In the words of Tom Wolfe in “The Right Stuff” (1979)
…."to sit on top of an enormous Roman candle, such as a Redstone, Atlas, Titan or Saturn rocket, and wait for someone to light the fuse."
explains the strong hold that space travel has always had on our imagination.
Humans have always looked at the heavens with childlike wonder and amazement.
The 20th century unfolded a few of its secret by sending machines, then animals and finally humans above Earth's atmosphere into the outer space.
Technology made these achievements possible, however, space exploration had already captured the minds of many people, not only aircraft pilots and scientists but also writers and artists.
In our Episode 3 of Season 3 we have with us Wg Cdr Rakesh Sharma, Ashok Chakra, the first Indian to travel into space on 03 April 1984!
