time.
Janet's story resonates with many of us who have faced similar challenges within our faith communities. We often look up to church leaders and expect them to represent Christ. When they fail us or act in ways that contradict the teachings of the Bible, it can be deeply unsettling. Janet's experience highlights the importance of not placing our faith solely in the hands of others but seeking a personal relationship with God.
Janet's experience highlights habits' significant role in shaping our relationship with God. By prioritizing time in God's word and seeking His presence throughout the day, we can deepen our understanding of His character and align ourselves with His will. Janet's journey serves as a reminder that our faith should not be dependent on external factors or the actions of others but on our commitment to cultivate a close and continuous relationship with God. As we develop these habits, we open ourselves to a deeper experience of God's presence and guidance.
I am wildly cheering you on,
🤍Alita 🤍
About Janet Paolicelli
Born in Canada, Janet is diplomatic, kind, and is passionate about truth, love, and transparency. She's a graduate of Beaverton High School in Beaverton, Oregon, and Multnomah University, in Portland, Oregon, with a degree in biblical education.
A successful home-school mother, she's artistic and loves writing. It's no surprise that their sons, Titus and Simeon, got so much of their grace and talent from her.
Janet loves speaking about the growing character vacuum in society, and how to resist it. She loves helping people gain a clear understanding of what it really means to love themselves, and how to become unoffendable in a world where so many take offense so quickly.

In this episode, meet Talithia Williams, a math professor, science communicator, and TV personality who is also a wife and mother. Talithia and I discuss how she manages to juggle all of her roles. She is thoughtful and credits her supportive family and husband for encouraging her to pursue her passions. Our conversation is light-hearted and humorous, with Talithia's comedic talents shining through. Talithia shared her experiences of being a believer in secular spaces and how to navigate the balance between being bold and respectful. The episode offers an inspiring and entertaining look at a multi-talented woman who refuses to be defined by just one label.
Here are my Top 3 Favorite moments from the conversation with special guest
Dr. Talithia Williams.
We are all called to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our respective industries. It's not just those in ministry who do the work for the Lord. As believers, we are called to be the light in a dark world and share the love of Jesus wherever we go. Have a spirit of boldness and God confidence. Talithia spoke about how God has been talking to her about having a spirit of boldness and standing on a solid foundation. We don't have to apologize for being Christian or hide our faith. Instead, we can be unapologetically Christian and share our beliefs with confidence. It's not about your position. It’s about your positioning. Talithia shared how it's not about the job or the hobby, but the level of connection we have with others. Our relationships with people are what matter, as they provide us with opportunities to impact them for Jesus and eternity.I hope you all enjoy this episode as much as I did. It reminds us of our calling as believers and how we can navigate secular spaces with boldness and grace. Everyone has a role to play in sharing the love of Jesus. It's not just those in ministry who are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, but everyone in their industry and everyday life. We can all be a light in a dark world and share the love of Jesus with those around us.
We pray that you take away some valuable insights on positively impacting those around you. Remember to share your thoughts and takeaways in the comments!

I am excited to share the latest episode of our Women of Faith Show, where I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Melyn Galbreath, a mental health professional and advocate. During our conversation, Dr. Melyn shared some powerful insights and advice that will be valuable for all of us. Here are a few of my favorite takeaways from our conversation:
Expand your social circle: Dr. Melyn emphasized the importance of having a supportive network of friends, family, and colleagues, especially during difficult times. She encouraged us to actively seek out new relationships and be intentional about nurturing the ones we already have. Don't isolate yourself: Dr. Melyn stressed that isolation is one of the most damaging things we can do when struggling with mental health issues. She urged us to reach out for help, whether talking to a friend or seeking professional support. Prioritize self-care: Dr. Melyn shared some of her self-care practices, such as praying in the morning and asking for wisdom and insight. She also recommended listening to inspirational podcasts or music in the afternoon to help her stay motivated and focused. Please take the time to listen to this episode and hear more of Dr. Melyn's wisdom and insights.

Have you ever felt like anger was limiting you from accessing more of God in your life? Join us in this episode as Dr. India Logan and I have a deep conversation about the root of anger.
India shares how she was so angry and holding onto hurt stemming from a painfully abusive childhood. Her story of redemption and how she developed an early morning bible reading discipline in college that broke down the walls of anger to reveal God’s love story will inspire and challenge you. I love how His love story transformed her into becoming a reflective work of the healing Christ did in her life.
I had never heard it put like this when India said, “Anger feels like power while hurt feels vulnerable.” That resonated with me. We all experience hurt throughout our lives, and it is so important for us to submit our brokenness to the healing and redemptive grace of Jesus.
India's story can be an example to us all. We can choose to operate from a place of love instead of anger. We can choose to focus on the promises of God and the healing work that Christ did for us and in us.

What’s your motivation? Do you believe that what you do today matters for eternity? How is fear playing a role in what you say “Yes” to in your life journey? Life leadership, taking care of our physical bodies, and defining moments, all these and more are questions Sarah Keller, Co-Pastor of Next Level Church, and I tackle in this episode.
Points to Listen for and Remember:
Jesus is real, and the great commission is to share our faith with others.Discipline vs. Self MotivationWe are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, it’s important to take care of our physical bodies. How can trust in Jesus give us the courage to say yes to Him?God leads and teaches us one step at a timeWhat is dunamis power? The meaning of True LoveThe real attack on mental health and our belief systemDealing with deep pains of hurt, blame, and bitterness leads us to understand that forgiveness is part of God’s design and His grace towards us.I love how Sarah learned to overcome her fear by believing God’s word. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7, and I love how she breaks down this verse. Our feelings can hinder us, but God’s word sets us free!
Did you hear that defining moment when Sarah’s husband said, “Ok, well then, we know your lid.”? Oh my, that one got me. It’s so good. How many of you have someone who can speak the truth in a loving way that helps you become more?
Wow, one of the most impactful revelations is towards the end of our incredible conversation, when Sarah talks about the difference in forgiveness, reconciliation, and building back trust. Sarah’s truth is that being fearless is not the absence of fear, it's coming face to face with our fear and choosing to trust God! Amen! Praying this episode will encourage and inspire you to a deeper relationship with Jesus!
I am wildly cheering you on,
🤍Alita🤍
