In Episode 3 of You Run Like A Girl, we tell a tale of two sisters. Kristen and Megan Hudson grew up cross-country skiing in the Canadian Prairies, going on to compete at the national and international level. But what is even more amazing is that Kristen was born with a rare genetic abnormality, resulting in a developmental delay. Determined and strong-willed, Kristen refused to let this stop her and eventually qualified for the World Special Olympic Games in Austria, where she won gold. Megan, Kristen and their mother Laurel speak about their childhood in Winnipeg, their love for competing, and the benefits of sport for developmentally disabled individuals.

The second episode of our Olympic series is part interview, part memoir. As our host interviews Jan Longmire, one of the top figure skating costume designers in the world, she also takes time to reflect on her own experiences (and dresses) as a young girl growing up and skating in Toronto. Longmire, who resides in California and has dressed everyone from Tara Lipinski to Sasha Cohen to current American Olympian Karen Chen, dishes on how she started, her creative process and why she'll never retire.
