Billy McCarthy is the son of first and second generation Irish immigrants Margaret and Bill McCarthy. Their lives changed forever on 9/11, when they lost their son and brother Michael Desmond in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Centres in 2001. Michael Desmond worked on the 92nd floor of the North Tower, with a company called Carr Futures. He was 33, an assistant vice president, hugely successful and due to finish work that day at 10am.
Today, Billy speaks to me about the day that changed everything and I am so grateful for his time.

Mark Mehigan’s book This Is Not A Self Help Book begins ‘My name is Mark and I am an alcoholic. You could probably also call me a drug addict.’ When I read that first line I knew this would be one of the most honest book I’d ever read and from that moment I couldn’t put it down.
Today, I speak to Mark about his decision to share everything with the world, the good, the bad and the ugly. After spending much of his 20s addicted to alcohol and drugs, Mark found a way to turn his life around and he has never looked back.
Order Mark’s book.

Peter O'Riordan probably best known for his stint on Xpose is one in a million. With a big personality and an even bigger heart, Peter left Ireland when his TV career didn't work out and moved to Hawaii. After hitting rock bottom, he rebuilt his life and now owns 3 businesses in Maui. However, on August 8th last year, the world watched on as a wildfire in Hawaii burned his house down along with everything he owned. To make matters worse, Peter wasn't in Hawaii at the time and had to watch on TV from an airport. Today Peter tells me of the unimaginable journey he and his community has been on since then and how he is rebuilding his life.

Dr Mindy Pelz is today's guest on The Good Glow. After her mind blowing interview on Diary of a CEO, Dr Mindy is here for this life changing podcast!!
She's spent more than two decades helping women across the world reclaim their health. Her book is called Fast Like A Girl.
We speak about fasting for 13 hours for longevity and healing.
Dr Mindy speaks about hormones (in the least boring way you can imagine) and how to treat them in our cycle. When should be eating more carbs, when we should rest, when should we increase vegetables, when we should be planning, manifesting, lifting weights?
Then she speaks about when we are in the power phase, the manifestation phase and the nurture phase in each month.
Dr Mindy refers to this study.

Today, I am joined by my husband Jamie as we tell you all about our surrogacy journey in Georgia and the arrival of our daughter Tahlie.
‘Hi, my name is Tahlie. I was created 6 years ago and born on Monday. I was made when my mum got sick and I was frozen. I travelled to London for some tests then I came back home to Dublin for a few years. In 2021 I went to Ukraine but sadly a war broke out and I was rescued by an amazing man, put into his car, and driven to Slovakia. I spent some time in Bratislava and then I went back to Kiev. I went back to Bratislava for a while before taking a train to Berlin. From there I got another train to Paris and then I flew to Turkey, finally I landed in Tbilisi, Georgia where I was carried by an amazing lady for 9 months until I was born on Monday morning. My name is Native American and it means “Leaping Water”. | have leaped many seas, rivers and lakes to be here and I am 2 days old. My mum, dad and big sister Pia love me so much. My name is Tahlie Crawford, I am a miracle.’

Just a few years ago, Niall Harbison, entrepreneur and creator, was 'living his best life'. From the outside in it looked like he had it all, successful businesses and great people around him. But today he speaks straight from the heart about the reality of his life. Having sold his successful business Lovin Dublin, he moved to Thailand and hit rock bottom, he live tweeted about his breakdown and alcohol addiction and he ended up in intensive care. From there everything changed. With hope, belief and kindness everything changed. Now, two years later he has built an incredibly successful charity, feeding 800 street dogs a day (with an aim to reach 250 million globally). Everywhere he goes 100s of people follow him, he is so loved and today he tells us how kindness saved his life.
