  • This month's read is Epic Fantasy. In "The Fifth Season" we find ourselves on an alternate Earth, and seemingly follow three Orogene women (i.e. humans with the ability to manipulate the heat and structure of the Earth to their will) and learn the fate of this Earth — namely, that volcanic ash and earthquakes have been endlessly testing the very fate of humanity for millennia. As Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter rotate, so does the "fifth" season — Death.

Welcome back to "3 Friends and the Apocalit," a once-a-month book club podcast hosted by three ol' college friends: Annie, Elba, and Hallie, during the apocalit.

*NEW UPDATE* We are currently moving over to YouTube for our book club meetings. Please follow our updates on our Instagram at @apocalit_pod. Thank you for your support!

Next Month's (August) book is "Vile Bodies" (1930) by Evelyn Waugh.
