WrestleMania III remains one of the biggest spectacles in all of pro wrestling (and sports entertainment). But beyond the matches that everyone remembers and talks about (specifically, Macho Man versus Ricky Steamboat and Hulk Hogan versus Andre the Giant), is the whole show worth going back to watch?
Listen as Joey and Chris break down every single match on Wrestlemania III, which took place on March 29, 1987 in Pontiac, Michigan!
-
Taking place in Detroit, Michigan and airing just over two weeks before the legendary Wrestlemania III, this edition of WWF (WWE) Saturday Night's Main Event builds up a few of the upcoming matches well while others are left out. Most of the buildup for the big show is contained within a big battle royal, but that doesn't necessarily mean the show is a bust. "Macho Man" Randy Savage takes on George "The Animal" Steele for the Intercontinental Title and the company of Miss Elizabeth, and tribute is paid to "Rowdy" Roddy Piper before his retirement match. Hear all about that plus The Hart Foundation vs. Tito Santana & Dan Spivey, King Kong Bundy vs. Jake Roberts, and Ricky Steamboat vs. The Iron Sheik in this episode of the Wrestling House Show Super Show!

This edition of Saturday Night's Main Event positions itself as something of a setup for one of the greatest super shows of all time, Wrestlemania III. Unfortunately, even with Hogan versus Orndorff in a steel cage, "Macho Man" Randy Savage battling George "The Animal" Steele, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in a grudge match with Adrian Adonis, and the Junkyard Dog refusing to bow to Harley Race, the show ended up being less than great. Find out why in this quick episode of the Wrestling House Show Super Show!

Originally a house show that was later released as WWF Coliseum home video, The Big Event took place at Exhibition Stadium in Toronto, Canada on August 28, 1986. With Junkyard Dog vs Adrian Adonis, Jake Roberts vs Ricky Steamboat, and Hulk Hogan vs Paul Orndorff as just a few of the show's big matches, and a live crowd of over 60,000 people (or 70,000 depending on who's counting), the show definitely had potential. But did it it live up to expectations? Find out in the Wrestling House Show's latest retro review!
